I did a lot of researching before deciding where to take my wedding dress to be altered. I ended up choosing Alteration Station and I am so HAPPY I did. I dropped off my dress 3 weeks ago and picked it up today. I loved my dress before taking it to them but when I tried it on again I fell in love with it all over again. She did a WONDERFUL JOB!! It looked like a completely different dress. I will definitely be referring people to them and if I ever need anything altered in the future I will be taking my business to Alteration Station. I was expecting to pay anywhere from $300-$500 and I walked out the door paying under $200. I was surprised that it only took 3 weeks because I was told from another place it would take 6-8 weeks. My daughter and I took a dress here. In my opinion a very hard alteration. Almost re-sizing the whole dress. You can't even tell its been altered. Nadia did a fantastic job. It couldn't have been more perfect. The dress was made by free people out of that thin gauze like material. I am just so happy with the results. My daughter loves it. I would have given this place zero stars if it were an option. I brought in a very nice pair of dress pants with a very small, 1/8", hole in one of the legs that I wanted repaired. I was stunned to be told that the only thing she could do was put nothing more than a "glue on patch" on the reverse side of the hole. Then the icing on the cake was when she questioned me asking "Where do you think you might wear these with a hole in them?" I told her I would find another place to do business with and I certainly didn't need to be questioned. It would seem this place has more than enough business so they will never get mine!! read more

This small family run alterations shop completely exceeded my expectations. I took my wedding dress to several different seamstresses to get estimates on alterations - I wasn't just looking for a good price, my dress had some rather complicated construction that required an experienced professional. Alteration Station was by far the least expensive - about 25-40% less than anywhere else. To be honest, I wasn't sure that they were qualified. They've done great work on everyday clothing items, but an expensive, complicated wedding dress is something entirely different and I'd heard horror stories about little alterations shops taking on work they weren't qualified to tackle. The seamstress was pleasant and listened to what I wanted, but also did not hesitate to tell me in no uncertain terms when a particular alteration I wanted was ill-advised. Given how nervous I was about the whole thing, I only asked for some of the alterations at the first visit and when I came back to try it on I was amazed. The alterations were done perfectly. I agreed to have her complete the rest of the alterations and was just as happy with the other work she did. Only one complaint, although the bustle was done beautifully it was slightly different (fewer points) than what I had requested. All in all, the experience was fantastic and I will happily recommend this shop to anyone who asks. They handle everyday clothing/alterations items as well in a little shop with dressing rooms and plenty of seats if you have a guest with you. read more

I bought a jacket from a thrift shop which ended up being too big on me. I price checked all other tailors in the area, none had prices or reviews that were as good as the Alteration Station. This is a cute little shop, the lady was very efficient and nice. You can't beat the price, I was quoted anywhere from $35-50 just to take in a jacket at other locations, this only cost me $18 and she did a wonderful job. I dropped off my skirt on Tuesday around 5 and asked if it could be ready within 2 days. I got a text Wednesday morning saying it would be ready after 3. Out of the 6 articles of clothing that I asked them to alter, there was only ONE that came out the way I requested. Not only were the pants still baggy but they altered a Vera Wang blouse and ruined it! When I returned to request a refund for only two of the items, the owner (the husband) was extremely rude and demanded that I allow him to fix it with no refund. When I explained I didn't want them to fix it since it was already ruined, he told me he was a bad guy and to call the police. He then told me to get the "F*** Off" and went into the back of the store. If you enjoy poor customer service and poor results, this is the place for you! read more

I walk by this place daily while walking my pooch and I usually see something nice hanging on the dress form in the window but never paid too much attention otherwise. One day I got the bright idea to start sewing so I bought a cheap sewing machine from the thrift store. It was all good til I needed "numbers" aka measurements of my self and found they were harder to get accurate with me measuring me. So I asked the lady of the store while passing by one day if she offered that service and for how much. She informed me that she would do it, told me what I needed to bring and said "no charge". I was astounded cause it's rare these days to get courtesy let alone courteous gestures of selflessness. She did it in less that 5 mins which included her explaining to me what each measurement meant and how to adjust. She's awesome and I know her work is too.
