Bella Bridal sent me and what a racket. $700 to have the hemline taken up, straps shortened and waist taken in. The hemline of my hand beaded chantilly lace dress was literally falling apart out of the bag on my wedding day. The dress was ill fitting. The bustle was a SAFETY PIN and tiny loop that both broke in 2 minutes. I had to carry my train for the rest of my wedding. I want my money back. They work with Bella Rose bridal and seem to have a sales/scam tactic going where they can put Brides in last minute desperate situations (and look like the hero) but charge $1400 for alterations where another place we ended up taking our dress to actually get fitted charged $135 and said they would have done the same alteration work for under $400. DO NOT GO HERE. Save yourself the stress, money, and heartache--take your wedding dress somewhere else for alterations. They kept my dress for nearly two months, only to hand it back unfinished, literally held together by pins and falling apart. When I brought it back, they did a rushed, sloppy job sewing the inside, which was still done incorrectly. I paid $600 for a deconstructed dress and didn't even receive a receipt with a breakdown of charges. When I asked for a refund, they refused and responded with profanity. I had to pay an additional $300 for a last-minute fix at a different alterations place just one week before our wedding. We dropped off the bridesmaids dresses in late May for August Wedding. In the middle of June when I went back for my dress fitting, the bridesmaids dresses were still hanging in the same dressing room untouched. They forgot about the dresses. The lack of organization is no wonder this happened. Then when I went back in early July for Tom to fix some messy stitching on my dress that was right in the front, the bridesmaids dresses were still hanging in the same spot! Forgot about them again! I left with the dresses and we had them altered elsewhere since we were under 30 days. read more

Bella Rose was late in receiving the dress. (That's a whole other complaint) I got my dress TWO AND A HALF WEEKS before my wedding, instead of the 3 months they promised. They told me to go to Tom, that he will have it ready for my wedding. I needed it taken in at the waist an inch or two. And then hemmed 3-4 inches. I also asked for the cups to be taken out and my bust taken in. And to add a bustle. Well he took in my waist. It fit perfect. But it was still too long. He only cut around the an appliqué in the Tull, and hemmed one layer of fabric underneath. He left the fabric he cut off and it was maybe an inch, maybe. The bustle consisted of 6 safety pins that were GOLD. And we're very visible. When he showed me how to use it he told me to loop the safety pins on to my dress button. He also didn't do anything with the bust. When I brought this up he said "it'll be fine, it'll look good in pictures." After all that he charged me $456. I totally understand the expedition charges, but Half a grand to just take scissor to it ??? Ridiculous. read more

I feel like 2 stars is too generous. I'm not sure why all the bridal/prom shops in okc recommend this place because any time Ive been here it's been awful. I took my prom dress here and had an awful experience but my bridal shop recommended this place and so did so many others so I thought maybe for a wedding dress it would be different. Tom said he'd take length off the dress and put in a bustle and take it in. When I got my dress back virtually no length had been taken off, my dress did fit but they didn't account for the fact that wedding dresses do stretch so it was basically falling off of me on my wedding day, the buttons they added in for sleeves ripped the day of so I couldn't put on a crucial part of my dress and after doing some research the bustle could have completely ripped my dress due to how heavy my dress was. I was also charged $400 for all of this which is OUTRAGEOUS. I think you can go here if you have a simple gown/fix but for those with elaborate dresses don't go here. I learned my lesson. read more

Ruined my finances wedding dress. They didn't provide the services and adjustments requested and agreed on when dropping the dress off. When picking the dress up the concerns were raised with the staff and they brushed them off saying they did what was asked.. but they would "fix" what was needed for more money. Value for money was not good. Charged hundreds of dollars for the alterations.. which weren't completed.. and then said they would carry out "more" alterations for another couple hundred dollars. Tom is amazing! He did a fantastic job on my wedding dress and was happy to make small changes to get it just the way I wanted. He was very knowledgeable with his work and accommodated my schedule for my fittings and got everything done in a timely manner. He was so so sweet every time I saw him and made me feel so beautiful in my dress!! He also did my mom's dress and sister's bridesmaid dress and they turned out perfect as well! I got 2 suits tailored and they were done well. But it cost $300 . Seems way too expensive . Most places charge about $60-$80 to get a suit tailored. Not $150 read more

This dress went from a size 14/16 to a size 2 FLAWLESSLY! I found my dream dress on a sale rack and just couldn't pass it up, Tom took it in multiple times due to my size and me loosing more weight as it was closer to the wedding. No wonder everyone in the OKC metro goes here! They're super busy, reasonably priced, talented and they fix pretty much anything! I brought in my son's baby bumper that he kicked and treated like it was nothing fancy which It was a Pottery Barn Kids one so I didn't want him messing it up! I actually took this bumper to my old tailor to fix and she missed all the spots and stuffing was coming out so I decided to take it here. When I dropped it off and picked it up there was at least 3 other people in there whether it be someone trying on a wedding dress or dropping off a suit. The man helping me was very pleasant and kind. What he quoted me is what I paid for when I picked up which is great. I definitely recommend them to everyone! read more

I can't say enough about Tom! My daughter chose a fully hand beaded dress less than two weeks before prom that required some fairly extensive alterations. (fully convinced teenage daughters feed off of a mother's anxiety lol) I have to admit, I had fully braced myself for this man to look at me like I was crazy when we went in on Monday (prom is this Saturday) but he assured me they would have the dress ready Thursday. He made excellent suggestions on what we should do with the dress and made sure we understood the differences in each option provided. Y'all. He did a FLAWLESS job. The dress fits perfectly, the floral pattern in the beading is still exact, (still have no idea what magic he used to accomplish this) and when I called to let him know we'd not be able to make it before closing today (because I was delayed at work) he said to feel free to come by and pick up after hours because he'd still be working!! I dropped my dress off in July of 2023 and it wasn't ready until September 2023, we discussed a 5 point bustle, taking it in at the chest and waist, and hemming also adding a second strap. The day I went to pick it up there was several people in the small shop making me feel rushed. I paid 719$. I knew it didn't fit right at the try on so I tried it on again the next day. The chest and waist wasn't touched for alterations like we discussed and one of the bustle threads broke. I called to see about getting it fixed and I was told the bustle he would fix but the chest and waist he would have to see if it was able to be fixed or I would have to pay more. At 719$ for alterations it should have fit like expected with no changes needed. It being so close to the wedding day I couldn't bring myself to chance dropping off my dress again. The day of the wedding the bustles could hardly be found as they all fell under the top layer of the dress. So I paid for a 5 point bustle and was only able to use 1. The chest was very loose to where it was uncomfortable along with the waist which should have been tighter like discussed at alterations. !!!!!!!WARNING TO ANY BRIDE WHO GETS ALTERATIONS DONE HERE: I will literally never recommend any of my friends to get their wedding dress altered here. I had to have so many modifications done because Tom did not listen to me and my requests. Their seamstress only put one bustle on my dress and the WEEK before my wedding it RIPPED my dress and completely fell apart. He only put 1 bustle even though my dress was a longer train and the crape made it heavy. THANK THE LORD I opened up my dress a week before and not my wedding day. I ended up going to a place in the city I am originally from (because I was there for my wedding) and that seamstress said they did so many other things wrong (in regards to forming it to my body etc) and I ended up paying another 300$ in alterations. I will NEVER ever ever take anything here. I was so stressed out the week before my wedding when I shouldn't have even had to worry about this! If you want your dress done right, go somewhere else. I would confidently send any friend to Tom for wedding dress alterations! I called Alterations by Sarah after being quoted an absurd amount for wedding dress alterations at another local shop. He kindly explained what my dress needed and how much each change would cost. My dress has five layers that he hemmed and it needed to be taken in on the bust and hips with intricate lace and beadwork. Took my bridesmaid dresses to Tom and he told me two weeks. When I called the day before the two week mark he told me he needed another week. When I went to pick them up he told me they still weren't ready. He didn't touched any of my dresses in the three weeks they were there and proceeded to ask for more time. I then took my dresses back after not having them for three weeks and nothing being done. So all I have to say is go at your own risk don't be expected to be told what's going on or getting notified if what you brought is ready. By far my favorite alternations place in Oklahoma City! They are so talented, fast and cheap. They can pretty much fix anything from jeans to wedding dresses. I've also taken my Pakistani formal wear (shalwar Kameez) here to be tailored. Which is hard due to all the beading and work on the outfits. I really don't like to leave bad reviews. But this was a very stressful, expensive place for not great work. I went in the get my wedding dress hemmed and bustled. At the drop off appointment, he marked the hem in one spot and I told him I needed the bustle to pull up the dress because we are ballroom dancing. He marked the dress and said it would be ready. It was very crowded at the drop off and I got my claim ticket and was hurried out the door. When I returned for my dress, the bustle was way too long and he said he could make it a 3 point bustle if I waited. So I waited 20 minutes.... Train was still too long to dance in. So I waited 20 more minutes for the 5 point bustle. During the last wait period I asked how much he was going to charge. Tom informed me it was 250 for the hem and 100 for the bustle. Now, 250 for a hem on a wedding dress that is tulle with a few rows of vertical beading and sequins seemed a bit much. When I pushed back he said that when he hemmed it all the beads fell off and had to be sewn back on by hand and took 2 hours ($125/hour). That could have been prevented if they threw in a safety stitch before cutting. The bustle started out at $35 but every time it was still too long and I had to tell him to add more points he raised the price. So by the end of it, I had waited over 1 hour 15 minutes, and was out $350 and I still step on my dress a little but I just took it because I wanted out of there. He was also rude telling other customers he was frustrated by the brides in the shop. I tried to be understanding but... I won't be returning. I can't believe my dress shop recommended this place. read more

I took a dress in to be hemmed and have the straps brought up and stated I needed the dress in 10 days. I called 8 times the day I was supposed to pick it up and no one answered. I then went over to the store, and they hadn't even TOUCHED my dress. It was still hanging on the rack with marks and pins in it. Be careful and make sure you ask for a price before you hand your dress over to this place . They charged me $75 to hem my dress and move a button over just a bit . Right before my elopement I asked a friend with daughters if she had any recommendations. Wow! Night and day. They knew what needed to be done. They had very short notice.
