Cecilia is phenomenal at reworking the lines of a garment. Those who complained were either not clear with her or had expectations of looking like a fashion model after they received their altered garments back. It doesn't work that way. Cecilia is able to tailor well-made garments so that they fit even better and look like they are custom-made. If a cheap item is brought to her you're going to get a cheap item back. The only thing she can do is work with the lines of the fashion, not the fabric that you're bringing to her. Have realistic expectations and invest in good clothing. If you do that and you use an excellent seamstress like Cecilia, your clothing will look like it was made for you. She can't make a silk purse from a sows ear, so don't expect her to. People need to be fair and realistic and plan expectations properly. Don't blame the seamstress for cheap clothing. Trust this woman with your garments. But invest in good clothing to prevent disappointment. Cecilia is highly, highly recommended by this customer who has a background in the fashion world.

Had the worst experience ever!! We had an appointment at 11:30. We got there 10 minutes early and…read morewere barely greeted. The lady took one look at us and said this is our sales section, pick out dresses. When we picked them out she then took my daughter into the room and said your mother needs to come in and help you. One of the dresses she tried on she was on the fence about, but wanted to see it with a veil and was told she couldn't because she had someone else so she would have to wait. Then was told why are you even asking me for a veil. After that response we knew we were not happy there nor wanted. So we left the dresses on the back of the door and without saying goodbye left trying to show respect for the other customer that was being taken care of. So we left and took our $1500 elsewhere and had a wonderful experience said yes to a dress, veil, belt, boots and Tierra. Their loss our gain.

Long story short: my European-based tailors for a dance suit (unique, stretchy, weird) screwed up in a lot of ways, meaning I didn't get a new dance jacket until the same day as a competition. The tailors at Lynn were able to not only get it tailored properly, but they significantly IMPROVED its construction in virtually every way, and in less than two hours. They literally took a mess and made it perfect in every way, and for a remarkably affordable price. I still get compliments on the jacket (pictured, literally ONE HOUR after Lynn fixed it up!). While I'll hopefully never have a similar emergency in the future, I can't recommend this place enough.

We did the Sewing 101 class on a Saturday morning. We thought we'd maybe come in and learn how to use a machine, but we even made a little project while we were there! We started not knowing how to thread a sewing machine, and 1.5 hours later we walked out with bags we made! The instructor and the assistant were both very nice. There were only 2 of us in the class, and some kids who were working on projects did stop in a bit later. The instructor explained you can also book a time to bring in a project you're working on, and they'll help you make it happen. This little girl was literally sewing a whole dress from a pattern! They also offer a Sip and Sew class you can book with your friends. You can bring wine, you get to pick your fabric, and they'll walk you through making bags. Overall, we had THEE BEST time! It was worth every penny. I can't wait to go back and do it again.

As we went over each dress, she talked through the plan and made sure I was comfortable with where the design was heading. I came to her with 2 dresses that I've had forever but never wore because it needed some tweaks. Problem was, I didn't know exactly what each dress needed in order for them to feel more like me. Sheila walked me through her thought process and bounced ideas back and forth and before I knew it, she's pinned both dresses into something in really excited to wear!
