DO NOT RECOMMEND! I called on a Wednesday to schedule an appointment for Saturday at 2pm. She clearly stated to me that if I need to cancel or reschedule to notify her before-hand. I made it to my appointment at 1:56pm. The address on Google took me to a location that looks like it's under construction so I called the phone number. She answered and I said "I have an appointment for today at 2pm", but before I could mention anything about a possible wrong address from Google Maps, she asked me if I can come for tomorrow, Sunday at 2pm instead. I said "no, I have an appointment scheduled for today at 2pm". I could clearly hear that she's driving, because the GPS gave directions. Then she stated "I know, but I can't make it for today. We can do for tomorrow." Idk who EVE thinks she is; but EVERYONES' time is important! She told me notify her to cancel, but she didn't have the decency to do the same! I then said to her " we had an appointment scheduled for today, not tomorrow, and you didn't think to notify me that you would have to cancel it for today?", and she had no response and kept silent. I bought a size large dress that was tight fitting, however, the back zipper would not go up (ran too small in China size). I found this shop and Eve said she could make the back into a corset back with satin and take out the cheap breast cups/pads and add better ones. The service was done in 1 day. I had some trouble getting in touch with her the day of the pick up, but eventually the dress was ready and done perfectly. I paid $88 for the dress and then the alterations were $80 also..... A bit expensive than what I was expecting, but I was in a bind last minute and Eve came through! Thank you!!! read more

I had to get ready for 7 weeks of travel and I was dismayed to find that an excellent tailor that I had found left the place she had worked at. I was told she moved out of state. But I had a number of jackets, pants and shirts that I needed altered ASAP. Since plans came together rather abruptly I was at a pinch to find a good tailor who could deal with the volume of items that needed tending. Having read both good and bad reviews I took a leap of faith and decided to checkout this establishment. I had mentioned my dilemma to the owner and she seemed quite nice. I underlined the fact that I had 9 days to get my clothes ready. I asked her if she could handle the volume of 4 jackets, 4 pairs of pants, 5 dress shirts and a couple of casual shirts. Except for the jackets needing some bringing in, the rest was not too difficult: pants hemmed, dress shirts and casual shirts tapered to be more of an athletic cut at the bottom. Who wants a shirt that looks like a boat sail on them? Uhm not I. However, what I couldn't figure out was that she insisted on making the task more complex by suggesting that she would taper the sleeves on all my shirts as well. I had kindly explained to her that I am a gym enthusiast and I humbly mentioned that my back and arms are a little bigger than others. I suggested that she take that into account in regards to her wanting to taper the sleeves of all my shirts, as well as the back area. She ignored what I felt was evident but she assured me otherwise. I said to myself "What do I know? She's the expert". Incidentally I had a friend who also needed a pair of pants hemmed that day. I mention him because he bought his pants for hemming the same day I had all my items bought in where she had said that to him that his pants would be ready that next Tuesday, (that would be about 5 days later) and all my items were to be ready 3 days after his on that Friday afternoon. (The day before I would leave the next morning on Saturday). Bad mistake. I saw 2 red flags already. 1 It would take her 5 days to get his one item hemmed. 2 My items would be ready just the day before I leave not leaving anytime for adjustments I was infuriated and appalled on what happened to my clothes. First keep in mind that she makes you pay upfront. OK Then as I had mentioned, when my friend picked up his pants that Tuesday (about 5 days I had dropped my items off along with his), I had asked her how my alterations were going? She said I hadn't started them yet. I said in a calm but concerned voice "Really?" She assured me that it will be OK; she just had been set back a little and she would have them all done by Friday as she promised. I said "OK" gave her a smile and gave her the benefit of the doubt. - So in a nutshell I had bought in my items about 9 days before my trips; after 5 days she still had nothing done despite how much there was to do. That Friday: I came in and she greeted me and told me that she was sorry but she hadn't finished everything. I said "What do you mean?" She said: "There are couple of shirts I hadn't been able to do yet as well as some pants and a jacket or two. I will stay here at the shop past closing time and finish your items which you can come back and pick up. I will call you" (Note: Her shop is not near me). I was in a little state of panic despite my calm but I felt dismayed and a bit of anger. I couldn't believe this. So I went ahead and tried on some of the alterations on the items she did work on. And the disappointment continued: Let's start with what was right: She had my jeans altered well, a casual shirt was OK and she got creative with one of my jackets - loosened it up around the shoulders. What she didn't do right: * Some of my most favorite shirts were botched including a fave casual shirt that was just hacked. She claimed one of the girls who came to help her had cut too much material off which effectively ruined it. She unabashedly asked me how much I had paid for it. I was too stunned to answer. One of my most favorite shirts had been ruined. There really isn't a price for a fave shirt you've kept well over the years. *The dress pants for the wedding was botched, They were hemmed too short. Something seemed odd when she wanted to place pins on my pants without my shoes on? * A number of my dress shirts were she had insisted on tapering the arms became too tight. Tight where? My arms and my back collectively. * 2 of the jackets were not ready for pick up * A second pair of pants was not ready for pick up * and 2 casual shirts that needed tapering at the waist was also not ready to pick up. I was not happy. She told me to go home and that she would work after hours and would call me when it was ready. An hour or two later she called me to tell me that she couldn't do it. That I gave her too much work and that her parents were in town to visit. I left and had to bring my clothes to another tailor abroad. Hindsight TIP: Listen to your gut. Not recommended. read more

Nice people and great prices... went to this place to take my stepdaughters brides maid dress to get some alterations and to take my wedding dress to make some alterations ...the owner was very kind and knowledgeable of what she needed to do ... she has years of experience and I could tell this is her passion! you won't be disappointed! Very flexible prices and excellent customer service ... After she returned the dresses I had to take them to the dry cleaners they were dirty and I had to pay 500. Extra! It's long, short, long, short all over. The under lining is showing on random spots and it looks HORRENDOUS! When i told them they said they'd fix it by making it shorter all around. BUT if they made it shorter my feet would be hanging out. It was a complete disaster. And it's not like it was a rushed job. They had a week to hem the dress. The only tailoring shop in Kissimmee! We took in my Hawaiian dress that came from Hawaii but was completely the wrong size. I explained that I thought the dress could be shortened and the extra material used to enlarge the dress on the sides and bust. Not only did Eve alter the dress to fit but the seams were finished so as to not ravel, but she tapered the panel to keep the A line style if the dress. She saved me a very expensive return! You can only tell the zipper was replaced in the jeans because I opted for the heavy duty zipper. She even matched the hot pink stitching on my favorite pair of jeans. My friend gave her bridesmaid dress to this place plenty of time in advance. She called the store the night (Friday) before picking up the dress to verify they were open the next day (Saturday) and they confirmed they were going to be open at 1pm. We show up a little after 1pm and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE IS THERE. They aren't open on Sundays and the wedding is Monday. That is absolutely unacceptable. Now we have sat in the parking lot for over an hour thinking maybe the person may be running late opening but OVER AN HOUR? That is completely unprofessional and unreliable. Next time, maybe someone should reach out and let us know before we waste gas and time coming to the store for a dress we ABSOLUTELY needed by a certain time. read more

HORRIBLE experience!!! Do not go by all means. I dropped off my scrub pants on Saturday to be done by Tuesday. I Showed up Friday and it wasn't done. The owner claimed she mixed up the pants and put it in the wrong bin. She than stated I can wait and she would do it in 20 mins. I show back up in 20 mins. She said 10 more mins. End up waiting for a hour for simple alteration to be done!! Than the owner had a bad attitude cause I asked for a $5 discount. Cause I've been there before and she makes prices based off certain people. And she forgot she gave me the better discount in the past So hey! Go at your own discretion. Been here twice. The first time I was having two patches sewn onto my shirt and gettting a pair of shorts fixed. The second time for another patch. The work is always done quickly and ready by the time I'm told to pick it up. Have not had a problem with any of the work done either since getting my items back. I went to Eve's based on reviews, pricing, and pretty much the great experience people had with this store. However, I did NOT experience any of it. I had 9 pair of pants that needed to be hemmed and fixed with some buttons and zippers. I dropped of the clothing on a Monday and was told they'll be ready by Saturday. (5 days of my clothes being at this location). On Friday, I received a call confirming they will be ready on Saturday at 1pm. So on that day I went and to my disappointment. None of them were ready. I was upset at the fact that they had my clothes for 5 days to just do some hemming and some repairs. Second, she was giving some excuse as to why they were not done, Third, they called me on Friday confirming to have me come by on Saturday to pick them up. If they new it wasn't going to be ready, (which pretty sure they knew that around closing time which is at 6pm)they should of followed up and let me know that they're not ready. Now I can understand if it was a wedding dress, prom dress that requires extra attention. But PANTS? Come on. It was a waste of my gas going there and waste of time dealing with this store. I will never go here. I ended up going to another place that did it that SAME day and cost less. Eve's place was charging my $70 just for hemming and a button and 2 zippers when I was charged $42 at the other place and the job was done that same day. I recently took in my wedding dress to be bustled and 1 bridesmaid dress to be shortened. She thought she could figure it out so I left it with her. She then called days later and said she could not figure out how to bustle my dress and did not want to to it. I appreciate that she admitted to not knowing how to bustle my particular dress but I did not appreciate the 2 FOOD STAINS she added to my dress! Also she charged me $58 for shortening the bridesmaid dress which my other bridesmaids got done in Lake Nona for $34. So I am not happy nor am I Impressed with Eve's Alterations. Beware. read more

I went to Eva's alteration because of the reviews that was on Yelp. I could say my experience I had was not that great. When I went last Tuesday to drop off my dress the nice lady ask me to put the dress on with my shoes, so I did. I heard a man talking about something that he should of wait to go home or went outside to talk about because it wasn't a topic he should have talk about in a business. So I can out with my dress and shoes on. The nice lady ask me how short did I want the length so I showed her and she place a safety pin. I took off my dress and I handed it to the nice lady. She ask me to fill out my information on this tablet with my name and phone number. She told me it will be 35 dollars to be hem and she said when do I needed but. I told her the wedding was Friday the 20. She told me so next Tuesday ok I said ok that will work. I go in on next Tuesday and the nice lady is there I told her I'm here to pick up my dress and hands her my paper. She looking for like three minute and she ask a man in the back to help her she then ask me what color was my dress so I told her. They find my dress and to come find out it was not ready. So the nice lady ask me if I can come back tomorrow to pick it up and she will give me 50 percent off. I told her I couldn't because I work all day. So she ask me to put the dress on with my shoes so I did. When I came out the room I noticed she was starting to cry. She took my measure again and said she will work on it now. While she was working on my dress another customer came in so she stop and help him. Then she went back to my dress. Then another customer came in and she stop and help them. I was there for an hour waiting on my dress. When the nice lady finish my dress she told she was going to give me 20 percent off for waiting. We took a brand new dress, regular size, my wife uses a petite and the back was not flush with my wives back. My wife and I liked the dress so we thought of trying an alteration to get it the way she liked. After asking, and trying the dress at shop. Eve the owner, claimed she could fix it. First: she has another seamstress do the work, it is not her. Next she denies all she told us, and justifies other reasoning. I told her all she had to do is tell us she couldn't do it. She told us she will not do that kind of job going forward, and claimed it took her seamstress 2 hours. As a seamstress you would think she could do that type of work. The job was to take up both shoulder straps. When finished one strap was wider than opposite side. I told her, job was not to our satisfaction. She told us, will there is other customers that were happy with her work. She was trying to use me and my wife against each other also. I am glad my wife stood up to her, telling her the dress was worst than we bought it in to her. We still paid the $16 she charged us, and minimized the argument. But I told her I will write a review, which were few (3) to warn other customers to be careful of what they bring her, because she and her seamstress can not handle the job. I seen 4 1/2 stars on Yelp.com and was looking forward to the dress being done right and her making claims she could do it for us. She may be able to put zippers on pants, like a 5 star. I gave a star, because you cannot write a review without a least putting a star. I want to warn customers. I would give her no stars and definitely will not go back. read more
