They did such great work and were so reasonably priced that I knew I was not going to have an easy time replacing them. So I researched through Yelp. (As a Yelper, it only made sense!) I decided on Stitch Wiz in the Berkshire Plaza at Broadway and Camino Seco. Finding the shop was a bit difficult, but part of that was operator error (mine). The shop's name was over a side area and I walked the whole length of it, not finding the shop. So I called and the owner came out to find me. How embarrassing - the store was right in front of my parking space! I brought in a dress that I loved the top half of. It has pleats and fancy stitching and I loved the cinched waist. What I wanted was to have the skirt (which was losing its hem anyway), to be cut off and hemmed a few inches below the waist. I picked it up today and it was perfect. I now have a gorgeous top with a peplum bottom. The price was fair and I am happy to have found my new alterations shop.

She does a lot of wedding dress work, proms and formals. She takes pride in her work and she charges fairly. I said this is a kilt and I only needed the hip buckle reinforced. Clearly, he was very shook up as he could not comprehend my request. He then said to leave his alterations shop. I did and went to another seamstress shop, who said my kilt buckle reinforcement is an easy fix.

Not only is he not pleasant but he is condescending when you are trying to ask questions. The last 3 visits which are weekly I noticed that my board shorts come back very wrinkled and almost look they have not been dry cleaned the last time about a 2 weeks ago I asked the individual to please have them redone. When I went to pick up it they looked the same. He said I can resend and I said I am going out of town and need so he offered 1/2 off but said the manager may disagree and ask for the 1/2 off returned. This morning, my husband went to drop of my things off and was told by the young person that I need to go somewhere else. Absolutely amazing, but what is more interesting is I've noticed for about a year that they are doing less and less dry cleaning and laundry as not alot of folks using them anymore. I wonder why!

She is very quick with what she does. Same-day or next day pickup, usually same-day depending how busy she is; it is so fast that you can sit and wait for your clothes!
