I took my Scottish wool kilt to have the belt buckles reinforced on June 16. As I walked into the alteration shop, the young male seamstress looked alarmed and told me to read a posted sign about skirt alterations. I said this is a kilt and I only needed the hip buckle reinforced. Clearly, he was very shook up as he could not comprehend my request. He then said to leave his alterations shop. I had been in search of someone to tailor my favorite pants and entrusted Rebecca after reading the reviews. I'm not disappointed. I had 8 pairs of pants that needed taken up. She initially made the necessary measurements which built my confidence and promised a very prompt pickup date. She replied earlier than expected for pickup and did a perfect job for a reasonable price. I love my pants and will bring all future alteration needs to Rebecca. So glad I found this place on Yelp. It is so close to me drive wise as well. I will not hesitate to bring anything here. It was my first stop of day doing errands. I needed some alterations on my scrubs/uniforms. Rebecca was leaving for an appointment and asked if it was ok to come back later so she could measure me proper, I did my other errands and on way home came back. She thanked me when I returned she said it was for medical appointment, I said no worries your so close to me I didn't mind coming back and understood everyone needs medical care and support that. So I returned later that day she measured me up and did fitting, then I asked about keeping original hem, she said it would be way more difficult to line up and take more time additional price and I decided it wasn't worth keeping original hem if alterations cost more than uniform.... I was disappointed to be honest and wondered what kind of work she did since I never used her or any seamstress since moving to Oro Valley. When I picked up my scrub pants which were 4 pair she matched the color thread so well and noticed impeccable stitching. Now I understand why she would charge more for original hem because it is difficult color to line up as well as the slits etc... but do not regret my decision. I am excited to find such talented seamstress so close to me, and cleaners when I need. Very good quality work, there was some broken Korean- English which I felt comfortable that she and I were both on same page. I read in another review someone had issue with language and also definitely did not experience any issues with my race being held against me Greek-American. I wanted a small place where I could reliably dry clean/occasionally alter my special occasion clothing since I had moved here from NYC . Based on the Yelp reviews, I initially went to the Shaffer's near my house. They ended up damaging my expensive clothes & ruining the linen table runners. Never again, so my search for another dry cleaner continued until I finally found Rebecca's Alterations & Sun Dry Cleaners. I drive almost 10 miles from Tucson to drop off my stuff here in Rebecca's located in Oro Valley, right off La Canada Dr., but it's worth of my time & efforts. The owner, Rebecca, greets me with a smile & remembers my first name. She is professional, courteous, & superb on what she does. 9I would give ZERO if I could. We dropped off 2 comforters and ONE set of King size sheets to be washed. Our sweet fur baby has Epilepsy and had seizures two nights in a row. When she has seizures sometime she peepees a little. The owners acted like we had brought in items that had the Black Plague on them. We were told he would have to call and get the price. He did call me back the same evening (after they had closed) to quote the price. Mind you it was 2 comforters and 1 set of sheets...I was given a price of $170 to WASH our items. I told him where we usually take our items it's would be less than $20 for all of it. I told him we would come pick our items up and take them elsewhere. He then demanded we come right then to pick up our items! We found this place of business to have no customer service and completely disrespectful. We will NEVER take any items to this business again. Respnse to owners reply: The owner is correct our dog who has Epilepsy as I stated in my post did have seizures two nights in a row. When she has break through seizures she does urinate, however as I stated and told the owner it was just a tiny amount. The items were in plastic bags. They were in our car (SUV so no trunk) and there was no smell at all. We usually take the items to a different service, but thought we would try this location since it closer. Today we took the items where we usually do (mind you the bags were still in our car from yesterday and STILL no smell). We are able to pick them up same day (latest the next day, they will be fresh, clean and smell wonderful all for $20...bonus were we took them will even be polite, respectful AND thank us for our business. I had never been to Rebecca's Alterations before finding the location online when looking for a place to hem my bridesmaid dress. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and asked what I needed help with. I explained that I was in a time crunch to have my dress altered and I was imported by the friendly attitude that was shown to me and her willingness to help. I tried on my dress and the dress was pinned for hemming. I was in and out of the location quickly and was told I would receive my dress within the week. As promised, the dress was ready promptly and the alterations were prefect. The work was exceptional and I appreciated the speed and quality of the work. I chose Rebecca based on the great reviews of my fellow Yelpsters. You were absolutely right about this establishment! I had Rebecca fix a zipper on a winter coat ($18) and a pair of shorts ($12). Workmanship was excellent and those prices were well under the initial estimate. So then I tried Rebecca for laundry. All my clothes were expertly washed, lightly starched and ironed on hangers. And the laundry tags were already removed for me! Now that is Super Service! I am new to Tucson and now I have found my seamstress and clothing cleaner. Thanks YELP. read more

I took all my coats there for 2 years and loved it. It's a bit pricier than the previous dry cleaner I went to but it's worth it. The lady there (not sure if that was Rebecca) was always pleasant, and took really good care of all my coats. She went beyond what I would have expected, adding buttons and sewing small tears. I am a transplant from Houston Texas and I am use to custom tailors for my suits and pants. The initial impression was that they did not want to help me and attempted to send me across town to another tailor. I felt offended and wondered did they even want my business. They initially told me they didn't speak English, until I told them I reside in Oro Valley, 5 mins from their business. The final product was substandard based on my prior experience with tailors. I would not recommend this business based on the lack of customer service, esp when dealing with African American customers. read more

You know I just had these tiny 2 repairs to 2 garments and it was just 6 bucks with no complaints by the owner. Thank you for not embarrassing me because I can't sew and had these ridiculous, simple repairs (PS please don't tell my Mother that I can't even sew a button on). Anyway, when I picked up the 2 garments, they were even pressed. Come on! So nice! The prices aren't bad but they add up. The time frame I was given for my dress blew my mind because it'll be ready quicker than I expected! Took some of my fathers pants to be re-hemmed as they were too long and when he wore them they ended up torn and ragged.
