This place charges a RIDICULOUS amount to alter dresses. They charged me twice what the dress cost. They also claimed they called me and quoted me the price however I received no phone call, voicemail, text message etc. They take your garment and then claim they will call you later about the cost. ALWAYS check the price before committing. Regarding the dress, it was ok but I had to get them to redo the clasp at the front of the dress, as it was visible and looked terrible. Given the quality and the cost I would not go here again. read more

I can tell that she knows about fabrics and their properties very well. As soon as I told her my issue, she was great to explain why that happened, how it could be corrected and what I should expect. I'm really impressed. Lidia took in a pair of pants for me, easy enough. But, the real test was a sentimental item that had been ripped in several places by our new puppy. I thought it was a goner, but thought I'd just ask...I was almost embarrassed to do so and told her "don't laugh" when I presented the item. I brought my dress slacks here to be hemmed because Yelp readers said she was good. I came back when promised and great, they were ready! When I went in to try the slacks, I asked if she could sew the hem that had had come down on one leg of my shorts that I was currently wearing. After trying on my my slacks, which were perfectly done (!), she handed me my shorts - already fixed! And she re-sewed BOTH legs of the shorts because she felt that if it happens to one side, it will surely happen to the other side.
