My daughter was pulled over by the sheriff while she had a debilitating headache so she couldn't drive, and the Sheriff called Felix for a tow. The charges for a 13 mile tow and 1.5 days of storage was $354.71. Storage is $55/day, and a day is a minute or 24 hours. When the calendar changes, they charge you $55. They charged my daughter $165 for 36 hours of storage! I would call this taking advantage of helpless people. It's unethical and ridiculous. I would avoid these people at all costs. They should be ashamed, but I'm sure they're not. Stay away from these larcenists--certainly don't call them for a tow unless you want to be extorted to get your car back.

My appointment was for 1pm. My car wasn't moved from where I parked it until 1:25. I thought once they had my car in the garage and had a look at it that they would come out to the waiting room to give me my options. Instead, they installed a $254 battery; they thought this was ok for a 20yo car. There was no communication with me regarding anything until 2:45 when Brian came to the waiting room to inform me of $2000 worth of work that my car needed, which included $761 for 2 rear struts. I never asked for a full car inspection. I thought I would not be able to leave, but I was informed the battery was not yet installed. I didn't get out of there until 4 pm. Once I arrived home I took a closer look at my receipt and saw that I was billed $85 for a "charging system test" which I did not ask for, nor was it necessary. I then looked under the hood and saw that even though they had my car for 3 hours, they couldn't take a minute to do a courtesy top-off to the power steering fluid and brake fluid, but instead left them at below the low mark. The AAA battery they installed had a black date sticker of 6/24; a one-year old battery.

I would not recommend Gerber Collision & Glass based on my experience. The communication throughout…read morethe repair process was extremely disappointing. I was told I would receive updates twice a week, but they never reached out as promised. I had to contact them myself multiple times just to find out what was happening with my vehicle. When I was initially told my vehicle was ready for pickup, I discovered that only one of the two repairs had actually been completed. They were quick to take responsibility and cover the additional rental car expenses, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, when I went back the second time, I noticed that part of the bedside was still visibly bent, although it had been repainted. I was initially told that the area was simply part of the vehicle's normal body shape. I had to point out the significant difference between the two sides, show them the bent support piece underneath, and provide photos showing what the vehicle looked like before the accident. There were also issues with the decal that had been installed. It was placed incorrectly and was very noticeably crooked. They eventually corrected everything, but the entire repair process took approximately three times longer than I was originally told it would, largely because the work had to be corrected after the initial repairs. My insurance company referred me to this shop, but based on my experience with the communication, attention to detail, and quality of the initial repairs, I would not personally recommend Gerber to others.
