The maintenance team is also top-notch--quick to respond and often able to resolve issues the same day, even on weekends. Pool and jacuzzi are always clean and was a great amenity. Management is always making improvements to the community, which made CentrePointe a great place to live. It's definitely a place we'll miss!

This is my 5th apartment in LA county where I truly had SO many issues beyond count. Summarizing some of the goods and bad below: Pros: Fair security deposit and timing on paying the deposit after move out Security guard is friendly and makes you feel better about the garage parking Great location in west LA, generally safe neighborhood, proximity to LAX Modern security and access controls (app instead of key fob) Maintenance and front office staff are fast to respond and generally helpful Renovated units, amenities. They even added a water line for the fridge that I brought with me Cons: Homeless permanently living on selby ave (right out back from the complex) to which the city won't do anything about it. While you pay extraordinary rents. Unit inspection checklist Our unit was renovated in some ways but off putting in others, holes in walls, scrapes in walls, dirty wall switches, no door sweeps, missing blinds, etc. when I first moved in and documented all this it took 6 months to get any resolution as I was told (emergency repairs only during COVID) Thieves/homeless casing the security guard hours and stealing laundry from the communal laundry room and/or scavaging dumpsters for recyclables (our comforter and several towels were stolen right after the security guard finished up in the morning. security cameras did nothing nor did the police) Mice/rats, roaches, and silverfish sightings are a frequent occurrence. We did get complimentary spraying twice a month to help combat this. Apartment unit Leaks, leaks, leaks. Our bedroom was situated under a balcony and a 30 year building was not designed with water in mind. Our bedroom ceiling leaked multiple times over the course of 4 years and management would just skim over it and paint instead of permanently fixing the issue. They decided to permanently fix the issue the week of our move out, how convenient. Note this involved all of our clothes getting doused as well as carpet in the bedroom which probably had mildew and mold under it. Luckily it wasn't a massive flood since we were home but it could've been much worse. Again, their solution was for us to use our renters insurance even though the landlord is responsible for drying in the apartment. Garage Leaks Several times my car had calcified water leaked onto it from the old, corroded Plumbing in the parking garage. Management would not pay for the detail needed to get it off my car. Their general answer to all issues caused by existing conditions is "use your renters insurance" Greedy, horrible owner company While the on site management were decent people (shout out to Doug and Lucia) they were yellow taped behind a greedy corporation who gave no shits for their tenants. My original rent was offered up at a good rate (during Covid) but by 4 years later, grew 15%. This was about 5-10% per year, despite being a good tenant, they don't care. This is to keep up with the obnoxiously priced apartments that are brand new on overland ave. Noise/general comfort This place was horribly noisy, I was on a 3rd floor with no one above me thinking that would be quiet. I was terribly wrong. Not only did I hear the cars whooshing by daily on overland which never ended, I had the most horrible neighbors who would blast radios and slam loud work out equipment anywhere from 2-6 am. In violation of the lease quiet hours, I filed at least 10 noise complaints and it still kept happening. There are also many large dogs in the complex confined to a small patio area so enjoy the all day barking. Even though management claims pets are not allowed (laughable) Pool/gym/bbq The amenities that are included appear lavish at first but you'll quickly realize it's not as nice as it seems. The bbqs were useless and wouldn't heat up. Certain tenants in the complex hog the pool and hot tub at all times, making it less desirable to go in.

After reading glowing reviews for Lisa and touring the property, I decided to sign a lease. So far so good, and Lisa has certainly lived up to the hype. She is a perfectionist and genuinely wants complete satisfaction from her residents, and knows everyone by name. She is also super quick to respond to any inquiries or emails, which is very refreshing given the amount of ghosting I've dealt with at past companies. The community is well maintained. There's a cleaning lady who comes multiple days per week. The buildings are older but you wouldn't know from the appearance. The gym is not huge but air conditioned and has essential equipment in working order. My building only has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers but they work great and you can pay through an app, I rarely have to wait for an available machine. The pool is nice with lots of seating. There are a couple sectioned off areas perfect for letting your dog run around. There is gated parking so your car feels secure, even though the area feels safe. Frank the maintenance guy is super nice and makes sure the jobs get finished. Very quiet building. All the neighbors seem very nice and respectful. My unit has some updated appliances and finishes. The top/3rd floor gets pretty hot, thankfully there is a window AC in both the living room and bedroom. They are not perfect, quite loud and usually about 7 degrees off from the set temperature, but they keep rooms cool in the dreadful SoCal summer. There are a TON of ants in the surrounding area, so you really need to be careful not to drop any crumbs, they will come crawling out of the woodworks. The rent is not cheap but more affordable than a lot of surrounding properties. One thing to be aware of is common utilities (water/trash/sewer) are an unsightly $125/month on top of rent, give or take. Overall I think I made the right choice going with Sepulveda West over my other options, and give props to the staff for making it a comfortable place to call home.

She responds promptly to requests and concerns and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure residents have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable place to live. The property itself is exceptionally clean, from the lobby and gym to the mail room and laundry facilities. The residents are respectful, and the building is surrounded by single-family homes, making it a pleasant area for walks, especially during sunrise and sunset. Additionally, the neighborhood experiences very little traffic and remains remarkably quiet, allowing me to sleep comfortably with the windows open. Overall, I was very impressed with my experience living here. Lisa's dedication and commitment to the community truly set this property apart. I love the high ceilings, the safe neighborhood, and endless free street parking. It's a quick walk to Ralph's, 99 cents store, Marshalls, and gas stations for late night high snack runs. I haven't experienced stolen packages and whenever I submit a request for a water filter change or sink clog issue, the maintenance workers are AMAZING and fix my issues so quick and efficiently. Literally had water pressure issues and whoever fixed it was a saint and it really impressed us so much. I spilled a matcha latte in front of my door while I rushed to work and it was all cleaned up when I got home! They're very quick on maintenance and keeping the apartment clean. Knocked one star off because there was a period when the fire alarms kept going off and I kept waking up thinking the world was ending.. but tbh every apartment experiences random fire alarms. Most concerning, I recently saw a "pay rent or quit" notice taped to someone's door in plain view for everyone to see. That felt incredibly insensitive and, quite frankly, may be illegal. Between the lack of professionalism, constant messaging that borders on harassment, and poor regard for resident privacy, I would not recommend renting here.

At the time, there was no leasing agent on-site--only Junior, the maintenance tech, and Luke, the complex manager, who was off the clock. Since no one else was available, Junior kindly offered to show us around. We toured three different units: one with a smaller square footage, a medium-sized unit, and a 1 bed 1 bath layout that with 2 of it combined would be identical to a 2-bed, 2-bath with two walk-in closets. The vibes were amazing--the units were beautiful, modern, and spacious. At the end of our tour, we mentioned to Luke that we preferred a unit with two walk-in closets. He assured us he would follow up if one became available. We also discussed potential rent increases. I was particularly concerned about hikes once we became tenants, as they're common with large corporate-managed properties like Eastway. Luke reassured us that rent increases were typically minimal (0-2% based on the benchmark rent, rarely 4% but is possible) and even mentioned that, due to the fires, current pricing on vacant units would remain unchanged. We left feeling excited and reassured, thinking we had found our future home. The next day, Luke emailed us, encouraging us to apply. We responded, asking if we could secure the specific unit we wanted. Silence. A week later, with no response from Luke, I checked the website myself. Not only had one of the units we toured disappeared from availability, but the smallest unit's price had jumped by $400. This was extremely disappointing--especially considering they raised prices during a state emergency. Everything we had been told during our tour turned out to be false, and to this day, we never received a response from the apartment manager.
