Previously, getting a reply from any staff member took at least two business days. And if you needed the general manager involved, you first had to explain why it was necessary, then wait through several escalations only to receive one response three to four weeks later. Meaningful communication was nearly impossible because by the time you replied back, you were already waiting another month - in total, taking two to three months just to resolve a single issue/question. Now everything is different in the best way. Jason, who effectively leads the property, replies within minutes. He is incredibly efficient and proactive. He truly looks into things and follows up. He is also extremely kind and treats residents with genuine respect and care. That friendliness and care extends to the rest of the team. Toria is a perfect example. When I was on the phone with her, she reminded me to get home safe and to remember to eat lunch. I remember calling a family member after that interaction to explain how night and day this new. team is. It was such a small moment but it showed how this team sees residents as real people instead of inconveniences. After years of feeling overlooked and quite honestly disrespected, it is refreshing and so appreciated to experience a team that truly cares. Now, challenges: all further communications must go through the Avalon app. Not much human interaction (to access the front desk, one has to get OUT of the complex and walk BACK towards the front entrance which is not always open). Maintenance is amazing and extremely responsive. If you want a hands off communication but quite efficient through impersonal means (apps) living, come join us !

We were told that although the specific apartment was not yet listed due to the renovations, to go ahead and apply so that we are ensured an apartment by the first week of May. We did all the things to secure his spot- paid for 3 credit checks (my son, his father, and his roommate), as well as submitted the $500 deposit to hold said unit. We were assured everything looked great and all that was left was signing the lease for that apartment. We checked back in mid-April to ask about signing the lease and Jessica again reassured us that as soon as the renovations were completed, she would have it for us. We expressed our concerns that the apartment may not be completed on time, as my son had an internship and summer courses starting the first week of June. She explained that there were some delays, but assured us AGAIN that everything would be fine and not to worry, because worse case scenario, they would just move him into another 2 bedroom unit. Early May comes around and we have to move him out of his dorm in a week. We call back AGAIN only to be given the run around. At this time, we informed Jessica that because she couldn't generate a lease and guarantee him a unit by move out, that we would need to secure a different place so that he wouldn't be left without a place to go. She agreed and apologized. She also told us verbally and via email that they would refund us the credit check fees as well as our deposit, since the promises made by her were not fulfilled and we were left scrambling to find another residence in a week. Fast forward a couple of months, LOTS of phone calls and emails later... we still did not have our refund check. After another call where I had to intervene on behalf of my son, we FINALLY received a check in the mail, but ONLY for the deposit amount of $500. Keep in mind, he is now taking 2 summer school engineering courses on top of working full time at a demanding internship. Frustrated and wanting to be done with the ordeal, he decided to just deposit the $500 refund check. Today, August 7th, we were notified by our bank that the check did not go through due to "STOPPED PAYMENT". I am beyond furious at the unprofessional treatment and false promises we constantly received from the leasing management at Reveal. The nightmare of obtaining our refund continues and I am now considering litigation in order to get our refund. FUTURE RESIDENTS BEWARE!

During the tour, they show you one apartment, but then move you into something completely different. We were given a unit with dark, old flooring covered in scratches and paint stains, damaged and scratched kitchen cabinet fronts, and a bathroom mirror that is worn and peeling around the entire perimeter. That was only the beginning. The garbage disposal is essentially decorative. It cannot be used, yet the sink constantly clogs even when nothing is put down the drain. For three months, we dealt with a serious insect problem throughout the apartment. It became so severe that we were forced to throw away food. During heavy rain, the parking area floods. Our car was nearly damaged by rising water, and if I had not randomly gone to check on it, it could have been seriously flooded. The final and most outrageous issue is the water overcharging. Over just three months, we were charged a total of $500 for water alone. In our previous apartment complex, our average water usage was 1,000-1,500 gallons per month, with a bill of approximately $30 per month. In this complex, we are being charged around $170 per month, allegedly for 7,000 gallons of water, which is completely unrealistic for our household and far beyond our historical usage. This clearly points to a systemic issue within the complex either there are ongoing water leaks, or incorrect meter readings are being submitted to the billing company. In either case, the leasing office has shown zero interest in investigating or resolving the issue and simply continues to pass these charges onto residents. This is, without question, the worst living experience we have ever had. A clean-looking exterior hides incompetence, neglect, and a complete disregard for residents!
