Everything went excellent. Number 1 reason why I will always use this ATV rental company. Been using for years, this time a new and important feature was added. They have Real-Time GPS location devices. So if you hit a rock and blow a tire or other equipment disabling issue, press a button and they show up. Any medical emergency, press the emergency button.. They know right where you are at. Remember, little cell coverage on the trail. I known it works because the device button got bumped... and Justin showed up... asked him how he found us, he explained the location services. Outstanding! We rented a 2 seater RZR and it was pretty fun. The ATV worked great and instructions/maps were good, and we had a good time for about 2 hours. However, they told us the 4 hour option (vs 3 hour) would be well worth it. Turns out there is only one trail (dirt road actually) to go on this time of year and even it wasn't plowed all the way. So we took our sweet time with the little amount of dirt road that was available, trying to kill time stopping everywhere we could, but after 2 hours there was nothing more to explore. We returned the ATV and asked if we could be charged for the 3 hour rate but was denied with "it is what it is". Please don't sell people on something that is not worth it. If it were later in the season with snow melted and multiple trails, this would be worth it, but it for sure was not worth it for us. read more

Totally disappointed in the vehicles they rent. The RZR we got was clearly not brand new like they claimed especially after I looked at the VIN tag and it was a 2021 not a 2023. The suspension was so worn out the front end did nothing but clang and band and squeak. For nearly $500/day I expected a lot more. read more

Where to begin? We rented Polaris RZRs from this company in 2021 & 2022. In the spring of 2021, we rented a 2-seater and had no problems. In fact, when we returned the RZR, the owner commented that the gas gauge was still showing full even though we spent over 6 hours driving it. I guess that should have been our first sign because when we rented two 4-seater RZRs for a full day in July of 2022, we were told to keep them in Low gear all day (something we were not told the first year), otherwise, we were "sure to throw a drive belt." So we did. We noticed throughout the day that one of the RZRs would randomly drop out of gear or we would have a difficult time getting it to go into Reverse or Low gears. We didn't think much of that until we were on our way back to the drop-off point and it stalled 1/4 mile away from the end of our trip. My husband happened to be driving it at the time with three passengers all under the age of 11. We called the owner and they were able to tow the RZR approx. 200 feet to where my husband was able to coast it the rest of the way to the drop-off point. The initial thought from the owner was that it was likely a drive belt, however, he called us later that evening and told us that it was actually the drive clutch and that he happened to have a spare in his garage and was only going to charge us $1400 for repairs. What?!? We were busy with a more pressing matter at that point because I was having an asthma attack and must have lost my inhaler somewhere on the trail. The next morning, we found a $2000 charge and a $600 credit from Altitude Adventures on our credit card. I immediately called my credit card company and filed a dispute, which was ultimately decided in our favor in Sept. 2022. In late November 2022, we received a summons for a small claims court dispute from Altitude (Romero & Clark LLC). After doing some research on drive clutches and what it takes for them to go out on a 2022 RZR, everything I found said that there was no way it could have been entirely our fault that it went out. On average, a stock drive clutch should last through 100s of hours of drive time and a minimum of 2500 miles even in some of the most extreme conditions. In the less than 7 hours we had possession of the machine, if the drive clutch had been in perfect working order, there is no way we could have blown it. I verified that with another RZR rental company who, in addition, told me that a drive clutch only runs around $400 and mechanical repairs are normally considered maintenance costs which should be figured into the rental price. He also informed us that it was likely they knew the drive clutch was going out and specifically told us to keep it in Low gear so that it would go out all that much more quickly. I filed a 3-page response and a 1-page counterclaim with the Court for lost wages, meals, research time, and travel costs that I would be out if I had to drive 6 hours to appear in court. We received a response from the Court that the regular judge would need to recuse himself due to a conflict of interest and a judge from another county would be hearing the case. Hmmm... In February of 2023, I received a letter from the Court saying that a Motion for Dismissal that Altitude had filed had been granted. It said that their company had mailed a copy of the Motion to me and I had failed to respond. Which is a load of you know what. Regardless, the Court had already granted the Motion and the claim was dismissed, including my counterclaim. In summary, I would avoid renting anything from this company like the plague. read more
