I have been going to altitude since they opened, averaging about twice a month. I agree with Cierra in that on August 14, 2014 Altitude's prices were outrageous, based on the price I was buying weed for ILLEGALLY on the street. Most likely unlike Cierra, however, I asked the staff why the prices were so high (no pun intended) the first time I went in. They were nice enough to inform me that because the store had recently opened and people in the area were just recently able to grow weed to sell for recreational use, the people selling weed to altitude could charge whatever they wanted because they had the monopoly, not altitude. I was a little doubtful that this wasn't a tactic to make the business appear better. However, today at altitude the bud is in a whole range of prices. While they do still have grams ( some of the best weed i have ever smoked) topping out around $35-40/gram, they have grams of weed that I would still consider cronic for $10-$20 a gram. To be honest, their edibles are still EXPENSIVE but if you figure someone is growing the weed, then spending their time baking it, then they sell it to altitude, who then has to still make a profit, im not surprised theyre so pricy. I stick with the bud that's $10-$20 a gram ( never disatisfied) and once in a while I splurge on the $40 gram which always blows me away. One thing I learned from shopping at altitude is its not uncommon for them to undervalue some of their weeds. They best weed I've gotten from altitude was $15/gram Blueberry Sodo, which not surprisingly sold out quickly. I highly recommend this shop and suggest the first few times you buy one gram of a couple different types of their cheaper weed. See which one works the best for you and go back and buy as much of it as you can before someone else does. Cierra is correct in that the staff was amazing. Theyre always in a better mood than I am and Im a pretty happy person (because I buy weed twice a month). Im heading there tommorrow to re up. read more

One word...AWESOME!!! Okay, I'll say more about how wonderful Altitude is. I am just so grateful that Washington State now has such an outstanding retailer of marijuana! Unfortunately, I recently moved to Florida, but when I come back to visit my folks here, I make a trip to Altitude. The staff there is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. They truly want to help you find the right product for your desired experience. I also love that the product is free of chemicals and pesticides. Because of this fact, I think the prices are appropriate. Altitude sells a variety of pipes and bongs as well. If you don't know how to use them, the staff is more than happy to educate you. If you are new to all of this, they won't make you feel stupid. The people who work here are so kind and friendly! I was very happy to stop here. On my way to go skiing on Friday night decided to go here. After my last experience at the West Richland place, i zipped by them and decided to try this place out. It was easy to find and convenient from the freeway to get to. It was busy, but not packed. Sales staff was cool in a helpful way. Informative, but no pressure or urgency to get me out the door. Bud tender let me look at several products which was very cool. She knew her stuff and helped me understand the difference in the specific vape flavoring issue. I am usually a bong guy but needed something more discreet this weekend. Ended up with a vape and a very cool globe for concentrates. Used the globe and some Dabstract concentrate Sunday night. Worked very well. Overall a great place. I will be going back. Prices were good and staff very helpful. read more

This is by far the worst recreational store in the whole state! When you first go into the store, you find yourself in an empty room. With lots of signs on the wall talking about illegal public consumption. I get a sense of unease when I walked to a window with no one there. Once you are inside you are greeted with smiles and are shown a book. I asked if I could feel what I was going to buy. They told me I was not allowed to feel,touch,smell or look at the product. Rather I could look at the selection in a glass case. This is not the case in most store in Washington. If this was not bad enough, if you do decide to make a selection (I did not) you are then herded to a third "back" room to finish up the "deal". This is the most shady store I have ever been to and would not recommend this as a store to go to for the first time. read more

I was involved in a car accident a few years ago that left my back and shoulders in immense pain, and in an attempt to avoid dangerous pain killers I decided to try the one thing everyone kept telling me to: Cannabis Fast forward to the day after I visited: I am doing much better, and the products really do help. My only complaint is that Altitude can not give medicinal advise, but that is okay because it's due to state law. Other than that, the service was very quick yet imformative, I wasn't rushed but it seemed like such a smooth process. I handed them my ID, $10, and walked out with a 1 gram pack of flower. This place is awesome! The staff greet you with a smile and a handshake, then help you find exactly what you are looking for, even if you aren't sure yet. When I came in to purchase some legal marijuana for the first time I was pretty impressed at how knowledgeable the staff were about cannabis. They coached me through the differences and uses of the different strains and we found one they recommended for me. It was an overall amazing experience and I also picked up a custom glass accessory on my way out, I've never seen glass prices that low! Definitely recommend you go in and visit them, even if it's just to learn about Cannabis! read more

I am so thankful to finally have a shop like Altitude in my town! Since July 8th 2014 ive been visiting Altitude weekly, and I love the selection of strains to choose from. Thats something you just couldnt do before it was legal, and Altitude definitely knows what theyre doing Prices were kinda bad when they first opened, but thats okay and expected because it was the first time in 60 years weed was legally sold at a store. Now its about $15 a gram, and the stuff is way better than when they first opened too. I like smoking, but the edibles are the way to go no doubt. 1 or two cookies and im done. I have been smoking pot for years. I was a little nervous about going into the store at first but as soon as I stepped inside my anxiety went away. I was so excited when it became legal because it opened up a lot of different ways to enjoy cannabis. I've tried the edibles, concentrates and even the drinks! They are super friendly and the store looks really professional. I like that I am getting a tested product and know exactly what I am purchasing. In short, I highly recommend Altitude. After two bad experiences with recreational marijuana stores I was almost ready to just get a UV light, a medical card and start growing my own. My buddy frequents this place so last weekend I decided to join him. First thing I noticed was the staff was polite. The store was spotless and the store was well lit and welcoming. The Budtender who helped me was knowledgeable and asked a lot of questions. I actually learned a lot. He recommended am edible that literally blew my mind. So i went to altitude again this week and i found out that the price of bud had gone up , but come to finded out its all because of all the testing they have to do to it and because is all has to be pesticides,herbicides and fungicides free .and most of if not all it is Organic .so that gave me a pace of mind right there .because buying bud on the street you don't know what you get and what went in.so for me know that is safe to smoke is good i don't wanna go to the hospital because of poisoned bud .so ill pay that high price for best of the best bud,thanks again altitude !! read more

I've been to this location 5 times since it's opened. I live half an hour away and usually call to make sure they have what I'm looking for and ask about any deals. 3 of those times I get to the store to be told something different than what I was told in the store. This last time they had a 15 year old kid tell me they couldn't give me their Thursday discount even though I had called before hand and asked. I walked out pissed off and will never recommend them to anyone with that kind of crap service. read more

I love this store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Even if you don't know much about cannabis, they will still help you find something that fits your preferences. There is a wide selection, and they have a display case so you can see the product before purchase. Altitude was a great place to get weed in Prosser. BUT NOT NOW ! they have very little bud and it is over priced $ 200.00 for a OZ that crazy the same with the Bake shop Both are over priced . Go to the Green 2 go or Yakima they have more product better prices I just got a OZ of some great bud for $ 92.00 that is a good reason for me to drive to them to save $108.00 ! read more
