We had one student (a very small one) who was allowed to go the first time he went, denied the second time, and allowed the third time. Different workers were there each time and eligibility to go on the wall is supposed to be based on weight. The workers at the wall were not very helpful to the kids with getting their harnesses on, nor did they monitor the kids as they climbed, leading to two kids getting tangled as they came down. There were other instances of workers not setting timers for rides like the boats and bounce house, even though there were long rides for both. Overall the kids loved it, rides were age-appropriate and lines went quickly.

Because it's so massive and not designed for adults to crawl through tunnels or go down tight, enclosed slides, it's nearly impossible to keep eyes on your child at all times. That part felt really unsettling. It quickly turns into pure chaos, fun for kids, but stressful for parents trying to keep track. I really wish they had some sort of safety system in place, like matching wristbands or a check in and check out process to ensure children leave with the correct adult. Even places like Chuck E. Cheese have basic precautions to prevent situations like a child leaving with the wrong person. I hate to sound overly cautious, but the reality is the world is not perfect, and when you have that many people in one space, safety measures matter. It literally costs $75 for just two kids to play here for over an hour and with two parents supervising. We'd love to come every other weekend but we can't affford that and probably neither can most families. Make the price more reasonable to allow for more frequent visits. Otherwise we will stick to other more reasonable play places.

There are 25 rooms and are a perfect mixture of puzzle rooms and more physically active game rooms. We chose the 120 minute package which allowed us enough time to go through every single room at least once and some rooms multiple times. There are lockers once you get inside which are easy to use. Facility was a good temperature but I would recommend wearing lighter layers as the more active game rooms will get your temperature up and it's harder to cool off from them. The number two things that stands out about time mission is how clean the facility is and how courteous and helpful everyone is. All the employees were making sure that we were taken care of and were very helpful with ensuring we were having a good time and asked if we had any questions. We would 1000% come back again, that was so much fun. Only note though, be careful in the first room on your left. The room is timed like many other rooms but there is a wooden staircase/platform to stand on when dropping the ball into the obstacle course and to complete the course you do have to go up and down the wooden staircase a few times to try to complete the room. Unfortunately after trying to complete this room a few times, I walked backwards off one of the stairs and fell off the staircase onto the remainder of the wooden obstacle course, bruising my butt and back. He ended up getting like 4-5k tickets in all. Enough to get a couple decent prizes. On top of that, several visits from the mouse. We ended up paying like $300 something for 14 kids. I'll organize my review in Good, Bad and Ugly categories: Good: - The Pizza was exceptional; I forgot how good CEC pizza actually is. We ordered 6 pizzas and everyone in our group said they were happy with the food. - The timed play cards were nice. I'm used to other arcades limiting the games you can play with timed cards to those that don't give tickets. I'm glad that all games are included with the timed cards. Ticket values seemed low (grand prize for most games was 40-50 tickets), but still a nice feature. Also miss the paper tickets from the 90s. There was something amazing about carrying those huge piles of tickets to the ticket eater to cash them in. Bad: - They were clearly understaffed the night we went. One person seemed to be working check in and the kitchen/prize counter. (I also noticed that the guy working the playground disappeared when Chuck E came out for the birthday - Ha!) - They didn't have "someone certified to serve Beer/Wine" the night we were there so the adults in our group that wanted a drink were denied. - Ice machine had no ice and the drink cups might have been 8 ounces (they were so small for like $5 for a soda). Had to go to the front counter multiple times to get water cups for the 12 person group. Just put them out by the machine! Ugly: - Oh my God was the sound terrible. I'm not talking about screaming kids, but the audio for the "Birthday" celebration. Harsh, miserable, loud audio throughout the entire restaurant. - The ridiculous little playground / trampoline contraption is an additional charge (I seem to remember the playground being free when I was a kid), and they do this knowing the kids will throw a fit if they don't get to go on it. Even if I had paid, they wouldn't have let me go on it with my 2 year old to make sure she didn't fall or get stuck. This was a huge miss. - The pizzas were astronomically expensive. Over the past few years, especially since the newer staff has taken over, there has been a noticeable improvement in how the facility operates. Everything is organized, communication is clear, and the scheduling process runs smoothly. You can really tell there's structure, accountability, and pride in how the center is managed. We've used both sides of the facility -- the basketball courts and the turf fields -- and have had positive experiences on each. The basketball side is well maintained, clean, and set up efficiently for games and training. The turf side has also been excellent for our programming, giving athletes a quality surface to train and compete on. Having access to both types of spaces under one roof makes it extremely convenient for organizations like ours. The remodeling has also made a big impact. The updates give the center a fresh, modern feel, and the improvements create a better environment for players, coaches, and families. The facility feels more welcoming and professionally run than ever before. We truly appreciate having a reliable, well-managed space to host our program and look forward to continuing our partnership with Schaumburg Sports Center for years to come.

My older son was very excited when he saw some clips about this place and we decided to pay a visit. We came on a Saturday. There were many kids, with a wide range of ages, on the giant jungle gym, the large bullpen with an interactive screen, and the young toddler area. Check-in involved with waiver-signing and socks purchasing for first timers. I believe a pair of socks cost $3.50 and each child's admission was $18.50 (as of 02/14/26). There yellow-bee socks seemed to have a good grip on the bottom, but we will see how they would hold up after a few washes. My kids were a little hesitant to get on the big boss jungle gym first, so they started playing at the toddler area to condition themselves. Eventually they released their inhibition and were climbing all levels numerous times. My 2.5 year-old, small-statured younger son went on the suspended bridge repeatedly until he overcame his fear, so it was impressive to see his progress when facing challenges. For parental supervision, for the most part, parents would be able to watch their kids while sitting down at the perimeters. I spent majority of time chasing my two boys while slightly bend down at the jungle gym the entire time. Adults were able to get on them and they seemed sturdy, yet for tall individuals there would be no way to stand straight inside this if you were to constantly go after the kid(s). Everyone in my family enjoyed "Kids Play Hive," but one star was deducted because the lack of boundaries on protecting the little ones who also wanted the opportunities to play. There was a group of older boys and everyone was very energetic and running fast throughout the venue. When they got to the young toddler zone, they took up space reserved for the little crawlers and walkers. While it didn't significantly impact my experience, but that would be something for the management to think about for crowd-control purposes. There was also a birthday celebration going on and the invited guests got to use the party room. Overall, "Kids Play Hive," in my opinion, is a well-designed indoor playground with convenient parking. We don't live awfully far away and will definitely come back in the future. The snacks and beverages they sell also are priced reasonably. Guests are allowed bring their food and there is a designated dining area.

Granted, it hasn't been around very long, but just looking at the quality material and the ruggedness of the Velcro-connected joints and transitions, this place is going to look clean and maintained for a while. What's different about this place is that it's one large, connected inflatable land! There's slides, obstacle courses, and a lot of other fun and surprising areas to climb and jump on. I'm not good with estimates, but it's maybe 2000-2500 sq ft of inflated land. You should note that though that May seem large. I think 90 minutes is plenty of time to have your child get a good run of the place. Go for 2 hours to squeeze a little extra time to get the wiggles out. I'd say the best ages for this place are around 4-10 years old. 10 might be pushing it, but I guess it depends on how many friends are around. Last thing I'll add is that you have to use their socks... which are roughly $4-$5 a pair, so make sure you hang on to those.
