Amazing service at the Arlington Heights location for hosting a birthday party! We hosted our son's birthday here and we're extremely impressed. Given a dedicated host who was extremely friendly and engaging with the kids. The place was really clean. For a Sunday afternoon, not overly crowded. A different place from what I remember as a kid. The pizza was decent. 5-6 year old kids seemed to like the games. Lots of ticket winner type games. Not many arcade games. Our son got to do a ticket grab air blower thing. He ended up getting like 4-5k tickets in all. Enough to get a couple decent prizes. On top of that, several visits from the mouse. We ended up paying like $300 something for 14 kids. Took my daughter and her cousin with our families to this Chuck E Cheese yesterday to celebrate my daughter's 2nd birthday! This location is huge, and I haven't been to a Chuck E Cheese since probably grade school or middle school. I was very disappointed to learn that the animatronic band is a foregone artifact of the 90s and 2000s and it was replaced with a giant LED wall. No one in our group tried the salad bar, so can't comment on that. I'll organize my review in Good, Bad and Ugly categories: Good: - The Pizza was exceptional; I forgot how good CEC pizza actually is. We ordered 6 pizzas and everyone in our group said they were happy with the food. - The timed play cards were nice. I'm used to other arcades limiting the games you can play with timed cards to those that don't give tickets. I'm glad that all games are included with the timed cards. Ticket values seemed low (grand prize for most games was 40-50 tickets), but still a nice feature. Also miss the paper tickets from the 90s. There was something amazing about carrying those huge piles of tickets to the ticket eater to cash them in. Bad: - They were clearly understaffed the night we went. One person seemed to be working check in and the kitchen/prize counter. (I also noticed that the guy working the playground disappeared when Chuck E came out for the birthday - Ha!) - They didn't have "someone certified to serve Beer/Wine" the night we were there so the adults in our group that wanted a drink were denied. - Ice machine had no ice and the drink cups might have been 8 ounces (they were so small for like $5 for a soda). Had to go to the front counter multiple times to get water cups for the 12 person group. Just put them out by the machine! Ugly: - Oh my God was the sound terrible. I'm not talking about screaming kids, but the audio for the "Birthday" celebration. Harsh, miserable, loud audio throughout the entire restaurant. - The ridiculous little playground / trampoline contraption is an additional charge (I seem to remember the playground being free when I was a kid), and they do this knowing the kids will throw a fit if they don't get to go on it. Even if I had paid, they wouldn't have let me go on it with my 2 year old to make sure she didn't fall or get stuck. This was a huge miss. - The pizzas were astronomically expensive. I want to say the 6 pizzas were $160. That's criminally insane. I don't know if we'll be back. The kids had fun, but the experience somehow seems even more nickle-and-dimey then I remember from back when I was a kid. read more

My brother is in town and my son wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese. We took him to the Arlington Heights location. I was surprised at the size of this location and the amount of games they packed in it. I thought the games were aimed at younger kids. Definitely the 10 and under crowd. Not too many rides or jumping areas. When you walk you in buy a length of time and your food options. We got a sausage and pepperoni pizza and four individual drinks. I was surprised at how good the pizza is. I liked how the game cards come on reloadable cards that come on an elastic wrist band. Chuck E. Cheese himself was out quite a bit even for those of us who were not with a birthday party. I liked the location size; not too big and you could basically see your child. I felt like the location was very safe. Overall, I was more impressed than I expected to be. I would take my son back again. read more

It is what it is, you know? Very expensive for what it is, definitely a cash grab. Ambiance is very loud; if you have kiddos with sensory needs headphones are a must. It would be helpful if Chuck E. Cheese, as a brand, would invest in quiet areas for sensory needs, breaks, and a nursing station for parents. The service was happy and helpful. I saw employees cleaning the entire time and everything was as clean as expected considering children with sticky hands are running everywhere. Pizza was not bad. Salad bar was mediocre. read more

I should have listened to the reviews on line. Very disappointing experience on Sunday 8/24/25. When you call the telephone number it states "Whete admission is always free" which to me implies you get in for free and there are some things you can actually do for free. Adventureland $15 lets kids jump in a tiny trampoline area and use another area like a little obstacle course. Neither of which held our 4 year grandson's interest for very long. Then you can pay either by the minute or by the points to play games earning prize tickets. You go up to the counter and buy a pass card which had a price of $20. When you pay the total becomes $27. $20 for the 30 points, surprise charges of $5 for new card and $2 for wrist band to keep your card attached to your wrist. This seems very deceitful. You can't argue with the counter help because they are just kids. This experience was less than satisfactory and ensures that we will never go back there. Bad costumer Service people are not nice and they are so busy that they don't take care of your needs and if you ask for help they half fast it and not do it the actual way so I do not recommend going there if you have little ones or if your not in a dood mood "which concerned customers postulated that staff at the family-friendly chain were recycling pizza slices that get left behind on the table after customers finish eating. I can't believe I am saying this but I actually like this Chuck E Cheese. I have been to many different locations all over the US and by far this is the best one. This one is located right off of Rand rd in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. What I really enjoyed was the security precautions they take here. When you walk in they stamp your child's hand and your hand with the same number and it's invisible ink that can only be seen with a black light. This put me at easy when I brought her here for a birthday party because there are so many kids and tons of adults it can be overwhelming. And don't worry your child can't just walk out without you because to get out they make sure you both have the same stamp. The staff is very attentive here and the place is very clean. The machines are in good working order and when something breaks down they are on top of it. Other things I enjoy are that they serve beer and wine so the adults can take the edge off of all the chaos lol. They have a bunch of food options at great prices and you can just let your kids run free with their friends while the mommies have a play date as well hahahaha. read more

I took my grandson there & we had a blast! They simplified when u win so it goes on a card instead of gathering tickets & trying to not lose them while you play. Walked inside with my kids and no one was at the counter to stamp us. Stood their for 10 minutes. Only saw 2 employees. One was at the food counter with a line the other was at the ticket/prize counter with a line. Neither acknowledged us or called for someone. You'd think having someone at the door would be the most important position see how literally anyone could walk right out at any moment. After 10 minutes we just left. We threw a last minute and very laid back birthday party for my 5 year old today. It was our family of 6 and two of my daughters friends and we had a blast. We were greeted when we walked in and the same guy helped us pick a package- very helpful bc we didn't know what we wanted. It was great- right amount of pizza and drinks and it came with a large cookie. She even got free ice cream for her bday! I was even surprised at how many points we accumulated at the end and my kids got to pick out really nice prizes. Everyone was super friendly and the place was super clean. We just celebrated my sons 4th birthday here. I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't crazy about the idea- it seems so expensive and a headache waiting to happen, but this was what he wanted so we did it AND AM I GLAD WE DID!!! We kept the invite list small to family only but big or small, there was no going wrong because all the kids (and adults) had a blast! Vivian was our party host and she was perfect! She communicated well with me throughout our party and kept things moving along without making it abrupt to the kids. The food was actually really good we had pizza and party platters and it was enough for all our guests with barely any leftovers! They let us bring in our own cupcakes and ice cream which was awesome!!! Whoever that Chuck E. Cheese performer was -was GREAT! Chuck E really put on a performance for the kids. I have never seen my son so happy! He gave the birthday boy some special attention and took time- even though there were 2 other parties at the same time and other kids in the restaurant. My son got to go in the ticket blaster with a friend and that just about made his year! Vivian slipped him a 500 ticket voucher at the end which got a very grateful reaction. the price was good too- we spent less than we would have at a party we'd have at home with 90% less stress! Overall- I recommend this location for a family fun night out or a birthday party. It's very clean and all the employees are pleasant and passionate about making each child's interaction a kind and happy memory. One pause per card when I just spent $47 more on top of what I already spent to add more time and bought a pizza then you tell me I can't pause my card again. So when my pizza arrived I watched my 4 year old niece eat her pizza and then when she finished could not play anymore games because our time ran out. They did not tell me I only had 1 pause a card per visit. Last time I came it was three pauses. Wish they would have informed me off that when I spent the money to add more time and eat here! Wow. Chuck e cheese is a place that is for kids but it's not all fun and games some employes scream at the children adults fight if a table that a birthday party is there's people go into fight and most of the arcades are rigid and steal credits. some people lose their cards it expensive. and the pizza isn't even that good and it says we beat pizza hut and i said i would rather go to the where there was a pizza hut across the street their pizza is actual good quality. the pizza was not even 2 inches long and they already saying that there pizza is better than pizza hut.the service was another story when the parents watch the children the employes don't do nothing and when the parents are not it's a whole new story.i would rather go to any other place that sells pizza and arcade games. read more

Not as fun as i remembered as a kid. Even though nickel city is run down and dingy it definitely provides a lot more value. Chuck E Cheese is unfortunately too expensive for the value. For real fun i would rather do Dave and Busters and cheap fun Nickel City is a value treat. 20 bucks for 4 bags of nickels is ALOT of coins. I had my daughter's birthday party here. I haven't been at a Chuck E Cheese's in twenty years. This was refreshing. Gone are the creepy animatronics, weird layouts, and germ-filled ball pit. Instead, the room is one large open space, with a ton of arcade games and a stage where a costumed Chuck E comes out to lead dances, rain tickets onto kids and take pictures. When we arrived, we had our own personal party host that helped keep things running smoothly. Linda, my party host, was really great. She made sure to explain exactly what to expect and the timing of events, and also looked out to make sure my daughter was back at the party table whenever Chuck E would be around throwing out extra tickets. She kept everything organized and also gave me good tips and pointers, such as to keep my eye on our little cups of tokens, since kids from other parties can sometimes help themselves to other people's token cups. They had some nice additional options for the party - I ordered the fresh veggie platter. The pizza was tasty, the kids all seemed to love it. All the arcade games were in working order. The location was well lit, clean and easy to navigate. I compared prices with many other local options, and this was the cheapest option by far, which really surprised me!
