I've noticed that two kinds of places get a combination of five and one star reviews resulting in my preference for the three star average. The other kind of place is the Asian restaurant category. Some diners want American English and American wait service and rate low, while others are looking for good authentic ethnic specific cuisine with culturally specific appropriate customary service and rate high resulting in the best place for me having a three star average. Marijuana dispensaries are like this, the Goldilocks three star average comes from lots of disgruntled stoners being upset for the sorts of reasons stoners get upset about, and anyone who has spent too much time with stoners like my brother or with my brother himself, will readily identify. My brother recently got mad at me for texting him while he was busy being stoned. At the same dispensaries some more casual users give five star reviews because they get such a thrill out of the occasional ganja high that the appreciate the opportunity and the combined result is the attractive three star average. Yes, I could have just said, "quick and friendly service" but Emily already wrote that, and the service was indeed friendly (even security) but it wasn't quick because one of those stoned problem children was in front of me in line at every cashier position. By the way, for those of you who are new to this, 15% is a fair tip. Fifteen percent plus the store profit margin is still less than pre-legalization dealer markup for this level of quality. read more

i actually can't think of a single good thing about this location. staff is lazy and rude, always have an attitude. clearly high but not in the normal way, more in the incompetent way. so glad i never signed up for rewards bc i will never ever ever go back. i'd rather quit smoking cashier literally broke my product by slamming it on the counter yet i have to go through the email process to get my money back. i advise to go to ANY other dispensary :) read more

Drove an hour and I get home I find my product is empty! I understand mistakes happen it's all about how you make up for them. The woman I spoke to said it was "suspicious" mine were empty. And would replace it in a way I should be grateful. I told her that's 4 hours of gas and offered a preroll as if I didn't waste my time and over a hundred dollars. As a medical patient, I am completely upset that they are not a medical facility. Their 30% discount does help, but Illinois' 31.5% tax vs. a medical facility that charges 0% tax and still gives any discount is way better. Complaint. I am a medical cardholder and have never ever had any issues at altius. Today I went in because I had a full gram cart that I had for two days. It cracked falling onto my counter like 3 inches. I've also never broke one, like ever. I just started purchasing full grams, and I let the supervisor, Jade, know. She said she couldn't help. She said because she won't get her money back, she couldn't help me. The budtenders taking great care of me told me they were told not to say the names of their supervisors when I asked what the rude woman's name was. Both budtenders pretended that they didn't know their supervisors names and one finally said it was because the supervisors have advised them not to say their names. Even the budtenders apologized to me for the way I was spoken to by Jade, the rude supervisor. The woman Jade was very condescending and spoke to me like I was stupid telling me that it's glass and glass is breakable like I was in kindergarten. Really poor service and puts a really bad taste in the mouth on recommending this dispensary to other medical card holders. read more
