I dont even know what all my medical issues entail but when my Dr. prescribed two medications for atrial fibrillation that amounted to 1400.00 a month I knew I could not afford it. After spending months trying to transfer my medications from my original pharmacy to another across town, and each pharmacy telling me the other needed to do it, Alto took my information and began the process of transferring my medications to them. I want to give 5 stars because so far Alto has been amazing with my wife IVF medications -- their service, support, and delivery have all been excellent. But today she came in person and was surprised that there's no bathroom available for customers. Considering that most of the costumers are women going through fertility treatments, waiting without access to a restroom is really uncomfortable. I hope this is something Alto can improve, because otherwise everything else has been wonderful. read more

I am on Medicaid with no income right now. My Nurse Practitioner changed my pharmacy to ALTO about a year ago without my consent. Deliveries were fine for most of the past year. Then, my auto refills kept getting screwed up. Some canceled and some not refilled. Last week I went to the ER and tested for COVID. The ER Docs sent an RX to ALTO. I went home and waited for ALTO to text me when the RX would be delivered. ALTO texted me saying I had to have a credit card on file for the "$10.00 SAME DAY DELIVERY CHARGE" fee. This was something new and never disclosed. I now HATE ALTO and am switching back to my locally owned pharmacy, VESPER PHARMACY on Eastern at Flamingo. I can talk to a real person and they have fast, free delivery. read more

Alto is the preferred pharmacy with my insurance, so I have been using them for about a year now. The free delivery is really convenient and it's cute that they include a caramel with each order. I've had to call in a couple of times about prescriptions that somehow couldn't be sent by doctors, not sure what the hold up was but staff were really friendly and went the extra mile to help resolve the issue - Sunshine specifically is really great. That said, I have issues here: 1. I'm a medical customer and have been for over a year. Why is my name consistently misspelled on my pill bottles? If that kind of mistake can get made, I worry about others. 2. Whenever I get a text alert about needing a refill or to schedule a delivery, the message includes a link that takes me to the Play store to download their app. I am not interested in taking up space on my phone for an app I should need to use quarterly at most. Very frustrating, because I then have to go to a desktop site to get to the right page when you could just provide a link to the webpage that would be much more user-friendly. read more

One hour hold times are frequent. App. Changes delivery times and wants to charge tips if you are not careful. Make sure to check it if you have multiple deliveries! (sometimes the app forces multiple deliveries and charges a tip for each one). I just set the first delivery to give a tip. Sucks for the other drivers but the company should do a better job at this. Don't use this pharmacy for important stuff, they are not very reliable. read more

This has been an absolutely awful pharmacy to deal with. Every month, as my delivery date approaches, I am filled with dread as I know that something will get messed up, causing me to miss my medication and inconvenience me greatly. I've had this pharmacy foisted on me for eight months now and every single month there has been drama and challenges. Some months they get the copay wrong and try and charge me an extra 600 dollars. This has only happened a few times though. Mostly the issues are with the delivery service. They will change the delivery date and time without informing you. You have to continually check the app to see if they have changed things. Then, you can try messaging; however, you won't get far with that. Thus, you have to call, which is a multi-hour process. My advice, use a different pharmacy if you can. read more

I've been using Alto since March 2020!! Never had any issues. Love that any doctor I use can access them easily and I can typically have my Rx delivered on the same day. All couriers I've interacted with have been very nice. Customer service, I've only used the chat or message option, but that's been great. Alto makes everything so much easier!!! UPDATE. Now Alto really screwed up. I thought they were improving. My pain meds were packaged Monday night. I was charged. Well tonight the delivery was 6 to 9. I was stop 13 or 14. Then tracking went down. I called 2x. NO SUPERVISOR HAS CALLED ME BACK. BEWARE!!! UPDATE! 01/06/2022 I'll say it again, BEWARE!!!! Well, they didn't even make it 3 days after their customer service called me just a few days ago, apologizing and promising things would be smooth this month. This time, it starts with an issue on my end. The day before last, my insurance was a mess. Which was eventually fixed on my end. On ALTO's end, they couldn't get it together at all! After I repeatedly messaged them that my insurance was fixed, and asked them to please CALL the insurance because the online portal was a mess, they still didn't call to see that my insurance was fixed. They just kept trying to charge me outrageous prices, or kept telling me my insurance wasn't active!!! After hours of nonsense, this morning, it still wasn't fixed on ALTO's end! The prices kept going up and down, up and down. Then it showed I had no coverage and then my coverage showed up again! My Dr sends in 2 more RX's yesterday afternoon, I knew better than to trust ALTO, and called them to make sure that there wasn't going to be an "out of stock" issue like last month and other previous months. Of course, they said they supposedly ordered all of them. Yet, they refused to confirm whether or not they can guarantee my delivery would be ON TIME. I decided to go to the local office this afternoon to see what was going on. This is what a pharmacist tech told me, who came outside to talk to us. (Yes, I said they came outside. Their pharmacy is VERY impersonal. You're not allowed to go inside, and you're just left to wander around out front in the parking lot?!) At any rate, the pharmacist claimed that the MAIN Pharmacist, who apparently is the only one they have that can approve all certain medications, was somehow "PROMOTED" AND the pharmacy tech recieved a phone call just this morning from this supposed promoted licensed pharmacist, who tells the pharmacy tech that he/she wasn't going to be able to do any more approvals for ANY prescriptions...because he/she was promoted?!?!? Yet there was NO ONE ELSE to take his/her place???? What kind of sense does that make? Is this a joke??? No one was hired to take their place?!?! Then, this pharmacy tech tells me that they MIGHT be able to use one other licensed pharmacist, but unfortunately this person was "off site?" What?!?!?! How can they run a pharmacy without a licensed pharmacist ON SITE, to approve the scripts?!?!?! AND, why didn't the management have a licensed pharmacist to take this supposed "promoted" licensed pharmacists' place?!?!?! This is outrageously IRRESPONSIBLE! So, after hearing all this nonsense in disbelief, I left and called ALTO customer service rep on the phone. The ALTO Rep even commented and asked how they are even running their pharmacy without a licensed pharmacist to approve the medications! What does that say, when their own rep is in disbelief?! And then, after I speak to her, suddenly I get another message on the ALTO app saying that the reason why my scripts are so high in price, is because they're not in network for me?!?!?! What?!?! Yes they are! I called my pharmacy administrators immediately and they confirmed that ALTO was indeed "in network" and they didn't know why ALTO was saying they were not in network. I called ALTO back & talked to an awesome Rep, Mr Horne, who could see how the person may have mistook one of my medications as being out of network for how it was written or something to that fact. So after all this mess with ALTO, I said "Enough is ENOUGH," and made a very healthy decision to make arrangements with my Dr's to move my scripts to a local grocers' pharmacy, whom I know for a fact is 100% reliable!! I first started using Alto 2 years ago since they are the provider for our insurance. I was really impressed right away. Communication by text is great, and they even answer! Free and timely delivery. Lately they have gotten even better. They coordinated my prescriptions, gave me partial fills to sync them up and now will deliver 90 days worth of prescriptions at once. I understand this saves them money, but it also is better for traffic, environmentally and easier for me. It takes work on their part and was their initiation, so I appreciate the effort. I was happy with my previous pharmacy, but now getting my prescriptions is off my to do list and that's great! read more

Just a personal preference on my part to not be forced into delivery model that traps me for 3 solid hours of waiting, month after month. I suppose I could drive the 30 minutes down and 30 minutes back to pick up, but then it's expensive gas to get there and still an hour of my travel time. In truth, I'd like to pick up my scripts at ANY close-by pharmacy without resulting in being charged inflated penalty payment to already profit-bloated insurance industry. Short of having freedom of choice, I preferred mail-order, placed safely in my locked box vs (if the driver can find my unit in the complex) left on my front door, in the BLAZING heat for several hours. I discovered Alto Pharmacy through one of my jobs in the medical field. After learning how easy and there is an app to help me manage my FREE delivery I was sold. Chris and everyone at Alto are super friendly and any time I have a question I can simply message them. Even after losing my insurance, they continue to have some of the lowest prices on my medications. I was able to transfer my medication without any problems, schedule my delivery when I wanted and was surprised by the ease of the entire process from start to finish. read more

This pharmacy rocks. I seriously feel like I was abused by my other pharmacies in the past, they treat me so well. They take electronic prescriptions so I don't need to drop a script off, they deliver so I don't even have to leave the house when I'm feeling sick and miserable, and they even give me a 3 hour window within which to expect my prescription. They even put a candy in with the medicine just because its a nice thing to do. But I think the best thing about Alto Pharmacy is that the did not give the lady who 1 starred them ivermectin. Edit: Alto keeps charging my insurance company and using my scripts, but has not delivered in two months. After putting another of my prescriptions through, it'll now be 3 months of a delay! I hope the other customers enjoyed the shipment they got :) That was the last opportunity I had for my insurance to receive my medication. Ugh. At first Alto was fine for delivering my medication on time, but recently has become unprofessional and hopeless. I was supposed to receive my medication on 10/27 and got a delayed notice for 11/25. I called to see why and they said my medications shipment was delayed until then. I wait. Come 11/25 my medication is delayed until 11/28 (today). On 11/28 I get a notification that it is now delayed until DECEMBER 16!!!! What this tells me is that they filled other people's prescriptions and then now have another back order on my medication. It's so unprofessional to leave people WAITING 2 MONTHS for their meds. I've never experienced this with any other pharmacy in my life. Don't even bother with Alto unless you're ordering aspirin. read more

I have had some issues with Alto and their pharmacy telling me that they will be sending my prescription to a standard pharmacy because they were out of a medication that they wouldn't get until the next day. So I said I will do that. Alto took forever to send it over to CVS and I didn't get my prescription that evening. I then call the next day to find out about the prescription and CVS still didn't have it. Needless to say, both pharmacies dropped the ball and I was still out the medication until 8pm that second evening. I had to speak to a supervisor named Queen who finally got things sorted after 3 CSRs kept telling me to wait over those 2 days and didn't help solve my problem and never followed up even though they said they would. Now tonight, I have very specific drop off instructions for my medication. The driver did not read those instructions and delivered to my front door which I feel is an issue especially in a time of Covid-19 where most delivery services have specific guidelines for leaving deliveries. He waited at the door and knocked until I answered. I get it, normally that would constitute good customer service, but when you have specific instructions on where to leave it and the driver doesn't read or follow that instructions, that means that they are doing the opposite of what is being asked of them and is not good customer service. I have someone in this household with a compromised immune system and having that courier needing to deliver to a person when I clearly signed the waiver and left instructions was irresponsible for them to do. read more

After about a year with Alto: Alto frequently doesn't deliver the medications ( I don't know if this is lack of couriers or medications or both) scheduled and confirmed to deliver. Alto just automatically reschedules deliveries. That is great if you see a homebody or someone who wants your routinely having to revolve around being there . If there is a question about you prescription, they will just cancel and leave you aeassage in the APP.not even a courtesy call. So, unlike at a brick and mortar pharmacy where you would speak with the pharmacist and know there was a question,with Alto you assume all is well and it is not. If you had a weekend delivery scheduled for 10 am and they move it ; theu just assume you will be there on a Monday same time. You are also left without your meds. You can ot reach someone to speak with, because we'll it is all so automated and "convenient " Forget getting your RX Transferred when traveling. Huge hassle. If you can avoid using Alto, I would. Unfortunately. My insurance doesn't have me at of choices. read more

They are always out of medications. It is always a struggle to get your prescriptions filled here. They are constantly rescheduling your medications and half of the time I'm sitting at home, waiting for my prescriptions and no one shows up. Then I learned that they've rescheduled the delivery. I finally had enough, and decided to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy. They now told me that they can't transfer hydroxyzine (antihistamine) because it's a controlled substance. It is not a controlled substance. Obviously they have no idea what they're doing. Take your prescriptions anywhere else but here. read more

I started using Alto a few months ago because I just didn't like the way I was being treated at my current pharmacy. Their people started to become unfriendly and this was well before the pandemic began. Alto is quick at responding to messages. Usually I can get my supplies the next day. From the beginning, It took a while to get my diabetes supplies (omnipod and dexcom) with alto but with a doctor's letter of necessity, and many emails later alto now is the preferred provider. They only negative to alto is they do not ship out of state to more than a few states. We are traveling this summer and made it very difficult to get my supplies. Even trying to transfer a few prescriptions to CVS, the cost was three times of alto. My diabetes supplies couldn't be transferred. So, I had friends get the package in our state then mail them to me. Thank goodness for friends. Shipment was expensive and not very convenient. On a positive note, one of my shipments came with a yummy caramel treat! It was a nice surprise! read more

After dealing with big box retail pharmacies that always lose my rx that is on auto fill, having to make multiple calls and trips to try to get my prescriptions etc, I gave up. This was my first delivery. I scheduled Sunday for a Tuesday delivery. Delivery arrived within the allotted window, he was friendly. I used alto for the first time, insurance didn't process at one of my drug stores however my endocrinologist referred me to Alto which finds the lowest price (cash) if insurance doesn't cover. My insurance is covering my medication through alto and a courier delivered same day. Great customer service. I'm very impressed and will be transferring my other prescriptions. read more
