I wanted something different for dinner and this place has been on my list to visit for a while…read more There were plenty of parking spaces to choose from. When we went inside, there was only one other party there and no music, so just whispers and the sounds of utensils against plates. There are about 4-5 booths and 1-2 regular tables to choose from. Since l am not familiar with Sichuan cuisine, I had Al help me choose my dishes. I went with the dumplings in chili sauce, fried rice, eggplant in garlic sauce, and chongquin chicken. While we waited, we were given water. The dishes came out at different times. They first served us the dumplings which were really good. The sauce they were in did have some chili sauce, but it was mostly like a sweet soy sauce and really tasty. It came with about 6 dumplings with a perfectly cooked wrapper and filled with flavorful pork - simple but delicious. Next was the eggplant. I was expecting a heavy garlic presence, but it was more like a sweet and sour sauce. The eggplant was very tender, but really hot so we had to wait to let it cool down a bit. The rice came after. I honestly think this was one of my favorite dishes since it was perfectly cooked, great flavor, and good portion. Lastly, the chicken came out. There was a large pile of chicken, but half of it was peppers. The chicken was cut into little bite sized pieces, each fried perfectly. Some pieces were more tongue numbing than others but it was nothing aggressive; very gentle and comfortable numb. I would have liked if there were music, but the no music was fine too; an escape from chaotic reality. Our total was around $50, which wasn't bad for the amount of food we got. I would come back to try other items.

I have never had a bad meal here, and I always try to be adventurous and try something new each time. With that being said, I always get an order of the Chongqing diced chicken. It is one of my fave dishes of all time (be warned, it is SPICY. Not for the faint of heart). The sauteed pig intestine with chili is another fave of mine. The dining area is spacious and cute, and the staff here is always incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Very helpful when there is a lot of dishes you might not be familiar with ! I went…read morehere for dinner on a weekday evening so there was no one else there, but even if there was, there's plenty of seating available. I liked the seating arrangements and how we were able to sit right by the window. The waiter was very nice and the service was prompt. What I loved most about it is the fact that they can make any dish on the menu vegan. That's huge! So I definitely took advantage of this and got myself a vegan red curry since curries aren't usually vegan. My husband got the lemongrass dish veganized with tofu. Both dishes were very flavorful and presentation was also very nice and aesthetically pleasing! For dessert, we got the fried banana rolls with ice cream which was also tasty. A huge plus was the fact that they even had a vegan honey for the dessert which is rare to find in restaurants so I was really excited about that ! The only downside to dining at the restaurant is finding parking on the hill which can always be a bit challenging, but because we were there on a weekday, we didn't have much trouble finding some metered parking. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning to try other dishes soon!

We started with the Thai Iced Tea and Fresh Rolls-shrimp, lettuce, cucumber, beansprout, carrot, basil wrapped in rice paper. The Thai Iced Tea was good and not too sweet. The fresh rolls was very fresh, just wished there was some vermicelli in there. For entrees, we had the Pad See Eww-beef, wide rice noodle, Chinese broccoli, black soy sauce and Drunken Noodles-Beef, wide rice noodle, egg, thai basil chili base, vegetables. The noodles were so flavorful and had such a great taste. The beef was a little dry, so I would get a different protein next time. The drunken noodles were spicy, so if you can't handle spicy I would suggest leveling down the spice level or order another dish. Overall, I definitely will be coming back and trying the other entrees.

The pros: the new owners are very friendly and personable. The wonton soup is still great and has even more wontons and pork lately. The Peking ravioli seem to be even tastier than they have in the past. The cons: in the past 2 weeks, I've ordered several dishes that were very different and sub-par compared to the food under the former owners. The chicken and broccoli was very goopy and the chicken tasted spoiled. I had to throw it away. I ordered chicken teriyaki and that chicken tasted sour as well, as though it was spoiled or had some type of spoiled marinade on it. This happened to me twice. Last, the waitress is no longer there I guess, so there is one person trying to work the front and serve tables. It's not working out. The new owners need to get the old server and chef back if they want to keep Hong Kong's long-time customers.

The original owners were dedicated to their business and worked very hard to maintain high quality food and exceptional service. It is sad to say I am no longer a loyal customer to this establishment. The new owners have taken a restaurant with a beaming reputation that is decades long and have turned it into a culinary wasteland. What was once one of the busiest corners in Arctic is now a ghost town. It is a shame to see a business that was superseded by such a strong reputation be diminished by the lack of consideration by new management. To all new and occasional customers be forewarned this is no longer the place you have heard others rave about!!!

At first glance, you don't see much from Elmwood Ave, but veer to the right and everything opens up on the left, with a parking lot in the back. Ornate statues lead you to the entrance, and once inside you are instantly greeted with bold colors and beautiful art everywhere. I wanted to take the opportunity to try some Cambodian food, so after some quick research, I opted for Beef Lok Lak, which happened to be one of the lunch combos. I chose fried rice and nime chow for my lunch options and settled back to wait for my feast. They bring you a complementary pot of hot tea, which I enjoyed. I believe it was a straightforward unsweetened black tea. Perfect for me. Before long the rangoons arrived. I literally said "wow" when the runner set my plate down. Beautiful golden brown, small bubbles visible all over the outside, promising crispy goodness. And it delivered. What I didn't expect what the slight chewiness to the wrapper that enhanced the experience. The filling was super creamy and delicious, but I prefer my rangoons with scallions as well. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying every bite. Then my lunch came. The beef was perfectly cooked, the dressing tangy and peppery. The nime chow was herby and super fresh as it should be. And the rice had this extra depth of flavor that made me think of tomato paste? A lovely addition the dish. I had a great meal here and the rangoons are definitely worth having! I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu!!

We got seated and after 20 minutes of waiting for our friends, we finally got a call from our friends, who had been waiting at another table in another part of the restaurant. So the coordination at the hostess stand was unacceptable. Service - Kevin was our server and he was excellent. Polite, professional, knowledgeable and attentive. A great experience. Food - Everything we had was very good from the dim sum dishes to the Lo Mein, green beans, Chinese broccoli and sushi. I had asked for some of the dishes to be made with no salt added and that was perfect for me and my husband as the dishes came out not salty at all. Overall a good dinner with friends.
