Was craving Thai food and decided to stop by Nisa's Thai for dinner. Every single dish hit the spot and the food here was flavorful fresh and so satisfying. TOM KHA GAI This soup was heavenly. The broth was rich creamy and full of coconut flavor with the perfect balance of lemongrass ginger and lime. The chicken was tender and the mushrooms soaked up all that delicious broth. Warm comforting and just perfect to start the meal. SHRIMP SUMMER ROLLS So fresh and tightly rolled with shrimp vermicelli lettuce herbs and veggies. Every bite was crunchy and clean and dipped into their peanut sauce made it even better. Loved how generous the filling was and how refreshing this tasted. CRAB RANGOON Crispy golden and packed with creamy flavorful crab filling. No greasy taste just a perfect crunchy bite with that sweet dipping sauce. These were gone fast. THAI WINGS Crispy on the outside juicy on the inside with a sweet savory sauce that coated every wing. The flavor was bold and addictive. Absolutely delicious and such a great appetizer to share. PAD KEE MAO One of my favorite dishes of the night. Chewy wide rice noodles tossed with peppers onions basil and chilis. Every bite was saucy spicy and full of flavor. Loved how veggie forward it was with the perfect amount of heat. NISA'S PAD THAI A delicious twist on traditional pad Thai. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavors were balanced with the right amount of sweetness tang and crunch. Fresh herbs peanuts and lime made every bite pop. So yummy. YELLOW CURRY This curry was smooth creamy and packed with flavor. Warm spices sweet coconut and tender veggies with your protein of choice. Poured over rice it was comfort in a bowl. So good. CHICKEN PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE This was outstanding. The rice was fluffy and loaded with chicken pineapple cashews veggies and curry powder that tied everything together. Sweet savory aromatic and just delicious. The portion was huge too. Everything we ordered was fresh flavorful and well prepared. I like Nisa's Thai fairly well. We eat here infrequently, but have never had a bad experience. Solid Thai food. The restaurant is usually pretty quiet. They do a lot of take out, but it definitely has a sit-down atmosphere. The table service is good. They have some good beers - plus points for having cloud candy. The only bad experience I've had was the time I came in hoping to eat and I waited more than 5 minutes and no one came out to the desk! It must have been a busy take out night. Their scallion pancakes are very crispy but not greasy. It tastes extra good with the sauce. The tofu triangle doesn't have much flavor as it's just fried tofu, but the sauce is pretty good. Small, clean space on the main drag with no parking and tables close together. Typical Thai menu. Based on another Yelper's intel, no longer owned by Nisa. A recent Yelp review gave high marks for the food quality but said the portions were small. On my visit I experienced the opposite for the most part. -- Tom Yum Soup: My wife's dish, so I didn't try. Looked much more thick and orange than the classic version. My wife said it didn't have much flavor. -- Golden Triangles (Samosas): Their miniature take on the Indian specialty had more flavor in one bite (potatoes, carrots, peas, and onion, sauce, spices) than everything else I had put together, but a little odd in a size not much bigger than a Chicklet. Zesty dipping sauce too. -- Scallion Pancake: Pretty ho hum and a little dry. Standard dipping sauce. -- Chili Wings: Plenty of glistening sauce, plenty of temperature heat, but no spice heat. Semi crisp and moist on the flats, very crisp and very dry on the drums. -- Pad Thai: More ho hum but near-dry in a good way. Too many versions of this dish are too sweet and too wet. This didn't have much of anything flavorwise. Shrimp on top nicely cooked. And a full bowl. -- Tofu Royal: Fresh vegetables, nicely cooked, low on flavor. -- Eggplant Delight: Fresh vegetables, nicely cooked, low on flavor (and this is flagged on the menu as very spicy). -- Chicken Krapow: My "barometer" dish to try on my first visit to any Thai restaurant brought another full bowl, lots of crumbled chicken, mostly on the dry side, with basil presence but no basil flavor, and no spice (and this is flagged on the menu as very spicy). All of the dishes would be fine if served in a typical American health food cafe. I love Thai food, but I never really got the sense I was eating Thai food. Just generic stir fry. Service was very minimal for a sit-down place. Served by the hostess who did double duty. Luckily we didn't need water refills, thanks spice and flavor being AWOL. read more

This restaurant has been under new ownership for at least a year, and it is now even better (and the staff is both kind and wonderful). The Tod mun is superb--not too greasy, and the chicken ka pow is very good, and also was not greasy when I ordered it (PLENTY of chilies!). Red mountain is also very delicious, and similar to memories of meals in Bangkok. Very delicious Pad Thai (noodles were fresh, sauce was like the Pad Thai one could get "in the old days" (when Thai restaurants were indeed owned and run by Thai immigrants--it seems that now many "American" restaurants and chains purport to have Pad Thai, but it is NOT the same!). I have also ordered the basil Pad Thai to go, along with Tod Mun, and it was equally excellent. They serve beer and wine, and although it is small, the atmosphere is clean and pleasant, and conducive to having a Signha. Stumbled upon this place for lunch after the place we wanted to try was closed. It's a small cozy Thai place with a handful of tables. We had the spicy basil pad Thai with crispy chicken and the pork pad kee mao. The pad Thai was rich and flavorful, one of the better ones I had. The crispy chicken was fried chicken cutlets that were nice and moist. The kee mao was pretty bland and didn't have much spice or basil taste. Portion sizes were decent. Nisa's is my go-to spot for Thai in the Canton area. I have come here many times with my boyfriend and his family for take-out and we've always enjoyed what we've gotten. We've had a variety of food including the Thai rolls, scallion pancakes, and summer rolls from the appetizers, the tofu and veggie delight and some chicken dishes from entrees, pad see yoo and spicy udon from the noodles, and the fried rice with crispy chicken. I love the summer rolls and the peanut sauce on the side, and pad see yoo is always a favorite. We've never had to wait too long to pick up the food, and it's always hot when we get home. The summer rolls dry up a bit so aren't great for leftovers but everything else is in my opinion (sauces don't congeal or anything like I've had happen at other places). The Pad Thai was some of the best I've had! I've found that good pad thai is really hard to find, but they make it just right. I'm not sure how to explain it other than it's almost gooey. Many places make it too dry. The noodles also have a perfect consistency, whereas at other places they often seem overcooked. It has a nice peanut flavor and is not overrun by bean sprouts. The Pad Kee Mao was very good too, though I thought the serving size was a little small in comparison to other Thai places. I liked the Thai rolls. Golden triangles were just ok, would probably pass on these next time. Great service too! read more

We've only gotten take out but the Chicken Pad Thai is really great! And I love their crab rangoons. They also do a great job of making slits in the take out containers for the crab rangoons so they don't get soggy and they stay nice and crispy. Which is awesome. Only thing they could change is the channel on their TV when you walk in. It's always set to a very politically charged network (Newsmax, Fox News, etc) and I know that can be a turn off for a lot of people. It's better for them to pick something neutral like a sitcom or game show. read more

The wait times are unusually long. They claim food will be ready in 35mins once the order is placed and and it almost never is. There is a minimum of atleast an additional 20mins. The person at the register is wearing the mask just for the sake of, nose and mouth are uncovered. Several people are waiting in close proximity to pick up their orders with/without masks. (And each time an order came out for pickup, she kept asking me for my name on the order) I just didn't think safety measures are observed, and sadly have to deduct a few stars. The food is still great, and if you aren't too concerned about safety in the middle of a pandemic, this is a place to go for some great Thai food. read more

I ordered from here through Grub Hub last night. Their menu is extensive and they stay open a bit later than a number of the other restaurants in the area. I was really looking forward to some spicy food but I wasn't in a place where I could eat a curry or a stir fry over white rice without making a mess. As a result, I ordered their tom yum fried rice, which was labeled as extra spicy on their menu. Sadly, while it was very tasty, it had no heat whatsoever. I went here for a quick dinner recently. I ordered the chicken curry puffs as an appetizer and Nisa's pad thai. The chicken curry puffs were really good although I wish there was a bit more chicken. The pad thai came with crispy chicken. The chicken was not too dry and still crispy. Both dishes were delicious. This is a nice hidden gem in Canton! read more

Came here for lunch, the place was not to full. The lady was nice and seat us right away. The Thai rolls were okay. I have better. The basil pad Thai was good, but small in portion. After, the final bites, the sauce was overbearing. The Thai ice was okay. It was pretty pricy, my sister Bill came to $18.10 and mines came to $27.60. Yuck! Ordered delivery - shrimp summer roll was raw. Chicken dish was stale AND raw. Beef was chewy.

After a long day of driving around the MIT/Fenway area, I was run down and ready for some sort of decent meal. After a quick search, we settled on Nisa's. We found a parking spot on the main street within a few storefronts of the restaurant. When we arrived, we were greeted by Nisa. She was preparing a large set of take-out trays for a graduation party. We were seated and were able to order promptly. Their wine selection was decent. We got an appetizer (spring rolls) and two entrees. All the food was quite good. I struggled a bit to finish mine, but as we were flying home the next day and would have no time for leftovers, I was incentivized. Maybe we just happened by on a 'good' night, but we really enjoyed the dinner. If I lived in the area, I would definitely return. read more
