Always up for a good sammich so wanted to check this spot out when we heard it took over what was Shroeder's. Plenty of lot parking and parking in the back as well. We walked in and the place was brightly lit and welcoming. For a Friday mid afternoon, it was pretty busy! Ordering at the left counter, payment at the right counter. There were some prepared food options in the cases but we went with sammiches and pizza. We ordered La Carolina (similar to an Italian) and La Genevra (similar to a chicken parm) - both in Italian sub rolls along some slices (margherita, pepperoni and potato). Ingredients are fresh and the food was tasty but the prices are a tad bit steep for what you get for the sandwiches. The sauce on La Genevra was just ok, I felt it was missing something but the cutlets were cooked nicely. The service was very friendly and accommodating. They do bring the food out to you when it's ready and they will clear the tables as well so be kind and don't forget to tip! We were eyeballing the desserts and gelato but were too full to get anything. Good spot to check out for sandwiches but I wouldn't go out of my way. Would love to check out dinner at some point!

Holy Moly, I saw the " Perk Eats" review on Facebook, so I went yesterday, not a spot to be had front or back, parked across the street, and walked over, you could feel the buzz before you went inside Found my spot at the end, and patiently began my wait, a line is a good sign 20-25 minutes later, one person from the counter 5hen the announcement we sold out of bread again a good sign drove up from Middletown, wasn't leaving empty, $87.00 with tip later and two full bags of selections from the case, pastries and hard to get Italian sparkling sodas, two flatbread slices for the drive back I will definitely be back on a sandwich quest mission My Irish tapeworm did a "RiverDance!!" Spotlessly clean and super fresh delicious WOW !

Very very good. Loved the Lucia add chicken cutlet on focaccia. Also got an Italian grinder, antipasto, potato pizza, pepperoni pizza, meatballs and 2 bags of chips. Antipasto was marked "lasagna" at $14.99 a pound- I wonder how much it really is?? Pizza was a little bland but nothing some sea salt and olive oil couldn't fix. They also have a bar and desserts-they didnt look great but the gelato did! Service was friendly. You can have your food there or to go. They also started serving dinner on Friday and Saturdays. Will def be back to try other items and dinner.

I was able to attend the Grand Opening for Il Fico the first week of March 2026 and what a pleasure it was. The owners were so kind and have brought such a great vision to life. You can truly get everything you need there, including full pasta meals, sandwiches, and sweet treats galore. The space is very nice and functions as a market as well as a restaurant. I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for an authentic Italian feel and great food.

Spicy rigatoni and short rib! Amazing !!!!

Just had dinner here. The best authentic Italian hands down. Staff is great, owners come around and they're so friendly! I love it here, you have to go for dinner. Need a reservation though, people are catching on to how good it is.

Since my last review of their dinners, we have come for lunch. And it was just as delicious as their dinners. We shared a sandwich and a piece of pizza. We ordered the sandwich on focaccia bread. Piled high with Parma prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, arugula, balsamic and olive oil. Half a sandwich and half a slice of pizza was just enough for the 2 of us. The pizza, we chose the Margarita, was delicious. Good amount of sauce, and that fresh mozzarella, heated. We even thought about gelato (house made) for dessert, but we were so full from the sandwich and pizza. Oh, the focaccia is also house made, and I even bought a piece to bring home. Business was steady for a later lunch time, and Zach, who was taking great care of us, said dinner time has been busy! You can really taste the quality of the food, and feel the love that goes into making each item. There is a case of some prepared food (which I'm pretty sure varies) as well as desserts. Sandwich prices may seem a bit high, but for the quality I mentioned, it is worth it and you won't be disappointed.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon to treat myself. And that is exactly what happened. I had the most delicious sandwich. The gelato was phenomenal. The cocktails were amazing. The staff was super attentive and helpful. I highly recommend stopping in!

Chicken, prosciutto, provolone,Calabrian chilis arugula with a balsamic glaze. Amazing. It was a special he had for the day.

They have specials almost every day & on Thursday, it is buy a pizza & get one 50% off, $5 red or white sangria. So that's what we did! Hubby was in the mood for an appetizer & he selected the calamari alla mama with sauteed garlic, tomatoes, hot peppers over a bed of arugula & a side of marinara. I didn't love the calamari rings so I had several & let him go to town on the dish. He very much enjoyed all the garlic & hot peppers, especially with it dousing the arugula underneath. He literally ate every bite! Hubby wanted a meat pizza so he selected the classic cheese with the pepperoni add-on. I opted for the prosciutto & arugula. Both were delicious! The crust was super thin & crispy, the toppings went all the way to the edge. If I was going to nitpick, it would only be to say that we love our pepperoni with a little char & some cupping action. Hubby opted for a Peroni & I went with the red sangria (no ice). Both were delightful! We had a rotating cast of servers & all of them were lovely. The bar was pretty empty when we got there around 5:15pm but when we left, every seat was taken. Very nice evening out!

The lights were constantly flickering. The music was so loud we had to yell just to hear the person sitting across from us. The plates were hotter than the food. There was no carne asada available. Located on a strip off Killingly with a decent amount of parking in the lot. Good looking spot with plenty of seating and a nice large bar. The only thing was that the entrance faced the bar directly where we sat so everytime the door swung open we got a huge gust of wind and a wave of cigarette smoke from the chain gang outside. So I'd suggest sitting further away from the entrance to avoid this. I'm not always the biggest fan of Mexican but wanted to give it a shot and I really enjoyed my experience here! I didn't get her name, but our bartender was phenomenal! She was a little spitfire - great personality and very attentive. You're started off with complementary chips and salsa - chips were a tad salty but were hearty bites, salsa was just ok. We ordered fish tacos and the pollo al gusto. The chicken was a bit on the oily side but was seasoned well and each bacon laced bite paired nicely with a crema sauce (I requested on the side). Fish tacos were very tasty and the chipotle mayo was yummm. Both came with rice, beans, lettuce and pico. We ended our meal with the fried cheesecake, good but not great - it wasn't what we were expecting. We both thought it would some sort of breaded cheesecake fried but it looked like it was in a wrapper of some kind and deep fried. I prob wouldn't get again but glad we tried it. All in all, we really enjoyed our visit, the staff was outstanding - the manager checked in on us a few times and really made us feel welcomed. We will def be back!

Meh Local spot right…read morenext to one of our bar favorites Mr. Bigg's. I have a question, the place is called the Chicken Coop but in theory they have very few chicken options to eat. A fried chicken sandwich with different toppings options, chicken fingers, and wings. No grilled chicken options, fried chicken on a salad (that's not a salad), and just as many burger options as chicken. Fried chicken boneless wings, which are the same as half cut chicken tenders and fried chicken sliders (which is basically a small fried chicken sandwich). As for the fried chicken sandwiches we ordered, 6 out of 10. A bit greasy and the a bun that's a bit too bready. Removed half the bun to eat. We also had wings, they were pretty good. Fried right, good sauce. Bright spot here was the service, server and bartender were very friendly and attentive. It was Friday night at 6:30 and it was slow. I think the issue here is that if you don't want a fried chicken sandwich or a burger you're gonna go elsewhere. Really need to evaluate the menu. Local business and I hope it does well, but there are things to fix here. Try it and formulate your own opinion. Thanks
