I had been hearing about this bakery for a while, but my first taste was when I tried their pizza chips at a friend's house and I couldn't stop thinking about them. Then, at Zoobilee, I spotted them again, this time topped with jalapeños. In all my years living in Rhode Island, I've never found jalapeño pizza chips anywhere, and wow.. they instantly won my heart. I knew I had to make it a mission to stop by the bakery. And let me tell you they did not disappoint! The service was amazing, and everything I tried was delicious. I had a cannoli (with chocolate chips, of course), a giant M&M cookie (literally the size of my head), and of course, their famous jalapeño pizza chips. While waiting, I noticed they also have calzones, breads, cakes, and so much more. Oh, and bonus points for having parking, which is a rare find! I can't wait to come back for another round of pizza chips, cannolis, and maybe this time I'll try one of their zeppole. I highly recommend!

Went on a quick trip to Home Depot over the weekend and the giant sign at the intersection reminded me it was "Zeppole Season"! You need to run and go pick up their raspberry & Bailey's Zeppole! They have so many other specialty flavors to choose from! The line started form outside after walking in! Service was fast and friendly!

Staff was friendly but I could tell they know what their customers. I saw a few things on Yelp I wanted to try including the Zeppoli. Sadly, I didn't like the Zeppoli much. It was Styrofoam-like with pudding filling. My sister didn't like it my neither. She only took a small pinch of it. I had to toss half of it. I had high hopes for it. However the danish with cream cheese and blueberry was as expected. It could have used more icing though. My sister gladly ate half of it.

Everything I've had from here has been delicious! The pizza chips are really great; they're always a big hit at parties. The service is hit or miss. The desserts are usually quite good as well, though the last time I got cookies from here they were super dry.

The Original Italian Bakery is a welcome sight for this South Jersey boy. Fed Hill in Providence opened up my eyes to how great the Italian bakeries in Rhode Island are. I have started to delve into the other big Rhode Island Italian community, which is located in Johnston. This bakery has the best local reviews, so it was my first spot to visit in town. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere reminded me of my favorite bakeries from South Jersey. It has earned the acclaim with great zeppoles and a new favorite of mine, pizza chips! These bite-size pizzas are awesome and pack a lot of flavor in a small package. I saved some for home, and they were perfect in the air fryer. I tried their Irish cream and pistachio zeppoles too. The Irish cream is hands down my favorite. The best part? I've only scratched the surface. From jalapeño pizza chips to classic cannolis, there's enough variety for anyone to grab their favorite. I'm excited to explore their other sweets and maybe a pizza strip (they have great tomato sauce.) After a couple more gym sessions, I'll be sure to come back and fill my sweet tooth!

I love this place. The pizza chips are by far the best. Calzones are great, individual pizzas are generous

Often they would sell by the slice (last year) however now I must buy a loaf. The problem with a whole loaf is I will eat every single bite myself, in an embarrassing amount of time. Sadly I didn't take a photo this time, so I guess I will have to buy another and add the picture later, hahahah, such a shame I'll have to get another. I will revise when I have a babka I have not devoured! The staff is friendly, the line gets through rather quickly and munching while people watching is a great way to spend a little time Saturday mornings in the Summer.

We finished off the entire loaf which I purchased, within one day. I'm kind of happy that these aren't readily available at my grocery store or my waistline could be in trouble. I'm looking forward to trying the chocolate babka in a couple of weeks. While the price of these is steep at $17/loaf you could taste the quality ingredients and loving craftsmanship in each and every bite. My only disappointment was there were very few actual pecans in our loaf and these pieces were specs. Would I buy again, oh heck yes.

This was my first visit…read more That's worth saying up front because Rosa Mia has been around for a very long time. There are people in Johnston who have been eating this pizza for most of their lives. They don't just know what it tastes like. They know what it's supposed to taste like. I had none of that. No childhood stake in this one. No fourty year memory to argue with. Just a thick, square pie and an open mind. The first surprise was the crust. This is a substantial pizza, but it didn't eat that way. The top and bottom had real crunch, crisp and golden brown, buttery, with the bottom almost looking like it had been fried in oil. Then you get through that shell and everything changes. Soft. Chewy. Light and airy. Delicious. That contrast was the best thing about the pizza. The cheese was harder to figure out. It never really browned, even around the edges where the crust was getting dark, and the flavor wasn't quite mozzarella. Sharper. Fuller. If I had to guess, I'd say there's some provolone working in there, blended in rather than announced. I could be completely wrong. Whatever it is, the cheese tasted like something. That's not as common as it should be from a lot of pizzerias. Then there was the sauce. On this particular pie, there just wasn't much there. Thin. Almost apologetic. Salt was the only note that really came through. I didn't get much tomato. I didn't get much herb. Nothing really pushed back against a crust and cheese that were doing most of the work. And that's where Rosa Mia and I probably part ways a little. Plenty of people talk about this as some of the best pizza in Rhode Island. After eating it, I understand why. That crust is excellent. The cheese is distinctive. If those are the things you care about most, this is a genuinely good pizza and absolutely worth trying. But I'm a crust-and-sauce guy. I need both. Maybe that's also the difference between discovering a pizza and growing up with one. If Rosa Mia had been down the street from my house when I was ten, maybe this is the pizza I'd spend the rest of my life defending. I understand how that happens. This is exactly the kind of neighborhood pizza that gets wired into people that way. But I didn't grow up with Rosa Mia. I got to meet it at 59, with no memories attached and nothing to judge except the pizza in front of me. Great crust. Really interesting cheese. A sauce, at least this time, that didn't give me enough. Really good pizza. And close enough to great that I understand why somebody else might have spent fifty years insisting that it is.

The pizza was like not crispy; thick, fluffy, almost bread‑like. Sauce and cheese were very thin.read more
