Alvin is a really good guy. Staff was friendly, however for the price, it wasn't quality work. I've tried to give it time but many short trims leaving light on the edges, stuff/smudges between the tint and the glass and edges of the dash were not aligned after taking apart. We dropped off our car with Alvin and was expecting it to be ready Wednesday, however Alvin called to let us know Thursday will be better if there's no rain in the forecast, and I'm all for it! He's very professional and if he insist we park our car for a few days while the ceramic coat sets, we'll keep it in the garage to maximize the ceramic coat. We had the car tinted, I didn't notice the tint until I got out of the car and saw how dark it was, sat back in the car and I can still see out the back, he also added vinyl on our bumper, looks good and clean, I kinda wish I had him vinyl more of the car though. First off, I didn't realize how many option I had with window tinting. Alvin took my needs, age of car, and cost to make a great recommendation. Not that Alvin needs any more 5 star reviews, but I felt it was necessary based on the work he did. I was referred to Alvin by my friend/co-worker, Allan. Allan mentioned up front that Alvin would be a little more expensive then other tint shops, but his work would be worth the small difference. Allan has never steered me wrong so I booked a same day appointment (01/03/2017) with Alvin (1:30pm). I finished up at the dealer a couple hours early and ended up at Alvin's around 11:30-11:45am. I explained to him I wanted to get the front windows tinted on my new 2017 Honda Pilot so it would match the rest of the vehicle's factory tinted windows. Instead of making me wait till my appointment time, Alvin was nice enough to stop working on the current vehicle and began working on my Pilot immediately. His partner (Glenn???) and him removed my door panels, the side mirrors, and even popped out the little corner windows. Alvin said he does it this way because that's the best way to install the tint and to make sure it doesn't get hung up on the bottom. In closing, Alvin was done in about an hour or so and he did an amazing job. I plan on referring him to all my friends who are looking to get their windows tinted. Thanks Alvin!!! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR TESLA MODEL 3 to Alvin!! Model 3 has a huge rear window and Alvin told me that he tints it using 2 strips of film and that I will not see the seem where the 2 films meet. Well, I can see and feel the seem crystal clear from my rear view mirror. It is hard to see from the outside but when you're driving the car you can see a line going right through the rear window. Also, Alvin removes all the door panels and does a sloppy job of putting them back. There were broken door clips inside the panel that Tesla Service Center found while diagnosing a rattle. Not only that, Alvin did not trim the film at the bottom of the front window such that every time you roll the window down it hits something inside the door panel and makes a clicking sound. Alvin told me that was Tesla's "poor design" issue. Tesla Service Center removed the excess film AND the blue painters tape that Alvin did not remove before putting the panels back. Tesla Service Center also gave me the broken door clip pieces from 2 doors, and identified another in a 3rd door. Luckily, Tesla did not charge me to remove and replace the broken panel clips from 2 of the doors for free but will charge me labor ($195 per hour) to remove and replace the 3rd one. It is sloppy sloppy work especially for the high price Alvin charges. Pictures are of the excess film that Alvin did not bother to trim that Tesla Service Center found and of the broken door clips rattling at the bottom of the door panel. If you don't want broken door panel clips and don't want to see an ugly line going through your rear window DO NOT TAKE YOUR MODEL 3 to Alvin. Also, Alvin does not take COVID precautionary measures, does not social distance and does not wear a mask. read more

I first heard about Alvin O's around 2008 when I asked the dealer about getting the windows on our Jaguar tinted. He told us that they sent all of their tint jobs out to Alvin. He has tinted my 2007 E350, 2007 750LI and most recently my 2022 Q60 Red Sport. Alvin offers quality services, reasonable rates and his honest opinion on what will work best for you and your vehicle. Have I found cheaper prices? Yes, but I have yet to find better customer service, quality work or a more honest and friendly businessman.
