The new waitress is horrible l the last three times I was in there I watched people come in after me and eat and leave before I even got my food. And she never gets anybody's drink. Pizza was okay, cheesy and not too much sauce. Toppings left a little to be hoped for, did not have a lot of flavor, maybe not the freshest. Price was high and definitely not something I would do on a regular day. Waitress was very disrespectful; when we entered the facility she gave us a very disapproving appearance, upon asking us if we were dining in or taking out we responded dining it. She responded with attitude, "Sit down then." We asked her the sizes of the small pizza, as this was our first (and last) time eating there, and she responded with a half-arsed answer. Pretty solid pie. Nothing overly special but it's definitely good. I'd take it any day over the chain garbage which is about your only other option in this town. When I'm back in town for work I'd consider going back. For Dyersburg only I'd probably bump it up to maybe 4 stars considering your options. This place has a simple look. When you walk in there are white fold-out style tables and chairs like you would see at church. Makes you feel like your at home here. I ordered a large pizza special on Weds night for $8.95 half pep and half cheese. The cheese fell off the pizza as the sauce ran over the crust. The kind you have to eat with a fork. I love the Italian Beefs and pizza. The pizza crust is handmade, and he never skimps on the toppings. His beef comes from Chicago (or it did the last time I talked to him about it). Be sure and order it wet and have plenty of napkins or a fork and a knife to eat the sandwich with, though. My husband raves about their salads and calzones. Tony's restaurant has been a tradition in our city as long as I can remember. I always order my food to-go, but when I have been in his restaurant downtown, it's always full. I was in Dyersburg for business and stopped at Alvino's. The dining room is as simple as it gets. There were several familes sitting on fold up chairs around fold up tables.
