This review has been long overdue. Cami took our newborn photos for my two older kiddos. I knew as soon as we were expecting that I wanted Cami to take our 3rd kiddos photos. Unfortunately, Cami was all booked up. I ended up going with another photographer but was so unhappy with the results because of the expectations/bar Cami set. I reached our to Cami once more and we were lucky enough that she had an opening! She is extremely patient and will take her time to get the perfect shot. After much research on different photographers and going back and forth about not doing newborn photos for my baby we decided to go with Cami Heart Photography and boy am I glad we did! If you go to her website she covers all the questions you may have and all the information you may need. She is very thorough in how she explains everything so there is no miscommunication. Setting up an appointment was a breeze! I just emailed her and she asked for my due date and went from there. She was very flexible with our appointment! Even though I was due in July, my Dr decided she wanted to induce me so I had to reschedule with Cami. Then my baby actually decided to come even earlier than the induction date so I had to reschedule again. Cami was so understanding and was able to work with our schedule once again. When we showed up for our appointment I was in awe! She had a beautiful well organized and well decorated home, and an even more beautiful studio! It felt like I was in a fairytale! All the cute decorations and props beautifully laid out and organized. She even has a changing table for baby with disposable wee pads so you can lay out a fresh one before laying your baby in there. The bathroom is fully stocked with feminine pads and breast pads (which us post-partum mama's need). Cami even took the time to fix MY hair of all the fly aways since new moms have baby hair. After asking my permission she put in some product to keep the baby hairs down. As soon as Cami started working I could tell how passionate she is about what she does. Every little thing she does she puts her soul into it. She's an artist working on her masterpiece! She takes her time whether it be setting up baby in a swaddle or setting up the back drop / props for photos. She is so patient and gentle when handling your baby. I'm so glad I went with cami and could not be happier with the results. I did a lot of research on other photographers in the OC area and Cami's work is the BEST! I will be back for my future babies. Cami is one of the most talented photographers we have ever met! She was amazing with our newborn although the little babe was fussy quite a bit. My husband and I were so impressed by her patience and skill. She's located quite close to Disneyland, and although coming from LA we were worried about the drive (with me still recovering and a newborn), the investment is totally worth it!! Cami is as good as they come. A complete sweetheart and so great with our newborn. She took her time to make sure we got all of the poses we wanted. She knew exactly how to put our baby back to sleep and keep her asleep. When you get there, she has all of the props and photo stations set up but she asks you to take a look at everything and see if there's anything you want changed. She has a wide variety of props and baby gear and she uses different props to give you choices. The photos came out amazing and I look at them every day. She will email you detailed information about the session, along with a contract, questionnaire, and an invoice. You can pay the retainer of $100 via PayPal or Venmo to secure your session. The remaining balance will be collected day of (cash, check, Venmo). I know she's pretty busy so book in advance if you can! She does her own editing and has many backdrops and accessories to choose from. I received my gallery in about 3 weeks and it was worth the wait! Parents a little tip: she does keep her studio very warm for the baby so please dress comfortably, it can get hot since we were there for a couple hours. My baby was a week old when I decided to have her newborn photos taken with our family of 5. I started searching for newborn photographer on Google and consulted some of our friends. She was very nice, professional and patient with all the questions I had. She recommended clothing color to coordinate for my husband and 2 older kids. The Dilemma: My original photographer cancelled the night before my baby's newborn photo session because she fell ill. My baby was 12 days old at that time so I knew that the window to take the photos was getting slim. In a panic, I started contacting a bunch of other newborn photographers to see if anyone could squeeze us in. The Savior: Cami responded within the hour, at night. She had an opening 2 days later! After reviewing her portfolio, I knew booking her was a slam dunk. Her portfolio photos were even better than my original photographer.
