This has got to be one of the coolest parks I've ever been to. Something for all ages BIG KIDS included. I wish I could post more pics to capture how cool it was but there were so many kids you couldn't catch a frame without one. The highlights: A firetruck with flashing lights A realistic tree stump to for kids to play in A slide that has wheels And airplane A reading area/ free "take one" library A life size music area with a walk on piano Soft play surface A skate park A WHALE THAT SPEWS WATER OUT ITS SPOUT! Definitely worth a drive to visit.

Wow Hayward has got its share of excellent, toddler-friendly playgrounds. Our 4yo son had a blast at Mia's Dream Come True Playground. They have lots of fun and creative attractions, for athletically-inclined kids to casual explorers. Cool things include this see-saw bridge that gently changes inclines as you traverse it, and some nice hills that most kids can navigate. They got big whales that blow mist through the blowholes, and places to make music. It is similar to Imagine Playground in Dublin but better for younger kids and less chaotic. Some notes for the adults: * Parking is along the street and there's plenty. The main lot is all handicap. * They'll frequently have ice cream vendors and fruit sellers onsite. * Restrooms look modern and futuristic with automated doors, self-cleaning features, and audio. However, practically the sink design isn't good and limited supply of toilet paper/covers. They are mostly clean but tends to have water all over the floor. * The nice thing about this park is that its enclosed, so your rambunctious kids won't wander off to far. The park is in a residential neighborhood and adjacent to a bigger open park.

Another gem of a park. We entered the neighborhood and didn't feel we'd end up in a well maintained beautiful park. The park is specially structured to be used by disabled! The entrance, music section, firetruck, slides and swings collection .. everything is unique. Special mention to quiet zone to read or lounge under big shade. The swing for disabled openly open with a special key. Only thing we missed is basin hand to wash the kids' hands. Definitely should be on one's list to visit Atleast once.

Water spout from the whale, you need to touch the blue pole nearby to activate it.

Really cool place to be with the kids! The park is done very well, it had available features for all sorts of modalities so everyone can play! The best thing though is the restrooms. It's going to sound weird but it's like being in Japan in 2025 not in the United States 1970! There's construction behind the park so they're going to add what looks like a skatepark and some basketball courts. Definitely a "must-go" place if you're in the area or want to go to a really cool park!

Very nice park! One of my kids favorites to go to. They have plenty to do with multiple section of stuff for kids like music, swings, slides, climbing hill, and reading area with books. They are working on areas around the park but it's still open for play.

First time, my husband and I brought our daughter here. Met up with my cousin, her BD, and her son. My daughter and her cousin had so much fun! This playground is so amazing for the kiddos. It's like an amusement park for the little kiddos. Lol This playground has so much activities to keep your kid occupy for a few hours. Every kid has something to do or they find something to do at this playground. So, don't worry about your kiddo being bored. They will be so tired at the end of the day. Also, they have picnic tables in two areas of the playground. Great for hosting a birthday party! I personally didn't use the self-cleaning restrooms, but I heard they are clean and decent. Overall, I totally recommend this playground for your little ones to come and play until their hearts are content. We, definitely, will come back to this playground again!

I love how this park is gated, spacious, and lots to do for the kids. Plenty of places to sit and good amount of shade throughout the park. I only wish they had more swings. It was popular when we went.

This park is absolutely AMAZING!!!!!…read more Lucky for us, my family moved in this area and Greenwood Park is within walking distances. With it's infamous 3 towering flower structure that offers beauty and shade, you can't miss it!! While there are the typical play structures found at typical parks, Greenwood has a number of musical instruments to play with and enjoy. The park has plenty of seating areas and also has BBQ grills. There are restrooms available but I can't speak on the conditions since I haven't actually used them. The park is spacious, clean, and is the perfect spot to relax with a snack or have a full blown paaaartay!! 5/5 stars, my family and I love everything about Greenwood!!

Flowering trees, walkways, little musical instrument for kids, bay friendly rated landscaping, beautiful flower shaped shade artwork, hammock, swings, play structure, small trampoline, basketball hoops... I could go on and on about all the different amenities. There is something for everybody. One beautifully done park... likely from money from the new nearby construction. Big newer homes are on one side and then trailer park homes are on the other side. Its a public park and no matter what you pay for rent or where you live it is here for you to enjoy. The one problem I saw was the basketball hoops. They were like tiny lakes. For whatever reason the concrete contractors messed up. They made little swimming pool instead of flat concrete that doesn't puddle up. I've bounced a ball in a tiny pool of water... and let me tell you - its one way to end the fun. Great little park for all residents of Hayward. Worth a little drive to get to.

I came back with my dog, just to relive some childhood memories, and the construction they did really changed it. The new differences I love: - New paved walkways instead of just grassy fields. I think this is much more pleasant for parents pushing strollers. - They have a new tea cup ride? They only had the carousel when I was little! - The okay structure is wow! I wish we had this as a child, but it was lovely to walk around and hear the kids playing and laughing. It brought back some really good memories. I always begged my parents to push me on the round wheel swing. - New infrastructure looks nice and beautiful - They still have the train, it seems only on weekends. - They have a Bocce ball area New changes that I wasn't so fond of: - For the expensive infrastructure, they didn't have those pop bad dispensers, which was surprising. It doesn't affect us much, as we carry a poop bag holder, but I can see it catching folks off guard. - There is no longer an area to greet and feed goats... though, I guess they isn't a bad thing, as my sister got rammed by a goat here as a child. I do miss those goats though. - Lastly, it feels like there is a lot of unused space. So much empty grass! Though, I guess it gets busy in the weekends. Overall, a pleasant new change to a place that's been such an important part of my childhood!

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Lets get hammered in the park!!! No, no, thats not a good idea. For we must think of the children. Somebody must think of the children!!! And children you will find here. Play structure and tennis courts. Soccer field and basketball. Now we must be good influence to the next generation. We won't have any of that. Parking lot is tiny - somehow you will find a spot - I think this is a locals mostly park that walk here. Soccer field is nice and short. Some lines drawn on it - shockingly nice for Hayward. Tennis courts are toward the back. You might not even notice them on your first visit. Tons of rose bushes. Very elegant curvy paths cut through all the bushes. The flowers are varied with different colors and types. Very well taken care of but I did notice some aphids on one bush - you can never have perfect roses. Bathrooms and water fountain. I didn't go in the bathrooms but the water fountain had a nice strong stream. HAARD might have some office space here in the form of taking over an old historic house. Not sure the deal with it but very interesting. If I had to guess some wealthy person 100 years ago owned the house and surrounding land and donated it to the city. If you live in Hayward - this is a must see - at least once. See if its for you. And if your gonna booze it up - maybe put it in a water bottle.
