This is hands-down the coolest playground in the East Bay I've been to thus far. While in the area for a family BBQ, we heard about this spot from parent friends and decided it was finally time to check it out. Wow! I was honestly blown away. We brought lunch to have at the park and honestly, not much was eaten because there was just so much to do! What a toddler dreamland. There's a solitary airplane by the swings, a 'firetruck' to enter/exit, a boat to drive, slides of all kinds..a whale to climb that blows water steam out of its blowhole! I mean..the creativity! There's a quiet area that has books and chairs to read to the littles, like a "take one/leave one" small library. A section dedicated to music where littles can create sounds from a piano by using their feet to step on the keys. A bike park next-door. A pirate ship..I mean, the list goes on and on! In short, this playground is inclusive to all. The magic, wonder, uniqueness, and just imaginative play that is captured by adults and kids alike is really awesome for somewhere in the East Bay. We already can't wait to come back again. Street parking adjacent to playground can be found. This is a popular spot, so plan accordingly. read more

Such a sweet playground! I enjoy all the accessibility intended to allow children of all abilities to play. The lounge chairs for parents near the more exciting features are also very cool. My son plays basketball at the nearby recreation center and we walked over to the park after his session- not realizing it was Mia's Dream Come True until halfway through play. This park is epic - from the Braille to the musical/sound features, awesome fire truck and the spouting whale! We could spend hours here (or at least an hour because Mama's got a schedule). For now we'll be back most weekends after basketball practice. I'd recommend this park to all parents of small children. read more

Mia's Dream Come True Playground is one of the best playgrounds we've visited in the Bay Area. It's thoughtfully designed, inclusive, and has something for kids of all ages and abilities. My biggest tip is to avoid after-school hours if you can. The playground gets extremely crowded, and it can be hard for little ones to navigate all the excitement. If you go earlier in the day, it's a much more relaxed experience. Overall, this is absolutely worth a visit and has quickly become one of our favorite playgrounds. My twin toddlers' new favorite playground. There's a little something for everyone here. My kids particularly like the rolling slide and the trampolines. I can't wait until they grow into the musical features like the giant keyboard and chimes. It can get a bit crowded on the weekend but there's plenty of street parking if the lot is full. read more

This park is thoughtfully designed for children of all abilities. There's a soft play area for babies and toddlers, adaptive swings for kids in wheelchairs, and the entire playground is fenced for safety. The roundabout parking prioritizes disabled spots which is a smart and inclusive touch. There are shaded quiet areas, picnic tables for snacks or lunch, and a small free library (though it had little to no books when we visited). The bathrooms are high-tech with audio instructions and a 10-minute limit, but cleanliness was an issue as with most public spaces. Both women's restrooms had toilet seats up with pee on them, no seat covers, and people didn't seem to follow the gender signs. Overall, a great park with good intentions. Very thoughtful playground for kids of all abilities. I brought my 3 year old grandson and he loved finding all the different things to do. He ran up and down the hills, played on the whale and made the water spout, loved the swings under the airplane and the musical section. I appreciated that they thought to put so much seating for the adults and that there is a fence around the playground. As an added bonus, they have nice bathrooms right there! Not sure if it would hold up with kids much older than 5 or 6, but maybe? read more

I've been looking for a park that my 22 month old toddler and my 11 month old crawler can play at, and this park is probably the only place that suits them both! From slides, swings and rocking climbing area, this area for sure will tire out the little ones! Great place to go have a picnic as well! Wow Hayward has got its share of excellent, toddler-friendly playgrounds. Our 4yo son had a blast at Mia's Dream Come True Playground. They have lots of fun and creative attractions, for athletically-inclined kids to casual explorers. Cool things include this see-saw bridge that gently changes inclines as you traverse it, and some nice hills that most kids can navigate. They got big whales that blow mist through the blowholes, and places to make music. It is similar to Imagine Playground in Dublin but better for younger kids and less chaotic. Some notes for the adults: * Parking is along the street and there's plenty. The main lot is all handicap. * They'll frequently have ice cream vendors and fruit sellers onsite. * Restrooms look modern and futuristic with automated doors, self-cleaning features, and audio. However, practically the sink design isn't good and limited supply of toilet paper/covers. They are mostly clean but tends to have water all over the floor. * The nice thing about this park is that its enclosed, so your rambunctious kids won't wander off to far. The park is in a residential neighborhood and adjacent to a bigger open park. read more

Another gem of a park. We entered the neighborhood and didn't feel we'd end up in a well maintained beautiful park. The park is specially structured to be used by disabled! The entrance, music section, firetruck, slides and swings collection .. everything is unique. Special mention to quiet zone to read or lounge under big shade. The swing for disabled openly open with a special key. Only thing we missed is basin hand to wash the kids' hands. Definitely should be on one's list to visit Atleast once. read more

What a cool playground! It was huge and there was a lot to do. Great for all ages, from babies to pre-teens. My kids had so much fun! I like how inclusive it is with a swing that can accompany a wheelchair. Some of the reviews must be kind of old-because it was fenced in and felt totally safe. Additionally the bathrooms were really cool. That is an odd comment but you have to experience it. It is fully automated, talks to you, is self cleaning and gives a time limit before you are sprayed with water. This is to prevent homeless people from camping out there--it was very high tech. Really cool place to be with the kids! The park is done very well, it had available features for all sorts of modalities so everyone can play! The best thing though is the restrooms. It's going to sound weird but it's like being in Japan in 2025 not in the United States 1970! There's construction behind the park so they're going to add what looks like a skatepark and some basketball courts. First time, my husband and I brought our daughter here. Met up with my cousin, her BD, and her son. My daughter and her cousin had so much fun! This playground is so amazing for the kiddos. It's like an amusement park for the little kiddos. Lol This playground has so much activities to keep your kid occupy for a few hours. Every kid has something to do or they find something to do at this playground. So, don't worry about your kiddo being bored. They will be so tired at the end of the day. Also, they have picnic tables in two areas of the playground. Great for hosting a birthday party! I personally didn't use the self-cleaning restrooms, but I heard they are clean and decent. Overall, I totally recommend this playground for your little ones to come and play until their hearts are content. We, definitely, will come back to this playground again! read more

Absolutely the best playground all over Bay Area. Everything is new, clean and well maintained. There are many different theme sections for kids to explore. The big rubber ground is very safe. And they have the best pump tracks and kids who love bikes will have a fantastic time here. And even the bathrooms here are electrically controlled and very clean. read more

Best imaginative all-abilities playground that I've been to in the Bay Area. We held our son's 3rd birthday party here and had tons of fun. You can't reserve the tables and it's first come, first served! Bathrooms are great and designed for people with different abilities they're self cleaning so don't be surprised if you walk in and the floor is wet Caution: the playground is gated but there's interesting people in the external park area that sometimes linger near the gate. One was a hot mess throwing stuff over the gate at my son's birthday party and revealing hisself. Be aware and vigilant Interactive firehouse, trampoline built into the ground. Great climbing structures and swings. Mia and her family did an incredible job designing this beautiful park .i love the quiet area for kids with sensory sensitivities I wish there were more parking spaces. Great Playground, especially for young children. Great high tech restrooms also. I just wish they had some kind of security there, because the last time we took our grandson, there were alot of homeless people near by drinking and doing drugs, i believe, also using the restrooms. There was feces and wet toilet tissue all over the toilets and walls and we noticed homeless people going in there frequently and taking long periods of time. So we haven't been there since. Its a shame because, Mia's Playground itself is such a great concept, if it wasn't for the homeless addicts constantly use the restrooms and that frequent the open field right outside the playground. Amazing playground for kids of all abilities. The space is large and well maintained. We've been going here since our daughter was 18 months, and there's plenty to keep her occupied and curious. Her favorites are the musical section, jumping trampoline and the rolling slide. They have picnic areas and chairs/benches all over. Great park!! From the outside looking in, place looks like a baby park but my kids with me 7 and 11 had a great time here!! Decor all over the entire park is amazing! I had great parking due to all the front parking is for the disabled. There is a lot of street parking all around the park and it's close to places to eat or grab food. The water features here are mist from the boat and the whale. Lots of climbing places, a floor trampoline, spinning fixtures, and a couple different kind of swings. Another great thing about this park is that the are entrances through a gate so no kids can just walk out without going through the gate. I definitely recommend this place to take all kids. I don't know about party wise though more like a come and play place for families. read more

This playground is certainly a dream come true. I've been waiting for this place to open up and I'm so glad that there is something like this in Hayward, so close to home! Thanks so much to Mia, her family, donors and HARD for making this beautiful playground possible. I was so touched when I heard Mia's story. As a parent of a child with special needs, I am so grateful to hear stories like Mia's and seeing the community become more inclusive. This playground is a place for all kids, and a huge plus that is was designed for kiddos with disabilities. It does get really busy after 11 so I try to bring my kid a little earlier to beat the crowd. It seems that residents from other cities are coming by to enjoy this one-of-a-kind playground. This is definitely my child's new favorite place to visit. This is enjoyable for kids of all ages. The bathrooms are really high tech and clean, and there is so much space so the kids will move around with ease. There is plenty of street parking and seats everywhere when you need a break. A lovely playground that opens is arms to children of all abilities. I have been to hundreds of playgrounds with active kiddos who are always seeking new adventures. We were from out of town.. I was amazed by the beauty of this venue. Kudos to the city or organization that maintains these premises. I felt safe.. everything was clean.. and I loved the story of this playgrounds. It is by far the best playground I have ever visited. TL;DR... child of limited abilities dreams playground where she could play with all her friends. Designs and builds an amazing park with her papa.. backed by kaiser hospital group. The details were magnificent. Lots of shade, enclosed for safety, tons to do for all ages. I have never seen an actually swing where a child in wheelchair can actually swing! Quiet cornet to read, complete with privacy screen to avoid sensory overload from the rest of the park. Lots of slides and climbing, fire house, hills, etc. This park had it all. We're not local .. but if I am ever in the area.. we will be back. HIGHLY recommended. This place really is a dream come true! I have two special needs toddlers, so trying to find an ideal playplace is a challenge. I found this place thanks to Yelp and am so glad I did. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was understandably crowded. Despite the number of kids, the park is spacious and everything was spread out so it doesn't feel as crowded as it might. I love all the ways the playground was inclusive and engaged different senses! My kids loved the music section with the piano and drums, and went nuts over the firetruck. At one point we had to use the bathroom to change one of my toddlers. The bathrooms are high tech with buttons to open/close the door, motion sensors to wash your hands (soap, water and fan) and so on. The bathroom is timed and if you're there more than 10 minutes, you'll hear a loud beeping warning sound and the door will open. We were in the middle of changing one kid when that happened, and thankfully no one was waiting, so we just pushed the button to close the door. One encounter that dampened our afternoon was at the slides--one kid kept pushing both my toddlers when they were trying to go down the slide, and when I asked her not to push, her parent (who had been sitting off in the distance for some time) went off on me on how this should be a place where kids can play nicely together and we should all be gentle. Oh, the irony. Despite that encounter, our experience at the park was great and we'll be back! read more

This is one of the best playgrounds I have ever taken my children too. If you are looking for somewhere that will spark the imagination and play of your little ones, this is the playground to go to! This is a really fun park, lots to do and things to climb on. Mostly for kids probably five years old and under. The only drawback for the place is that 100% of the parking actually in the parking lot is handicap, everyone else has to park on a pretty busy and narrow Street and walk in the street to the driveway because there is no sidewalk that leads to the park. This is such a great play ground. First of all it is huge. There is plenty of space for kids to run around. The amount of activities and equipment is insane. There is a musical area with multiple bongo drums, musical chimes, and keyboard you can walk. There are toddler swings, big kid swings, family swings, and wheelchair accommodating swings.
