Bigger kid play structure - 2 towers
    Sharon H.

This is a nice community center with a great recently renovated playground. It has a full length basketball court, football/soccer field, large grassy fields, picnic tables. Bathrooms are currently open, though water fountains are not on. There are two playground areas adjacent to each other. The big kid structure has two tall towers that are fun for make-believe play. The smaller toddler structure also has a lot of musical instrument toys including a colorful xylophone, drums, etc. The entire playground has that soft squishy padding, no tan bark or sand. Large parking lot as well with shade.

Both bathrooms are out of order. As a delivery person this really sucks. Why can't they maintain the bathrooms! You all like Amazon but you don't understand that we are human and have to use the restroom.

This park is my new favorite place. I actually live a 5 minute walk from lake Elizabeth and I refuse to go there now because of the crowd, the lake with no fencing, and the bird poop scattered everywhere. This park has two play structures and the larger one is mostly in the SHADE so you can come here and not worry about all the sun shining down on the little ones while they play. Plus it's fairly empty even on the weekend which makes it less dangerous for the little ones. There are a total of 6 swings here with 4 being bucket seats, lots of picnic tables, a basketball court, a grassy area surrounding the play area so we can watch them, and a large field to run in. Love it!

Remodeled from the old rusty and sanded playground to this. As you can see. Updated slides and swings for the kids. The basketball court is about the same. Only downside about this park is that some of the bigger kids from a nearby school finds their way here and bullies the little ones. Watch out for them!

    Nice day at the park!

I like this place because I can go anywhere and go play on the slides and on the swings. It takes 7 minutes to ride the bike.

Around sunset on a Monday there were still lots of people sitting on the benches, walking, biking, jogging, and roller blading. Felt pretty safe, but when the sun sets there's not many walkway/street lamps so keep that in mind. Lots of Canadian geese and we got to see their awkward teenage goslings. There's some ducks and we got to see what looked like cormorant and I think a small heron. We also got to see small song birds and some robins too. It's neat that they have bird houses on some of the trees too and we got to see some ground squirrels. I think the prehistoric themed playground is super nice too. I LOVE themed things so the little saber tooth structure from the distance was quite nice. Along the lake are some "work out equipment" like a pull up bar and parallel bars. Lots of bird turds, so be wary of where you walk, but other than that. A solid park.

Which makes sense when you're in a concrete urban jungle day in and day out - we just weren't meant to live this way. I literally searched Yelp for a park in the area on my way home, and Lakeshore came up. Tucked away in a residential area, Lakeshore is a small-ish, serene, well-kept park with, as the name implies, a lake being the central point. I strolled on the path for a bit. I'm not sure how long the path is, but it seems like a good spot to get a decent walk in, and there were a few walkers and joggers. After stretching my legs for a bit, I grabbed some bench and watched the birds - geese (these guys are huge!), seagulls, ducks, and crows - hanging out and eyeballing me to determine if I had food. They were so cute. There is nothing that gets me feeling better fast than being around animals. The human animals that passed by were nice as well, with smiles and hellos, how refreshing. I spent some time just sitting and resetting. It was good. I need to do this more. Nice park, enjoyed a much-needed reprieve here, and would return.

When we came across a video of this location on instagram we knew we had to plan a day to come. The weather says 80, but with the breeze and the slight shade from the trees it felt more like low 70s. We were lucky to get the only bench in front of the main play structure over looking the smaller ones. Others sat in lawn chairs and on blankets under the trees. There is no public restroom on site. There is a Ranch 99 about a block away, so if the lil one had to potty that is where we planned to venture. There is one food truck selling Mexican food - cash only - otherwise bring your own snacks. We were fortunate to snag parking directly in front of the park as space is limited. Around the park, there is a single block creating half a "circle" of parking availability. There is more parking around but it requires crossing the street. The residential street directly across from the park is no parking 9a-4p. There is a path for littles to ride their bikes, scooters or skate around safely, remaining visible. Our daughter kept hers in the car while she played between the multiple structures with different "friends." There is also a fitness area on site as well as a smaller tot area in a separate section of the park and a half basketball court. There was a birthday party being held on the premise. This is definitely a park we would return to if she requested. The lack of restroom does have me a bit torn, but knowing this allows us to plan a bit smarter. I would bring a friend along to accompany her as they could play on different structures while both remain visible. Our tall 6 year old played in both areas of the park - big and little kid areas - and enjoyed them both. They is quite a bit of exploring and lots to do for a free adventure day at the park.
