While the administrative staff was nice and attentive, my clinical experience with Dr. Patel felt more like a high-pressure "timeshare sales pitch" than a medical consultation. The first red flag happened when Dr. Patel recommended a specific cleaning that included a rinse/spray. When I told him I just wanted the basic cleaning covered by my insurance, he dismissed my preference. He stated he didn't know anything about my insurance coverage and refused to perform the basic cleaning. I later learned that his recommended cleaning came with an out-of-pocket expense of at least $100. The second red flag came when he displayed my X-rays on the big screen. He went over every tooth and recommended replacing old silver fillings with cosmetic white ones, along with several other costly procedures.
