I get a call within a day or two from the nicest lady (I'm terrible with names so I forgot her name) who verified they were in-network with my plan and scheduled my appointment got the following week. Here's the wonky doodle part that is the mess called having United healthcare. From the UHC app, you're given the option to have a virtual insurance card added to the Apple wallet on your phone. Well what occurred is (and still occurring, so watch out for this if you have UHC as your insurer) the member ID and group number on that virtual card does not match your actual member ID and group number! So the original info I submitted with my appointment request was completely wrong and why it originally looked like these doctors were in-network with my plan. I really wish my company offered another insurer. What's worse is when your insurer sucks mixed with incompetent/inexperienced practice staff because things can fall through the cracks and the patient could end up with a giant bill because of those two factors. I've worked in healthcare and practice operations for over a decade now and I can confidently say the staff here is competent. In doing their due diligence and verifying my coverage and eligibility, they too realized the original insurance info I submitted was incorrect and upon checking on my actual benefits - it turns out they were out-of-network and the lady immediately called me with that update. Had they not completed the absolutely imperative step in any practice of verifying coverage and eligibility well before a patient's appointment, I could've ended up with a bill I didn't expect. And in the ever rising cost of living, this competence and due diligence is appreciated now more than ever. It was a bummer I couldn't be treated here but luckily the provider at the San Ramon location is in-network with my insurance.

His staff are very kind and accommodating. They are super friendly and easy to work with to make appointments. Your first appointment will be a longer assessment as well as with an adjustment and muscle relaxer session. It takes about an hour for first session. Subsequent sessions are usually 30-40min long. They start with the muscle relaxer machine for about 15min then Dr. Spuller comes in to do the adjustments. Expect to have more frequent sessions in the beginning (maybe 2x a week) for a period of time and after that it'll be maybe once a week. It all depends on your situation. I'm glad to have come to Dr Spuller. He is dependable and great to have as a chiropractor

I was having severe tension in my neck and shoulders that eventually spread to my jaw, resulting in DAILY headaches and pain. I found Dr. Asturias through Yelp and I'm so glad I did! He clearly has deep expertise in breaking down scar tissue to promote healing. Over the past 4-5 weeks, I've had 7-8 sessions with him. Each one starts with wrist adjustments and stretching, followed by Graston therapy to break up scar tissue and improve circulation, and ends with light therapy to accelerate healing. I won't lie--each session is painful (feels like torture at times!), but I see noticeable results within a day or two. When I first saw him, I couldn't even push press a 10lb dumbbell or squat because I couldn't bend my wrist back. Also, I was feeling immense pain at the base of the palm with any contact. After just a few sessions, I was pressing my pre-surgery weight and squatting again without pain.
