Obsessed with Dr. Renee and how she manages her business. When I was asking about pricing, packages and scheduling, she was so lenient and just said "I really want people who need the care to get the care" SOLD! Oh and the pain I was suffering with prior to my very first visit never returned.. also sold! read more

The short of it: Dr. Renee is a great communicator, she's friendly, authentic, extremely experienced, and all around wonderful. You have come to the right place for chiropractic care (key word 'care'.., because Dr. Renee sure does care). The longer review: I reached out and described my pregnancy back pains in the last chunk of my pregnancy, and am so glad I did. I wish I'd found her as soon as I moved to the Bay Area! Dr Renee quickly responded to my initial email with empathy and solutions. She helped me through the remainder of my pregnancy with her dedication, experience, understanding, attention, care, and expertise. She helped me with my pubic bone pain, general tightness from having scoliosis, my tailbone pain, and overall wellness. After pregnancy, she's adjusted me and gone above and beyond to really help my body in its recovery. Dr. Renee is excellent. She cares, she is an amazing listener, she's not just experienced in her practice, but she truly understands what you go through during a pregnancy; not only is she superb with pregnancy adjustments, she's a pro with non-pregnancy ones. That makes her stand out, people. She is a gem of a human. If ever someone asks me about chiropractic care, she's the one I refer. Her office space is clean, welcoming, professional, tasteful, relaxing, and spacious. You feel at ease when you walk through the door. Parking and directions are a cinch, and the neighborhood is fantastic, not to mention it's right near a great park and is conveniently located in Pleasanton not far from the freeway and main streets. read more

I started to see Dr. Renee in my late 2nd/early 3rd trimester of pregnancy because I was experiencing crippling sciatica and round ligament pain. After 2 adjustments my sciatica was gone and my round ligament pain was gone soon after. I wish I had gone to her sooner because I was desperately in need of her help. I was especially impressed with her skills because she did everything by feel since we couldn't take x-rays while I was pregnant. She really knows her stuff and right away I felt comfortable with her. I've continued my care after birth and couldn't wait to get in after I had the baby. Breastfeeding is really hard on my neck and upper back and I definitely feel the difference after I get adjusted. I recently learned my baby as Torticollis, which was preventing him from turning his head to the left. After trying to correct it on my own with no luck, I got the nerve to ask Dr. Renee for help. I'd never seen a baby adjustment before and was a little nervous. It was so gentle that my baby slept through his first adjustment! It looked like he was getting a little massage. Right away I saw him start to tilt his head to the left and every week he's been making more progress thanks to the adjustments. He will even sleep with his head turned to the ledt sometimes now, which is a HUGE deal for us. We started the adjustments shortly before he turned 2 months and he is now 3 months old. I highly recommend Dr. Renee. She is not pushy like some chiropractors I've seen in the past. She is so calming and efficient. I'm in and out of my appointment within 15 minutes. read more

I was in a small car accident recently. I was referred to Dr. Renee by a close friend. The office is very clean and well decorated I might add. I was kind of scared at the thought of a chiropractor, but Dr. Rennee place my mind and heart at ease.I found a sense of trust with her. Several movements later, I found myself pain free and so thankful. My first experience with her was so wonderful, Dr. Renee is a true gem. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Renee since about 24 weeks pregnant - I am now 32 weeks and feel incredible! I highly recommend seeing her - she is a true healer and magician. read more

I've been under the care of Dr. Renee for a little more than 3 months now and I've never felt better. Dr. Renee has truly changed my life for the better. With a warm and welcoming office and friendly practice, Dr. Renee provides the healing touch you need for any pains. My back wouldn't allow me to run a mile and now, after working with Dr. Renee, I can run 3. I never thought it would be possible to run without pain again, yet here I am. If you are experiencing any pain, let Dr. Renee take care of you. You'll be changed for the better! read more

Dr. Renee is warm and welcoming, she is a natural healer with a fun but gentle energy. Her office is spacious, beautiful, and centrally located in Berkeley, and (most importantly) there is free designated parking! She has all the most current technology when it comes to chiropractic care, including (great for me) a Zaaz machine. Before seeing Dr. Renee I'd heard from other chronic pain sufferers that it helped them immensely, and so it was an amazing coincidence that she had one and that she thought I should start using it at my appointments. I've been to chiropractors before where you feel like a number, rushed in and laid down and the chiropractor ducks in for a few seconds to adjust you and is off again. Dr. Renee definitely spent time thoroughly assessing me before making any adjustments, and always checks in with me about how I'm doing. As a woman, I also think it is great to have a woman chiropractor. Definitely check out Dr. Renee. Although I believe she specializes in pregnancy, I think Dr. Renee would also be great for anyone with chronic pain who hasn't yet considered chiropractic work, or anyone looking for a more wellness-focused, personable experience in their chiropractor's office. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Renee. She has this genuine warmth and sunshine - she really knows how to make you feel welcome! I am 8 months pregnant and have been seeing her since I was 4 months pregnant and WOW - has it made a difference. I began seeing her with a limp and pain all along my spine and especially into the right side of my body. I could hardly turn my head. Immediately I began walking in stride again. Most of the time after my adjustments I feel my baby kicking and swirling around because it has so much more room in my pelvic bowl - so awesome! I not only feel better physically, but because of that I have been able to adapt to my body's changes with a lot more ease and confidence. I am still rock climbing and doing yoga because I feel good in my skin and bones! I also feel a lot more confident to give birth all natural (and at home with a midwife) because she has educated me on how pelvic alignment helps the pelvis to open optimally while in labor. She takes care of all ages - prenatal/maternity, post-natal, pediatrics, adult and elderly. She uses radio graphic technology (unless you're pregnant of course) to see precisely what is happening in my spine and I appreciate her specificity. She is using my radio graphs from before I was pregnant. Again, I highly recommend her. Give her a call and see what she thinks she can do for you! read more

Dr. Renee is an authentic, caring human being. Her treatment brings out that characteristic in her patients. Nurturing, unflappable, and supportive, she truly is among "the best." Thanks, Dr. Renee. Kathleen Miss my Zazz time, too! read more

I was skeptical of going to a Chiropractor. The great thing about Renee is she will evaluate your situation before doing any adjustments to determine if chiropractic therapy is right for you. PT got me back on my feet and helped manage the pain, but the back specialists I saw just wanted to do surgery because that is their normal course of action - not because it would fix my back or because surgery has a high success rate. Renee clearly explains anatomy, body mechanics, and how the healing process works. She is good about communicating what she will be doing. I can feel improvements in my posture and I have less tension. She is always positive, upbeat, and supportive. Combining adjustments with message and core strengthening helps the adjustment last and I am seeing the long terms results more quickly. This is what has worked for me; sometimes you need a unique solution and Renee can help you find it. If you have questions or have any reservations, you should talk to her! read more

I love this place. It is bright and sunny and Dr Renee is so sweet and cheerful and easygoing. Even though she is a slight person, she can move your bones around. She knows exactly how to get your back into shape, and uses x-rays and computer analysis to really understand your back and help you to understand it, also to help you chart and see your progress. She is definitely more on the technical side of the chiropractor spectrum (as opposed to Network care which is completely different). My whole family sees her now, including my daughter who is a dancer and has ankle, knee, and hip issues. We all look forward to it when we have an appointment with her on the horizon. read more

I've been working very closely with Dr. Renee to try to readjust the vertebrae in my back. I was in an accident over a year ago, but only started having severe pain about two months ago making it nearly impossible for me to walk or bend over. In the height of my pain I saw Kaiser several times and was prescribed pain killers, anti-inflammatory medication and eventually they gave me some drug that is supposed to "block neruo transmissions to kill nerve endings and make your body not feel the pain". Nothing against hospitals, but that was the point that I lost it and decided to seek medical care elsewhere and found Lotus Family Chiropractic It was her x-rays (Kaiser never took any) that made it very clear what was going on with my body and why I was having the pain I was having. I received my first adjustment from her and felt instant relief. I have now been seeing her 3x a week for just short of two weeks and feel like I'm a human being again. While Dr. Renee does not accept Kaiser insurance (I don't blame her), her prices are very affordable ranging from $35-$45/appointment depending on if you purchase a package or not. I highly recommend Dr. Renee to anyone who's body needs a little TLC. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Bartlett weekly for a few months and am impressed by a number of things. First is the attention she put into creating a very pleasing and calming environment. Just walking into the office helps one feel better. She takes a low frequency x-ray before beginning a treatment series and goes over it with the patient prior to working on them. Her adjustments are gentle and thorough. To top it off, she has a positive and upbeat personality. read more

Dr. Renee has taken amazing care of me during my pregnancy. She knows exactly where and how to address the needs of my changing body gently and with precision. Being in care with her has helped my first pregnancy be one of comfort and ease. I haven't had any of the symptoms most women complain about and my body has felt amazing throughout the pregnancy. Dr. Renee has a clear warm presence and really helped me understand the importance of chiropractic care for having optimal pregnancy and birth. She is a powerful and loving healer!!! read more

I have experienced back pain for a few years and was especially freaked out when I found out I was expecting twins. Sure enough, my back had me in tears by my second trimester and loosing major sleep. I was worried about the impact of chiropractic care on my babies and am so grateful I went to Dr. Renee. Dr. Renee specializes in chiropractic care during pregnancy and even on the effects of chiropractic care on babies. Dr. Renee is gentle, warm, friendly, and pays attention. She asked questions about my pain and experience with check-ins, flexibility, and conscientious care. The chiropractic care I received helped me to walk/move more easily, sleep, and continue to be able to work during my pregnancy. Also, my babies were both optimally positioned for delivery for the duration of my care, and they did not hang out in weird, uncomfortable places. Basically, my back and hips were aligned and made plenty of room for my babies. Besides looking 60 lbs more gorgeous, my body was so different during pregnancy and it was relieving to go to a specialist, whom I felt safe with. I believe the care I received with Dr. Renee also helped me go full-term with twins, as my body was healthy and experiencing less stress for the duration of my pregnancy. I highly recommend Dr. Renee, she has such a kind, patient-centered approach. My pain was drastically diminished and attended to, my pregnancy was so much easier to handle with Dr. Renee's thoughtful interventions. read more

I've been debating writing this review for a while, but wanted to give fair warning to expecting moms/new moms about Renee's pracitce. First, I think she's a fine chiropractor. I've never seen anyone else, but I did get some pain relief due to pubic symphysis and some bulging discs. This review is becuase of the emotional scarring that was caused by visiting this practice. I saw Renee for months while I was pregnant and postpartum. I was very open about my struggles (c-section (had one), breastfeeding (supplemented with formula), sleeping (baby wouldn't so we sleep trained)) and seemingly always got support and compassion from Renee. Then one day some new signage in her office shows up discussing the benefits of chiropractic work on infants due to "trauma and stress" caused by vaccines, formula, sleep training, etc., all the things that by choice or circumstance we had engaged in. This "trauma" and "stress" is all based on psueoscience BS and really makes moms like me feel judged and tries to shame certain decisions we made or circumstances we've been placed in. I also totally don't feel comfortable bringing my baby into an office that espouses not vaccinating children (she told me that actually it's the vaccinated kids that pose more risk to the unvaccinated ones! oh please....). Anyways, I just want to warn any not super crunchy mamas out there that this may not be the practice for you if you don't want to feel judged and ashamed. read more

I was in a terrible car accident a few months ago. My regular chiropractor couldn't work with me due to not accepting insurance and so I was left needing to find a new doctor for extended care... After a few less than stellar experiences with other chiropractors, I found Dr. Renee and immediately knew that she is who I wanted to work with. A few points worth mentioning: - Her practice is her own! Support a local, independent, woman owned business! - Dr. Renee does her own x-rays (not only is that awesome, but it also means no expensive referral costs for x-rays!) - She is incredibly detail oriented and organized which allows you to really learn a lot about what is happening inside of your body! - Her adjustments are calculated and precise - she won't just adjust you the same on both sides (as some Drs do) but works with your vertebrae so that you can feel being adjusted *right* where you need it. - Package deals to reduce per visit cost (great for anyone who knows they need long term care) - ZAAZ machine to get things flowing after your appointment - Visiting Dr. Renee is like visiting an old friend who is really happy to see you improve - she's an incredibly sweet human being and I get the feeling that she really loves her patients! * I moved out of Berkeley and am no longer seeing Dr. Renee but I am so grateful that I found her practice and her services have highly elevated my expectations for Chiropractic. Thank you, Dr. Renee!* read more

Dr Renee is the best. Highly recommend, especially for pregnant women!

Dr Renee is amazing. I was first impressed by her willingness to work with my schedule, caring demeanor and the time she spent evaluating my situation and explaining a treatment plan. I was referred to her by a friend and could not be more pleased with her overall care. I was having pretty intense pain after being in a car accident. Dr Renee has decreased my pain, educated me on the many benefits of chiropractic care and by getting treated by her, I am confident I will be pain free in no time. We are making great progress. I highly recommend her for chiropractic wellness. Thank you Lotus Chiropractic...Dr. Renee! :) read more

Dr. Renee has helped me heal to be more comfortable and able to physically do what I used to love. I broke two vertebrae in my spine 7 years ago and have been in and out of physical therapy with multiple procedures for back pain.
