We stayed nearby and rented bikes from here. Rental prices not cheap although reflect the area. Giving these guys 5 stars because... Rented bikes and headed off with my son towards Montauk lighthouse. About halfway my back tire went flat so I was kind of screwed... was not sure what to do- called the bike place, a young guy from Jamaica drove straight out and was there in about 30 mins. He sorted the bike out in formula one pit stop timing. He was super nice. They saved the day! read more

love how I gifted the owner 2 nice 'Specialized' brand bikes from the 90s for Free last summer, worth hundreds of dollars, and then when I come to ask a favor to fix my girlfriends brakes on her bike just now he says I need new tires so I'm like ok ( thinking he'll give me a deal ) he bills me $130 bucks!! $25 of it for ten minutes of labor , so petty, charging me when I gave you hundreds in free inventory?! Gave me zero leeway or hook up. Not how you return a favor or kindness. I figured if you give you'll always have, not in this case! Sorry but you did me dirty guy! Awesome friendly couple ready to just get out the tools and help you. Very knowledgeable, kind and helpful just tell it like it is. If you need anything related to their service you should go there they won't steer you wrong. I bought a panniers bag and a bike rack, I had my brakes fixed and while he was fixing my brakes he found my wheel was loose. Such nice people couldn't be happier with them. I will go back. great rental SUP experience. while hourly rentals aren't offered, two different 3 hour time windows are. The company took care of 2 SUP rentals. affordable prices. I could not pick on the quality of the boards but wasn't a problem. Every step of the way they were helpful and accommodating for all the questions I asked. First class experience. I called, requested 2 bikes, and they were delivered two days later. Then they came and picked them up. Easy peasy. Though, during busy season they have limited supply so you need to call in advance. And delivery is extra! read more

My friends and I rented bikes here last weekened. It was a great experience. The service was super friendly and welcoming and our bikes were comfortable and worked well. We were a lititle late returning them and it was no issue at all. I won't hesitate to return to rent bikes here again and will probably do so again this summer. Recommended! read more

Hi Friends, I've used Amagansett Beach & Bike to purchase basic bicycle stuff while I'm in town, as well as to have maintenance. The owner/manager is a great operator, more than once telling me, "just wait" when a repair would take him just a few minutes, once even leaving a different bike he was working on. At the start of the season, I bought my Serotta bicycle in for a new Sram ETAP drivetrain and a general tuneup. Even though it was Andy's first time installing the ETAP, he got it right the first time. I picked up the bike and it was better than new. Since then, I have brought it back twice for routine maintenance, due to my high weekly mileage and the sandy, salty conditions in the area. Both times, I dropped it off in the morning and got it back the same day even though it was at the height of the season. Love this place. They deliver and pick up bikes from wherever you're staying in the Hamptons and I find this extremely useful. When we arrived at the house, the bikes were already there and we were able to leave the area without having to drop them off which afforded us the opportunity to get in a morning ride the day we left. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. The bikes are utilitarian and easy to ride. Yes they're expensive, but what isn't in the Hamptons?! We were staying with a relative so lodging was free so we splurged on bikes for the week for the family. We used them every day and they were fun to have. read more

This is a wonderful bike store. I've been bringing my bikes there for years and they are always very helpful and do excellent work at reasonable prices. This time, however, was the best: they not only fitted my bike with a higher handlebar right there as I waited, the person who did that helped me put my new bike rack (which I had bought elsewhere but couldn't figure out how to install) on my car and showed me how to work it. We rented a SUP and a double kayak from Amagansett Beach and Bike Co and overall had a very good experience. Friendly staff in their store on Montauk Hwy were able to find us a SUP to rent at the last minute on a busy holiday weekend, and then delivered everything to the boat launch on Landing Lane right away. The staff at the boat launch don't appear to know much about kayaking/SUPing so be sure to ask all of your questions at the store. For example, is your paddle the right length for your height? If not, do they have a paddle that is the correct length? If your new to the sport, try a lesson rather than just a rental. read more

Bought two Canondale bikes here 3 years ago. Stopped by during my ride today as noticed I had no front brakes! Staff took me instantly with a smile, adjusted brakes, filled my tires, and would not take a penny. Old fashioned, super service, and the shop has a very cool vibe to boot. 2.5 miles away from the Montauk lighthouse my gear leveler broke off & and I didn't think anyone this far out east could handle such a significant repair job. I was greeted in the parking lot by an older gentleman, who I assumed was the owner. Without hesitation and my bike still on my bike rack, he proceeded to take off my rear wheel and assess the damage. Within 5 minutes, he was straightening a key piece out on a vice, while his colleague found a new gear leveler in storage. Within a 1/2 hour, my bike & vacation were back. On a recent beautiful weekend in Amagansett our friends and family were looking for bikes to rent and we discoveredt the Amagansett Beach and Bicycle shop. It's located across the street from Brent's Deli on Montauk Highway. Wow what a shop!! The owners, Lee and Barbara Oldak were awesome! They had everything we needed, bikes of all sizes and types. Even for the kids. They are experts at fitting you with a bike and they even supplied us with helmets and bike locks. We had no idea where to bike but Lee and Barbara gave us a great route to the beach (very close) and a scenic route to see some of the BIG houses along the water. Of course I had so much fun that I ended up buying a couple of bikes to keep at the house. I really enjoyed everything about the store. Great people easy shopping.
