I went for a bike ride with my friends from Shelter Island to Sag Harbor and back. As we were on our way back, my bike pedal fell off and we had to rush to the Sag Harbor Cycle Company. Although the issue was not easily fixable, they helped us place the pedal back into its socket completely for free allowing us to safely get back home. Great service! read more

Save your time and money and go to Rotations in Southampton instead. My husband and I have been customers here at Sag Harbor Cycles for bike purchases and repairs since it opened. After too many poor customer experiences, we will never be returning. If you like to overpay for poor service, this is your shop. If you want to call in a simple kid's bike order, and have the staff people completely lose your first order, then bungle your next order, then sell your bike to another customer due to poor staff communication-- such that your kid is sad for two weeks waiting for another bike replacement--this is your shop. If you'd like to look at limited floor options and seek out sales help staff who can't be bothered...this is your shop. Joe & staff got my simple order for a kid's bike so spectacularly wrong and confused that I will never come here again. They ordered a standard kid's Giant bike for which I provided my full payment details on four separate occasions (they kept calling me back and losing my payment information or forgot the order details). The first two times, they either never put the order in, or sold it to someone else, and apologized and kept apologizing.... yet never offered a way to make it right. Unfortunately in the Hamptons, location is everything. Even when you're an incompetent bike shop that would never stay in business if there was a competitor nearby, this one stays because it's the only game in town. Also unfortunately for them, customer service is everything. I am one regular customer who will be heading elsewhere. read more

Horrid! Tried multiple times to purchase bikes and accessories. Ended up buying many bikes at Rotations in Southampton. The ownership at Sag Harbor seems focused on making the experience awful Stay away unless you want to experience high prices and awful service read more

Received knowledgeable, courteous, prompt service. Jason promised to build a bike in inventory posthaste, so I could test ride it. He kept his promise. He and his assistant, Logan, answered my questions and adjusted the seat height and position all for the test ride. There was no sales pressure. This place is the WORST!! They do not know the first thing about fixing or tuning up bikes. I have spent hundreds of dollars here, only to find out later that they put the brake pads on backwards, messed up the gear shifting, and did not repair the inner tube on one of the bikes. They took two weeks to "complete the repairs." As it turned out, my bikes needed more repairs after I had Sag Harbor Cycle Company work on them. On top of that, they made snide comments about one of my bikes being "cheap." Don't go here. read more

My wife had a blow out on her tire (road bike) and we were in & out of here with a new tire all done in 5-10 minutes on a busy summer Saturday. The tire was a bit and there are no discounts for belonging to a club or organization but hey it's the Hamptons. Nice guys in the shop, great parts, great service. $21.65 is not a fee charged by a bike shop that considers a bicycle "damaged". It is a petty fee, by a petty shop, owned by petty people.

I accompanied a friend to this store. The only salesperson in the store was at the cash register. He was not helpful and we ultimately left the store in frustration. Too bad, We had liked this store in the past and had made purchases here. I guess we met up with a grim sales person who was obviously not into his job. read more

I was very disappointed when the bike shop on Main St. closed because I thought I would have to travel all the way to either Southampton or East Hampton to have my bicycle serviced from now on. I was wary at first of a shop in its infancy, but they have proved to exceed all of my expectations in both the work they've done to my bike, as well as the assistance and guidance they gave me during purchases. I am happy to have a local shop I am comfortable going to that's easy to get to and I will most definitely be returning there in the future. read more
