Last year I wasn't happy with them over processing of my homeowners insurance but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This year I got a new car and instead of doing what I called for, processing the paperwork for the new car, the person on the line insisted on gaslighting me about my coverage. After I denied any further coverage I got an attitude like was crazy for not having more coverage. I didn't call to be sold to. Later, I had an auto issue and I called to just let them know about it. Though I was clear that I was not filing a claim they sent me there anyway. When I explained why I was calling I was told that I had to file a claim. Long story short, there is no law requiring I do any such thing and the person later admitted she should have said it is recommended. This, and a few other things, makes me think they aren't on their insured's side.

I made an appointment online to renew my driver's license. Lowell was chosen because it had open…read moreappointments. I squeezed my tiny car into a tiny parking space in front of the AAA building. I was greeted by one of two gatekeepers who ordered me to produce my birth certificate. She announced that my certificate was lacking a seal. That's because the state issued photostats in that era and didn't affix a seal. She ignored the certificate number at the top of the page but conferred with the other gatekeeper who also ignored the certificate number. I was ordered to get a new birth certificate from New York City for the license renewal to go forward. I was later notified by AAA that birth certificates must display the certificate number for the document to be valid. The original birth certificate I presented clearly showed certificate numbers in the upper right hand corner of the document. Cost: $41.00 for a new birth certificate 50.00 license renewal (completed at another AAA location.) 15.00 for gas to and from Lowell Total $106.00 My recommendation is that people avoid the Lowell AAA RMV.

I walked into their location excited about a new purchase of a car to leaving angry and upset. I was looking to do insurance for my vehicle along with registration and plates. Darlene would not allow for plates to be done because it was to late in the day, explaining it takes 45 minutes. When I asked about them closing at 5 she told me they stop doing plates at 4. This was a lie after speaking to her manager who explained they stop doing plates at 4:30. I showed up at the location at 4:15! She was not willing to assist me ,even after me explaining if anything it would be 5 mins after 5. Even to the point of her telling me I could take my stuff and go somewhere else I didn't need to be there. SMH .. Long story made short go see Aggie in Lawrence, wonderful customer service and worth the drive. Darlene in Lowell is very negative, two thumbs way down!
