We decided to celebrate my mother's birthday on Saturday night at Amarone. The entire evening was just amazing from beginning to end. The food is amazing, ordered chicken parmigiana, osso bucco, veal Marsala, pasta dishes, 2 different kinds of meatballs and 2 salads! Amir helped us make the best food choices and his recommendations were perfect for our family. He surprised my mom with a birthday celebration cake and the singer sang my mother a lovely happy birthday song! I hate places that cater to pet owners that can't leave their Dalmatians at home. And the fact that one of their own employees wouldn't eat their own cuisine spoke volumes. Im a retired US Marine and an Engineer and this place was rated high in the list. I was really upset due to we called to set a reservation and the one lady that picked up said no need reservations. This restaurant is fantastic. The ambiance is pleasant, and the pizza is delicious! The crust is light and flavorful. They use really great ingredients and top the pizzas generously. They even have organic lemonade! And it was fresh and yummy. Service is courteous and friendly. We are coming back to try the pastas. Wednesdays are 50%off bottles of wine. Actually started a review before but never finished it. I love this place. I've been here a few times before. The food is phenomenal. The risotto is mouth watering. Their pasta is honestly the best in North Miami. I got carbonara this time and finished the whole plate. I had dinner at Amarone last evening. After a small confusion over the reservation I was seated at a nice table with a view of the entire restaurant. The veal picatta I ordered was good. I hadn't had veal picatta in while and it was tender and a good sized portion. The sauce could have used a touch more lemon, I didn't really taste it. But the capers added to the flavor and I would order it again. The mashed potatoes that I had with the veal and they were light and fluffy. If you go, order the house chianti. Came here on a Sat night about 940p...found this place on both Yelp and Google...checked out the reviews and thought it would be a decent place to try!since it was 4.5 stars out of 5. We were immediately greeted...The great thing was that it wasn't crowded and we had an area to ourselves..it wasn't loud to where we couldn't carry a conversation. It was dim which made it a little intimate which was great. Our waiter was nice and kind...seemed she had a long night. For appetizers we ordered the garlic cheese bread which was amazing, with a side of Alfredo sauce to dip the bread in. For entree I didn't even order what I originally saw and went against my better judgement and ordered the chicken Marsala and Chicken piccata which we were initially trying to order something that had cream sauce. Unfortunately the Chicken Marsala had a red thick spaghetti type sauce and mushrooms w/ spaghetti style pasta (which were one of the options from Mash Potatoes, Rigatoni or Gnocchi). The Chicken Piccata came with a thin Piccata sauce and we chose Mash Potatoes. Neither dish was what we expected...having the red sauce on the chicken Marsala I wasn't feeling it at all. It would've been good with fettuccine style pasta (if given as a pasta option). I would've liked the Chicken piccata sauce to be more flavorful and thicker... would've been better with angel hair pasta. This is my experience...i don't think I would be back if in the area again. I feel like I need to write this review because this is the third time I have visited this place and I understand that I will never go back. The people that I was with also will never go back. The first time ever I was very impressed and I was excited to have found this place because I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The second time everything became mediocre and this third time was really bad. We walked into the restaurant and it took a minute or more for someone to actually approach us even though the owner sitting there called someone over but the girls kept looking at us with stunned faces it was like they didn't understand what was going on. Then they sat us down and we checked out the menu. Ordered what we ordered. The waitress came by and told me that many other things were not available on the menu so I had to choose again I chose. She forgot to put in a salad that we ordered and said it was coming shortly but stood right next to me and put it into her system..meaning she forgot it. Then halfway into the dinner we realized that we have the wrong food anyway. We ordered one type of pasta but got something completely different. The food itself left much to be desired. It lost it's authenticity and flavors. It was greasy and done poorly to the point where we all left with stomachaches. We also ordered dessert, we got the passion fruit panna cota which at first tasted good but as you eat halfway through it had some kind of strange affect on the body. I started feeling funky and nauseous. That's how I am actually writing this, feeling nauseous too. I think the owner is kind of oblivious. He allows his staff to make all of these mistakes and it doesn't bother him at all. I also think that the price point is a bit too high for the quality of the food received. Here is why I will never go back here, as it's a total disappointment I came here as my go to place was closed and I saw a mediocre rating on Barstool, but I am local and wanted to try. This issue is the first time I've had this problem in South Florida. I ordered multiple homemade in pitcher, of Iced Teas, I'm not talking even fountain soda or anything bottled. They charge you per drink. No where do they tell you no refill, This is a New York bar trick and they do this in Europe too. Even the local Olive Garden doesn't do that too you. Amorone' You're not good enough to get away with that you need to up your game.3rd issue this was big, the waitress came over with one of those handheld computer, payment devices .. I saw her program it and she, SET IT on 20% tip. Normally that's what I give, but I don't need her to think I'm the out town"Tourista", and I'm blind to the fact, she set it and hung over to see my payment. I don't need her telling me how much I should tip. The pizza was overall ok, but again 1000 degrees pizza across the street, $6.99/$7.99, maybe better.Even Panera bread may be ewual. I will post a picture it was plain margarita but again for $15. it's equal to 2 and 1/2 New York regular slices in size that you can get for $2.50/$3.00 a piece. They have regular entrees and maybe those are better quality and maybe they have a group who enjoys the quietness of his place I have no idea, why. You don't have to take my word for it try it but bring a thick wallet. We ordered spaghetti carbonara, it came with so much pepper it was spicy, it also had a very heavy cream... the bacon was just disgustingly over fried... overall terrible carbonara We also ordered spaghetti with vongoles, pasta was overcooked... What a great find! Don't be fooled by the unassuming strip mall location! Delicious food and friendly staff. Very COVID aware as each table is separated by plastic dividers. The house Melbec and moscato were the drinks of choice as I'm a Melbec fan and it was good. I order a side of shrimp which was delicious. Sherrie ordered the parmigiana chicken and I ordered the Ossobuco di Vitelli con risita allá Milanese. You won't be disappointed. Nothing but great things to say about this new gem. Don't let it fool you being that it is located in a strip mall. From the moment we walked we were greeted warmly by Katherine, the owner. You could feel the passion and excitement she had to take care of us. She was patient and eagerly awaited to take of our order. All of the recipes come from a gentleman who is from Milan, Italy. Even the table bread was made from scratch. The menus are placed on a clipboard and were very easy to read. The wine list was extensive. We chose a moderately priced Italian Red Wine-a Merlot. The food was stupendous-like legitimately Italian, not Americanized commercial Italian. The porcini mushroom risotto was packed with flavor as well as the other entrees we had. No complaints there. Dessert was home made tiramisu. It was fluffy, creamy, light, just right. I especially liked the amount of dark cocoa powder they put on top of it. I think there was some raw brown sugar on it too which gave it this extra little added touch of crunchy texture. Timing was great as well. We didn't wait long at all for our food. It wasn't busy in the restaurant as we went relatively early-like a late lunch/early dinner. The decor was so cute too! Like a typical Italian eatery you would fine in Rome or Florence. It felt so warm and homey. The bar was beautiful. I particularly liked the flowers they had in a mason jar on each table. I had to touch them to see if they were real and they were. It's an art to put a bouquet of flowers together and they masterfully did that too! Such great attention to detail. Something really unique and creative is the fact that they use a Corona beer bottle for the olive oil dispenser on the table. Very smart! It's little details like that that make a restaurant stand out! Even the salt and pepper shakers seemed like they were handmade and crafted specifically for the restaurant. You can tell how much effort they put into this place. In a restaurant, every little detail counts to make the experience great and worthwhile. I wish it was closer to where I live but I'd be willing to take a ride over to Aventura to dine there it's that good! I forgot to mention they also have pizza! I'm sure that's great too! I used to love this place, but unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down and the prices have gone up. It's super overpriced now, for average food. I've only dined in a couple of times and usually order takeout. The meatballs on the last pizza I got were greasy and had an off taste. This was the first time I didn't enjoy the pizza there. Also, a simple pasta dish is almost $30. Same with the chicken Marsala, which last time I got it the chicken was tough and a weird texture. I will probably keep going back a couple more times but for the price, you could be sitting at a restaurant in South Beach watching the pasta being made in front of you. read more

Let me say this. One of my favorite spot for many reasons. I am writing this review after trying this restaurant 5 times or kore already and felt compelled to really high light what have I enjoyed most. 1- food is very delicious and haven't had anything like that in miami 2- the owner cooks himself and that when you know he cares and does his best and for that the food always comes out excellent! 3- severs are quiet professional and attentive 4- the atmosphere is relaxed abs the light is is just right. I have tried the mid sea food and steaks few times. The stakes are all different and all amazing. I called to place an order and the girl kept sighing when we asked her a question about picking up an order which took no more than literally 10 seconds to answer. Afterwards, my boyfriend asked her to hold on really quick while he asked me what I wanted (which i had pointed out on the menu for him to read for her in that moment) and she interrupted to tell him to call back when he is ready... as if we weren't ready to order in that moment. He is not psychic, I had to obviously tell him my order so he could reiterate it to the lady on the phone. Absolutely amazing! This little gem opened up just three weeks ago by two sweet Italian gentlemen. I can rave about it all but I'll try to reign it in. Food: we started off with a mushroom pizza. The crust was phenomenal and authentic. The brick pizza oven flavor makes all the difference. The mushrooms are marinated in advance of the baking and are heavenly. Cheese and tomato ratio: perfection. Next up a creation to enhance all your senses: smoked salmon pizza. It was a pizza Bianco, so no tomato sauce - 4 cheeses, cream cheese and white cheesy yumminess married to the deep smokey salmon with hints of scallion. Amazing. Next porcini risotto: again, hard for me to get the words through my sated food coma, but the ratio of mushrooms to cheese with the perfect slight almost crunch of the risotto was a massive success. In my 7 years of living in south Florida this is the first risotto I would love to marry. Or even go out on a date with. We then had the flounder. So simple, clean, divine. It was just battered with some egg and flour, lightly fried with a perfect mashed potato and sautéed broccoli. We were joined by my brother, sister in law and nephews from nyc. It's always hard for me to one up our hometown restaurants when they visit. However this restaurant made me look really good! They prepared a simple pasta and butter for my nephews as soon as my brother asked for it. They accommodated the kids with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. So sweet to us all! But wait! The dessert! Have I completely lost my mind?!! Let's talk about this: a lemoncello cake. Some insanely fluffy Italian buttery pound cake with a healthy douse of liquor to heat up your belly. And a flourless chocolate cake which was insane. How they make a flourless cake so tall is a feat considering they are a savory and not a sweet focused place. They hit it out of the park. Let's begin this review with how I found this place. My partner and I were in the area visiting a friend and stumbled across this restaurant based on seven, five star reviews. We took our chances because we love Italian food. Upon arriving we were greeted by their friendly staff and soon to be our waitress "Carolina". We requested a table further from other guest and it was granted. Shortly after, the owner (Andres) came by and sat with us to go over suggestions, and such. We were blown away by the menu. The menu was a bit complicated for me but Andres was very helpful. Appetizer: We started off with a Cesar salad (amazing) and Burrata and Prosciutto" amazing !!!!!!! I ordered The spaghetti carbonara and he ordered the double truffle pesto pasta. The food was out of this world. Tastebuds orgasmic! & my partner ordered the double truffle pesto pasta. The wine I ordered was a red Cabernet house and it was very good. The price is reasonable beyond measure. The only con is the wine was not served at the correct temperature but the service and food was so good that I could not knock the star. I came here with my cousins last Sunday who have been here before. I had the veal cordon-bleau. I have to say, I've never in my life tasted anything like this sauce. It is AMAZING! Listen Linda, If you're looking for true authentic Italian food, look no further. I was sooo hungry. My stomach was touching my back and I found this place on yelp. Thanks to my fellow yelpers. It's in a plaza but the name stands out really bold. You have to wear a mask while going in. The restaurant is immaculate. It is very very clean and that made me comfortable. Everyone was welcoming and seemed glad to have people there. We ordered bread as a starter...sooooo good My husband had spaghetti with meatballs...let me tell yall....it was the best hands down.
