Pizza with butter basil flakes, not pepper!
    Ana F.

Not the worst but I don't understand who's says it's the best. It was extremely frustrating that my husband asked for a margarita, asked if they have fresh basil and then when he picked up the order it was dry bitter basil flakes! Only for the lady at the front to tell him it was "pepper!" It was NOT! The meatballs portion is insulting for the price and nothing to be blown away by. The second star was only given because, they were "fast!" With the order.

Cute and clean restaurant in North Miami. Service was amazing and coffee was fresh. Had the Queen T and Mediterranean avocado toast!!!! Super delicious. Friendly environment. Will come back.

First and foremost, I was excited to try their food since my aunt loves their stuffed gnocchi. I haven't been more disappointed from a restaurant this bad in a long time. Even my delivery driver said the establishment was a mess. They gave us the food in large cafeteria style Styrofoam plates. The meal didn't fill it at all. They didn't even give him a bag. We didn't get napkins, forks, cheese , bread ( we ordered pasta). What were we supposed to eat with our hands? I have attacheahe picture of my meal. I had the carbonara it's was $19. It didnt have onions , the cream sauce wasn't creamy and the panchetta was hard. Never in my life would I return here. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I had the grilled provolone & garlic shrimp appetizers. Both were delectable; I'll be thinking about the garlic shrimp for a while. The skit steak was incredibly tender & had a perfect char in the edges. The ribeye was juicy, tender & flavorful. I didn't even need to add salt. They come with honey mustard, panko or bbq sauce for dipping but I found them to overpower the steaks. This is a pricey place but i think you get what you pay for. The value is high. I'll be back!

We were very welcomed walking through the door. We were offered seating inside or out. The Floridians feel the weather is too muggy to sit outside, we were more than happy to do so. A word of caution, you are on a very busy street when you sit outside, so there is a good deal of traffic noise. To begin, they bring out a plate of four types of bread, along with a tray with green and black olives and a red tangy spread. This was quite good. We started out with an empanada appetizer. You have a choice of four kinds, we went with spinach. Before the appetizer arrived, the waitress brought out a plate of bread and olives. We are off to an excellent start. When the empanadas showed up, we were provided 8 cups of dips, six of which were different toppings to put on the appetizer. We tried them all. From barbecue sauce to salt, hummus, and a tomato based sauce, we had fun tasting the different flavors. For the entree, both of us went with the Outside skirt steak. We went this route as it was recommended by the waitress as one of their more signature dishes. We went with it prepared, medium. A short time later, the meal arrived, both of which were the 14 ounce portion. They do offer a larger portion if you're super hungry. The steak was slightly overcooked, but not enough to ruin the mood. The steak was flavorful, but a bit on the fatty side. I get the fat as it adds flavor so it really was not an issue. The meals come à la carte. So we ordered steamed broccoli and sweet potato fries. Overall good experience. A place I would return to again.

I also ordered a Spicy Chicken Taco bowl to go for the next day as well. Again, flavors were immense and so incredibly good. Everyone at my gym loved the food and their green lemonade juice mixture they make is also beyond delicious! If you come across this truck at an event or need some fire tacos at a private event, the Taco Negro food truck is your best bet. Thanks again to this wonderful crew for coming out to our event. Very upscale, classy and romantic. We were seated in a very comfortable plush booth and were greeted by our server, Amalya, who was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. We planned to share a few appetizers and a meal. We ordered the Japanese Gyoza tray, which was delicious and satisfying. For our main dish, we ordered the Lobster Spaghetti and soon as we took a bite, we both said "Mmmmm!". It was very good with perfect seasoning and nice sized lobster pieces. Good pick. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. They have a tree in the middle that gives it an outdoor open feel. And an incredible wine display in the back. Our waitress, from Portugal, did a great job of explaining the menu to us and guiding us on what to order. We started off with the Bolinhos de Bacalhau which are cod fritters and OMG they were sooo good! These tasted identical to the ones we've eaten in Lisbon. It comes with the classic pairing of black eyed peas which are awesome when eaten together. We also tried the Chouriço Assado which the presentation when its brought to the table is a treat itself. It comes out on a flaming pig and then its sliced tableside. Our waitress recommended trying the chorizo with the piri piri sauce which is slightly spicy and it was delicious. It added another layer of flavor. For entree we got the Paelha Marinheira which was absolutely amazing. First off, its a huge portion and comes piping hot. Each bite was full of seafood. We added the lobster which was perfection. It's great to share between 2 people. For dessert we ended with the pasteis de nata and its great because it brings 2 pastries and we paired it with ice cream. It makes for the perfect sweet treat without being too much. The pasteis de nata is served slightly warm and is perfect with the cool ice cream. Overall great restaurant for some Portuguese cuisine.

For dessert, I had to get the famous dessert of Portugal, pastel de nata, which is a mini egg custard tart. It tasted wonderful, but was different from the traditional pastel de nata because it had cinnamon and powdered sugar on top, and personally I like the traditional plain version better. My port (sweet wine) was a delicious accompaniment. Service was very attentive. Interior is small and cozy. Plenty of parking.

Bye Bye Houston's Aventura…read more I've been a customer of Houston's Aventura for many years. For a long time, my friends and I used to come here every Friday. Unfortunately, over time the service declined to the point where it felt like they were doing everything possible to make us uncomfortable and rush us out. Eventually, they succeeded -- we stopped coming altogether. After a long break, I decided to give the restaurant another chance today. That was a mistake. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye, and when it arrived, the meat was extremely tough. I brought this to their attention, and the manager came over and apologized -- but that was it. No replacement dish was offered, and the item was not removed from the bill. An apology alone does not fix a bad dining experience, especially at this price point. This visit confirmed how far Houston's Aventura has fallen. I live in Aventura, and I constantly hear people talking about how poorly customers are being treated at this location. Based on our experiences, my family and I have decided we will not return. Final thoughts: Houston's Aventura is seriously damaging its reputation. The service and food quality no longer match what this restaurant used to be or what it charges. If you enjoy this style of restaurant, I highly recommend J. Alexander's instead. Equal or better quality, excellent service, and outstanding food -- including thin, crispy fries like Houston's used to have, great artichokes, ribeye, and baby back ribs. Truly excellent. Bye bye, Houston's.
