A friend invited me here this weekend, we were excited knowing that it was new. We saw the beautiful pictures on social media. Unfortunately, we had a huge let down but are willing to give it another chance and give it some time to warm up since they are only 2 weeks old. The restaurant is beautiful inside with a decent outdoor patio. Lots of blues, gold hues and intimate vibes. Service was terrible and if you read my reviews, you know I never say this. It wasn't our lovely waiters fault (Veronica) she was amazing. However, the entire team lacked leadership and training. They all seemed confused but the managers were scolding them in front of the customers and not helpful at all. I disliked seeing that so much. It's embarrassing to the employee and person dining. They should have pulled the waitress to the side instead. They forgot my drink, I received it at the end of the meal. Service took forever and the person next to me got served raw duck in which she returned and they brought back the same duck that had a bite on it cooked instead of getting a new one. On to the food. Here is where it gets better and the reason they got 3 stars because the service alone was 1. We ordered the following: Taquitos Peruanos- purple corn tortilla, spicy tuna (wasn't spicy) avocado & mango gel. We loved this appetizer. The mango gel was yummy. I would order this again. Conchas a la Batayaki - dynamite sauce, chalaquita scallop, sweet potato. Was a different more modern take on this peruvian dish. It was good. Arroz a la Chiclayana - duck breast, cilantro fried rice, avocado, egg, squash, chocolate. If you like duck this is good. Luckily mine was cooked well. Ceviche clasico - classic ceviche. It was good but not my favorite. Dessert: Suspiro limeno- lemon custard style dessert, i loved this. We forcefully had to park in Valet. I have no idea if they have guest parking because the restaurant is on the bottom of a residential building i did not see extra parking spaces. Valet was $14.

at first restaurant was very empty and we disn't like the vibe. then the waitress and her assistant approach to us , and everything change. the music at background was cool the service was amazing. drinks are tasty and the most important , the food was good , dishes are really large. overall we will go back again. It was intimate , quiet. the desert by the way was owsome. This chef ‍ got the touch.

The food is great and the service is as good. Very nice ambiance to have a delicious meal with friends and family. I strongly recommend it

This is my second time at UMA! The first time we had an amazing experience. Our server Ximena was very attentive, kind and professional. All the dishes she recommended were delicious! Since our experience the first time was wonderful, we decided to come back again. The presentation is so unique and the food tastes as great as the presentation looks! I will keep recommending this restaurant to family and friends!

It's a full restaurant and lounge. By the looks of one of the tables, there seems to have a been a sumptuous party earlier. We had a round of espresso - I even ordered it in Russian ("Dva kofe, pozhaluysta") and enjoyed a little bit of Russian and Turkish (?) music. I tried to ask the DJ if he was taking requests (GSPD or Skurt) but was declined. I would definitely want to come back, try out some of the food, cocktails (and practice my language skills)

Still, they did a solid job making the outdoor seating feel inviting with nicely arranged patio furniture and decor that creates a more comfortable atmosphere. Just keep in mind that the patio sits along a pedestrian arcade area, so expect people constantly passing by during your meal. Service was good overall -- attentive enough with no major complaints, but nothing particularly memorable either. Food, however, was a mixed experience. Maybe we didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes, but if something is on the menu, it should still meet expectations. The beef filet mignon kebab was cooked to the requested medium rare temperature, which was appreciated, but the meat itself lacked tenderness. The kutabi was decent but didn't leave much of an impression. The soup was probably the weakest part of the meal, tasting more like reheated leftovers from the previous day rather than something freshly prepared.

The cappuccino I ordered was extremely disappointing: watery and tasteless, more like diluted milk. It honestly feels like there is no proper barista who understands how to make a good cappuccino. Things only got worse -- I had to look for a server myself just to get sugar, and after asking, it still took another ~10 minutes. We waited around 25 minutes for the Philadelphia rolls, which is already quite long, but the result was even worse: there was barely any cream cheese. The taste was completely off -- just poorly made rolls with almost no filling. I visited this place about six months ago and the service was noticeably better. Now it feels like both the service and food quality have significantly declined. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

At first, I wasn't too happy -- there were no outdoor seats available and the music at the bar was super loud. We ended up sitting all the way in the back next to a wall by the bathrooms, and the vibe there was just okay. Later, we moved closer to the outside and it completely changed the experience -- I enjoyed it so much more! The drinks are a little pricey but absolutely worth it -- we had the Tikki Kill and it was delicious. The music was amazing and kept the energy up all night. The couches are super comfy, the hookah service is great (they change the charcoal without you even asking), and free parking is a huge plus. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the night even better. The only downsides are that you really need to make a reservation ahead of time for weekends, otherwise you might end up stuck at the bar or in a less atmospheric spot. Also, there are only two gender-neutral restrooms, so there can be a bit of a wait.
