I just had the best pedicure EVER with Nichole at Amaryllis Nail Spa! Amaryllis is a hidden gem in an old business park, such an amazing find. Nichole was very warm and friendly, immediately putting me at ease by explaining her sanitation practices (something I'm certain that no nail salon in every shopping center bothers to tell you!) and offering me a warm neck wrap and beverage before she got started. I appreciated her explanation of what she was going to do and welcomed the pleasant conversation and getting to know her. And appreciated that she didn't make me feel terrible for waiting way too long between pedicures - an error I won't make in the future now that I've had the Amaryllis experience! I've never been someone that goes to the same nail person every 2 weeks, because I've never been overboard thrilled with how they were done. Nichole changed all of that. She's incredible. She's so patient and thorough. I came in with raggedy nails because I'd had acrylics for years. She's helped rehabilitate my nails - and now they're long (just as long as they were with fake nails!) and healthy. She has a client for life with me, because I won't trust anyone to take care of my nails like she does. Her prices are reasonable - but her service is extremely high quality. I've been going to Nichole for about 6-8 months now and can truly vouch for what all the other Yelpers are saying about her attention to sanitation and making sure your nails are as healthy as possible. She doesn't rush and makes sure you're completely happy with the length of your nails, color choice, etc. You don't feel like she's rushing to get you out the door to service another client. I've been to other nail salons in Austin and in Los Angeles and they often make me bleed because they cut too much of my cuticles. The gel manicure at other places also barely last 10 days before chipping. With Nichole, I've gone as long as 3 weeks+ without a chip. I'm pregnant now and my manicures still last close to 14 days. I've also had regular manicures and they can last up to 12 days. At other salons, I am lucky if they survive 5 days before chipping. It's all about the nail preparation and Nichole takes her time to do them right. I have a very busy work and business travel schedule, but I still make an effort to make the drive to Nichole 1 or twice a month because I find it worth it even though going somewhere 5 minutes from my house is more convenient. I haven't gotten a pedicure yet, but really looking forward to my first one with Nichole in a month. read more
