I got a a pedicure from Jennifer and it truly was one of the best pedicures I have gotten. She was very very detailed and took her time. I haven't had this treatment in a very long time. The salon needs a good clean but I 100% recommend going here and getting a pedicure from Jennifer. read more

Received the dingiest pedicure at this establishment. Massage chair seemed like it was a decade old, the "massage" was so uncomfortable, I stopped bothering to activate it after 10 minutes. The pedicure was not in the least bit relaxing, although I got the premium package and ended up paying $50 for amateur work that started chipping within a week. Bright lights. Static radio. Avoid at all costs. This did not feel like pampering in the slightest, it felt like punishment read more

Discovered this nail salon early this year and been coming ever since. Johnny does my nails and is great at doing SNS and a thorough job at a pedi. They're all really nice here as well and prices are good for pedi ($28) and SNS is fairly standard at $50. Will continue coming back! read more

New to the area and I scheduled for the first time today. I noticed he started painting my nails without doing any service on my heels. I asked the manager and he said I was supposed to be offered a menu of add ons which my tech never offered me. The mananger's only response was "sorry, next time." I honestly felt a little discriminated against because the people around me were apparently all got offered the menu so i just left without even looking at my nails and this is what they looked like when I got to my car. Polish on my left big toe, weird angled cut on my right big toe, and the corners are cut weird. I already don't love my toes and I thought i'd do something nice for myself but I declined the lotion massage and brought my own polish so basically I paid $28 + $5 tip for my nails to be cut crooked and painted. read more

I made an appointment the morning of. I was taken to a chair as soon as I arrived. My nail tech was able to accommodate all of my requests. My nails have held up for almost 2 weeks. Their pricing is also reasonable (on par with what I paid in Onion Creek and $25 cheaper than the last place I went to on the eastside of town). read more

Gave them a second chance after not being 100% happy with my first visit, and got the most perfect dip manicure I've ever gotten from Bobby. My husband asked if they were my real nails because they looked so perfect, lol! Bobby was so thorough in making sure my nails were flawlessly filed to exact lengths and polished with no gaps (I've had that problem before at other salons). I'm so freakin' glad I decided to try this place. I've been in Austin for several years now and have moved around a bit--so I've tried a lot of different places all around town. There are lots of places but I was really impressed with this place unlike others. First off, the location is great. Right in the Brodie shopping center, you could make a great day out of it, nails and shopping! There is lots of parking, it being in a large area. And the place itself is super clean and nice. There aren't TVs or anything fancy, but it's everything you need in a nail place. Second--the people are so nice! There younger guy at the front, who I assume is a manager or owner, is really sweet and funny. There others who worked on my nails were very kind and helpful. I tend to be super indecisive on colors, and they were very patient with me, even when I switched my nail color after seeing it go on the first nail. And they an amazing job! That's third: they do a meticulous mani-pedi. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. There are also menu options for types, like basic, spa, etc and I just went for the basic. Regardless, my guy did a great foot massage--something most places lack. Like I was in heaven for a few minutes there. And the my nails look awesome, then and still a few days later. Lastly, the pricing!!! I got a gel manicure and regular-basic pedicure for $56!!! That is some of the best pricing I've found, for a great job in a clean place. Such a find!! So definitely recommend. I get a gel manicure and except for maybe two occasions in 2 years the manicure lasts a full two weeks or more (other places last me less and cost so much more!). Best experience I've had at a nail salon in such a long time. The staff was attentive, cared about the details, and took their time on my pedicure and SNS manicure. They are a small shop, so be sure to call for an appointment, but the best I've been to in Austin. I'm so glad I tried out Great Nails! I was looking for a new nail salon and have found it. Every time I have been, they take excellent care of me. I'm really happy with the results every time I come to this nail salon. My shellac pedicures last a long time and look great. I've also done two SNS Dipping manicures - the first one lasted through beach days and looked fantastic! The employees are kind and work hard to make sure you are happy with your nails once you leave! Also their prices are very reasonable. They get pretty busy some days, so make an appointment to make sure they can accommodate you. I've noticed they seem to have plenty of regular clients which is a great indication of their happy customers. Would definitely recommend Great Nails! read more

LOVE this place!!! I was previously going to another popular nail salon in South Lamar and always felt rushed out the door, usually smudging my pedicure. Great Nails on Brodie is the exact opposite and a gem to find in austin these days especially for the low price point! The staff is very friendly and the pedicure was very thorough. I am really picky as I have issues with ingrown toe nails and was more than satisfied with the quality. They currently have several COVID precautions - including masking, screens to protect the techs and requiring you to sanitize on arrival. They are located in the Brodie shopping area so plenty of parking and they also take walk-ins! read more

Now the people across from me raved about their pedicure, so it depends on who you get, but my person clearly did not know what he was doing. First he started to sand off my regular polish because he didn't realize it wasn't a gel. He had to ask several questions of other people during the thing so I know he was new. The massage was bad. Then he cut my cuticle causing it to bleed. The gel pedicure didn't cover the whole nail, leaving gaps. But I'm mostly upset that the entire polish on 2 toes came off within 48 hours. The big nail came off after 20 minutes in the pool. I thought maybe the blood from my cut cuticle prevented the gel from setting, but then the little nail came off after another 30 minutes. It's ridiculous that I paid $$$ for gel polish and it didn't last an hour in water. I tried using a different nail polish to see if it looked cool but it does not. So now I'm spending more $$$ and my time to get it all removed and redone while on vacation. I haven't approached the nail place yet because I'm on vacation, maybe they'll do something to help make it right, but I'm still upset about all these issues. Update: I'm upping to 3 stars due to owners response-- I appreciate that he responded the way he did. read more

Absolutely loved this place! Went in with incredibly uneven nails and a picture of what i had imagined and they went above and beyond to deliver. Ended up using 10 different polishes for the design and the tech (forgot to get his name) did the whole thing with a smile on his face haha. I paid $120 (+tip) for my dip manicure with the extra design & a gel pedicure which was amazing compared to how over priced many other places around here have gotten. I have really really bad luck with nails. Everyone loves Queen but every time I go, I have an awful experience. I think I've finally found a place I can be a regular! Bobby did a great job and seemed to actually care about if I was happy with the results multiple steps throughout. The only thing was I had to ask for cuticle clean up at the end (they were looking very bad). Not sure if that's not normally included but I'd expect it to be. They looked great in the end and I can't wait to go back as they get longer and see if they can give me the pointy nails of my dreams :D read more

Amazing! 10/10! Made an appointment in advance for a gel mani/basic pedi. I was greeted immediately and only waited about 5-10 for my appointment to start. I had an exact color I wanted, and while we couldn't match it exactly it was not for lack of trying. The gentleman brought me every blue in the shop and tested them all for me on a piece of paper. The manicure was efficient and relaxing. Same with the pedicure. I did the basic mani/pedi (gel polish for mani) and it didn't feel basic at all. It's been a week and my nails look the same as the day I got them done. The best part was that the technician informed me he could fill in my uneven thumb nails with a tiny bit of acrylic to make them even. I had no idea that was thing and it honestly made my day. Made my whole week. And pricing was very affordable! I didn't need a nail place but I will be back for sure. read more

My mom comes here and gave me a gift certificate so I decided to get a manicure before my vacation. It's in the shopping plaza at the other end from DSW. I made an appointment and when I walked in I got a friendly greeting and was offered water and a seat. I waited for about 10 minutes or so and then got my lovely American gel manicure. I've been going to Bobby for many years. We've done dramatic coffin nails to regular gel manicures. He is the best!! He fixes my nails up like new even when I manage to neglect them for weeks at a time. He has his own technique and I can usually go at least 3 weeks before my gel starts to chip. He makes it last. He is patient, kind and fun to talk to. I also get pedicures here and anyone is good. I'm sure we've all had our share of bad experiences at the nail salon. Hey, they're human. The nail industry is competitive and extremely busy. Bobby and Great Nails is as close to perfect as you can get!! Vanessa is great and Johnny does a great pedicure. Hell yes. I went to Elizabeth about once a month over the course of six months for a series of facials before I got married. In each session, she asked me how my skin had been acting, what kinds of activities I had been engaging in (good and bad, i.e., smoking), and created a personalized session for that appointment. She also educated me about the crappy face supplies that I had been using (without making me feel stupid) and got me started on an organic, gentle line of skin care that has done wonders for me. Yelpers have never done me wrong, so I called to book right away. My call was returned promptly and we discussed my wants/needs/options. I have never received a facial before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Orange Blossom does custom facials so Elizabeth said to come on in and we'd decide what was best. The location is in a little office park, but feels like a little old house inside. there are a couple of rooms and it is very peaceful. Elizabeth is as cute as a button, was very friendly, and instantly put me at ease. Once I wrapped up in a velvetly robe and tucked myself into the softest bed/table ever, she got to work. She decided on a deep cleanse, but did all sorts of stuff. We spoke briefly about my skin care routine and other than answer any questions I had (she was very patient, I had many, and was pretty nosy about the whole expereince), it was very relaxing. Whatever she did with paprika felt amazing, and I liked the mud mask and the facial massage. Ok, so I liked it all! I'd asked about a specific product and she introduced me to it at the end fo the session. It wasn't sale-sy at all (in fact, i'm wondering if or how she sells any product if the customer doesn't take the initative) and I got a great under eye product from Colorscience. Definitely a brand I'll look into since she gave me a sample of the Primer to try - which I did this morning - and love it! So my skin looks and feels fabulous. My pores are invisible and my face is seriously soft! This is definitely something I am going to have to save up for and do again!

The waxing itself is great; I prefer hard wax and appreciate how efficient the appointments are. I've worked with several, more senior specialists over the years, and they've all been great, friendly aestheticians. I've also had great service booking by phone or online. That said, I'm pretty sure I just had my last appointment, and the reasons have nothing to do with the quality of the service (hence why I'm still giving 5 stars). The reasons are more about how the business is run: 1. High Turnover. It's not a good sign that these facilities run through aestheticians. If you find someone you like and trust, it's highly likely that person will leave within about 2 years. Find another person, same thing. Rinse and repeat. 2. Treatment of Women. For this to be a place that primarily serves women, I've continued to hear about European Wax Center's less-than-ideal arrangements for female staff. No maternity leave? No flexible work schedules for new moms? I'll take my business elsewhere for the time being, but I do hope the owners/managers of these locations will take this feedback to heart and make some improvements.
