Don't let the positive reviews fool you they are from the previous dentist, Dr. Kitsis. It has since being taken over by another dentist. I have been coming to this dentist for over 15 years and I am now onto a new dentist after my experiences. First visit with the new dentist only the hygienist was there the dentist was not there, who knows why. Second visit the hygienist wasn't there and the dentist cleaned my teeth and then tried to add on an additional procedure, which was recently done. She continued with the procedure after I had mentioned it, but did it half ass. I would know the difference since I've had it done many times by other professionals. The administrative staff certainly are lacking, professionalism and the friendliness that was provided by Summer and her sister Star. I literally got the most unbelievable snarky email after asking a simple question one time. Definitely will not be returning. read more

My father was a dentist and an orthodontist, and my sister is a dentist. Thus, I grew up with teeth, drilling, and fillings. Obviously, I know a little bit about what makes a good dental practitioner. Last week Dr. Kitsis needed to replace a filling. Before Alicia Keys finished her third song, I was done. I felt no pain, and tap, tap, tap, my teeth were even and the bite was on plane. Dr. Kitsis is gentle, proficient, and an expert. His credentials impressed me before I stepped into his Queen Anne office. He's the best dentist I have experienced since my dad last stuck his fingers in my mouth and told me to "open wide." read more

I've been going to Dr. Kitsis and his team for several years now. They are fantastic dental professionals through and through - from the front desk to the doctor himself, everyone is doing their best to make the experience as pleasant as possible. Dr. Kitsis is extremely knowledgeable and never recommends unnecessary treatments. On top of that he has great bedside manner. Always reassuring, and never talks down to his patients. He is a class act. His hygienists are the best in the business. I walk out of the office feeling like my teeth have gotten the full dealership detailing. The front desk always greets me by name and a smile. They take care of all the administrative stuff without a hitch. As a bonus, they play the most relaxing music here. Dr. Dubey was a lifesaver! I'm from out of state visiting and my crown popped off late at night. I was scrambling to find a dentist near where I was staying and was completely panicked because I was supposed to leave for Canada in the morning. Dr. Dubey called me back and got me in for an emergency visit. She was able to cement the crown back in and I can now enjoy the rest of my vacation. Scammy Customer Service: $100 Cancellation Fee and Rude Staff. I had my appointment scheduled on June 1st, Tuesday, right after a long Memorial Day weekend. The last reminder I received was on Thursday, May 27th (5 days in advance!) when normal expectation would be to get a reminder within 24 hours or less before the appointment. The reminder said they would follow up with another reminder sending me an additional form I had to fill out beforehand - something that actually never happened. I am not ever sure I was able to come in without the form since the it was a COVID-19 questionnaire. When I called to reschedule the missed appointment I was told I have to pay $100 late cancelation fee first. They didn't think there was anything wrong with sending the reminder 5 days in advance. The receptionist sounded arrogant and condescending. I actually regretted having done business with them before! I guess I'll need to find a new place where I can get simple cleaning done. I hope the new dentist will have a handle on automatic reminders. read more

If you could have a business be a part of your family, Supertooth would be your kind & gentle Aunt Linda. Look, I hate dentists. Like, I will get a dentist and break up with them because they overcharge, upsell, hurt me, or have rude staff or, or, or. Then I'll go 2 years without seeing another dentist. Well, my 2 years of pouting was up and so I was on the hunt for another new dentist. The anxiety was rising as I was searching when something caught my eye: Supertooth has a therapy dog! SOLD. May 7th was my first consultation and I was NERVOUS. Dr. Katsis sensed my nerves and walked me through everything he was going to do before doing it and I began to feel at ease. He's, like, a tooth whisperer or something. Giving Charlie the dog some head pets while I was in the chair helped, too. Remember, this appointment was May 7th and the primary reason I needed to go to the dentist asap was because I was getting married May 24 and wanted a pretty smile. Buckle up, this is a wild ride. May 7 - Consultation: x-ray, poked my gums, took pictures, discussed the flaws of my smile which was a dying (and browning) front tooth that I was very self-conscious about. May 8 - Get fitted for a veneer: Dr. Katsis took impressions, then he got to work on my mouth. My 2 front teeth were fairly chipped and ragged so he added a piece to my alive tooth to make it longer and smoother on the bottom. Then he worked more on the dying tooth, did you know when you get veneers this means shaving the tooth so it's tiny? I did not until it started happening. But you know what? I didn't feel a thing, just the beginning when he numbed my gums with the needle. The temporary, until the veneer gets custom made, goes on the tiny tooth and I'm back at work. Fast forward 2 hours at work, I'm eating grapes and BOOM, temporary falls off! It's well after Supertooth office hours so I send them a text (I love that they text! And it's a real human, Crystal, not automated messages. I know this because once we talked about spaghetti. Anyway...) that read something like this "I LOOK LIKE A HILLBILLY" and I attached a pic of of my mouth agape while wearing a flannel shirt that I regrettably picked out that morning. My boss & coworkers couldn't stop laughing at my misfortune. I was scaring puppies. School children bullied me. It was the worst. I did, however, give it a nickname, Kevin Hart, as they're both small and brown. May 9, 6:45am - Supertooth responds to my text of misery! They want me in at 10am that morning to fix my temporary! Dr. Katsis uses a different adhesive on the temp and I'm back at work with a smile. May 14 - Cavities are filled (baby's first cavities!) May 15 - I am enjoying a salad when BOOM, the temporary falls off again. But worse. I swallowed it. But worse still, the next morning I have to direct a photoshoot for work and CAN NOT GET OUT OF IT. I let Supertooth know, they're trying everything in their power to get me in the office but I have to do this photoshoot and the earliest I can go in is the 18th. May 18th @ 6am - They opened the office EARLY to see me and fix my tooth with the new shiny actual veneer that had arrived! May 18th @ 11am - go back in for a cleaning. And my new smile is PERFECT. Since the wedding, I've gone back for a couple more times (to get fitted for a night guard, and to pick it up). When I went to pick it up, the wait took longer than expected and Crystal came over and handed me a Starbucks gift card as an apology. So sweet! The folks here went above and beyond to get me to the alter looking and feeling pretty. Crystal put a rush on my veneer and didn't charge me. Dr. Katsis has an amazing talent for All Things Teeth. I had a pretty darn fantastic initial check-up at Supertooth. Dr. Kitsis was fantastic and gave me a ton of advice and next steps. Luckily this go-round I only need a cleaning, but I will be going to this dentist for the rest of my time in Seattle. I did 8 veneers with Dr. Kitsis in 2018. Within the first 6 months, 2 different veneers popped off and I had to drive back and forth for a numerous number of exams and appointments, not to mention pain and suffering I was going through with this process. In 2019 I had another veneer pop off, but because I had a baby, I couldn't keep driving for appointments with him, so my regular dentist repaired it that time. Each time it was a different veneer and usually while I am drinking water or eating a salad (i.e. I wasn't doing anything crazy like biting into a steak or a raw carrot). I was lucky each time to have felt it come off, catch it in time, and was able to bring the veneer back to cement it back on. However, just today, I had an entirely different one pop off while I was enjoying a lemonade on ice before dinner and chocked on my drink madly. I ripped my throat coughing for 30 min. I immediately felt the rough tooth and realized I was choking on the veneer. Unfortunately, this time it's gone, and I swallowed it. So, I have to undergo the whole process of making a new one again. Again, a completely different veneer and during just drinking. At this point 50% of his work has come off/fell off under 3 years. He is so incompetent. After the first 2 veneers came off, I made him a deal to refund my money and I go and redo everything with someone else. He did not acknowledge my offer at all. This poor quality of his work is literally jaw dropping, not to mention the mental breakdown I had to witness in his office. When he did my veneers the first time, he did it exactly the same way and alignment as my 15 years old set was. I was very clear and specifically asked I wanted him to follow my natural tooth line this time and he did the same thing as I already had- a straight line of veneers that were unnaturally bright white. I MADE him redo it and he lost his marbles. At the end of it, he went ahead and reordered what I asked for IN THE FIRST PLACE, but screwed up my first 2 most visible teeth (and the 2 teeth that were the reason I had to do veneers--which was I broke the front teeth in doing a dangerous sport trick). They looked crocked, with a weird shadow on one, and both not low enough. He AGREED to fix his mistake again, ordered a new set of 2 front ones to correct the mistake, then, after weeks of waiting again, I finally was in his chair again and hopefully for the last time. He proceeded to numb me and THEN flipped out almost in tears, shaking, visibly having a mental breakdown of some sort saying he didn't feel right about redoing it!!!! AFTER he injected a crap load of epinephrine medication into me. I almost wanted to yell at him to get it together and almost felt what he was doing was illegal and not humane. I cried but controlled myself and persuaded him to calm down and finish his job that I paid thousands of dollars for. I couldn't believe what he was saying. Long drama scene short- he ended up redoing it. Ever since he had to redo and correct his mistakes so many times, my teach were left extremely sensitive. Since I left his office in 2018, I have never stopped being in pain for a single day in those 2 front teeth and sometimes others. When I complained about the pain the first few weeks, he brushed me off and said it's normal and will eventually go away. It's been THREE years of pain and torture and many re-dos of his dirty job due to his veneers keep popping off and now, only THREE years later, I have to just redo everything because his veneers keep falling off. This is not to mention all the 45 min one-way trips back and forth, parking and tolls to his office. I was mentally and physically exhausted dealing with this incompetent and unstable person. I wanted to write this review back in 2019 when I started losing veneers but was too busy with baby. Then, wanted to write it in 2020 when I was suffering from all the veneer pain but decided against it, well, just to have mercy due to 2020. Now, I continue to loose AND choke on his sloppy makeshift dental work and honestly, it was the last straw. He is terrible, emotionally unstable and incompetent dentist. Don't go there! read more

I love Supertooth Dentistry. The office itself is modern and nickel-chrome clean, and the front desk staff attendants are all polite and professional. Dr. Kitsis is patient and kind, and he explains everything clearly and always shows the utmost respect. David is the hygienist you should request if you're a big scaredy-cat baby in the chair like I am. With David, there's no reason to fear. He is truly the best hygienist I have ever experienced, and I've suffered through several (in a different office). Stains and tartar that would normally require nearly archaeological ultra-sonic scraping seem to melt away under David's gentle touch. He puts you at ease with a great bedside manner and deliberate on-going commentary, so there's no guessing about what he's doing with his fingers in your mouth! I'd put off some dental work and instead of berating me for it, they came up with a plan to get it done quickly and painlessly. This is the best dentist I've been to in my 29 years, throughout my experience in over 7 countries. I love the service I get when I come here, the whole staff is dedicated to what they do, from the reception staff to the hygienists to the doctor. What I love the most? The cleanings never hurt and I don't get shamed for what I'm doing wrong and instead they've taught me how to use my tooth brush to cater to my teeth, floss differently, and encouraged me to get better. I never wait more than 5 minutes. The doctor is friendly but also direct and honest. They are also crazy conveniently close to downtown seattle where I live. Just know that they you need to book with a lot of lead time. I usually get on waitlists that get me in within a week. Love this dentist though so it's worth it! read more

I came to doctor Michael Kitsis to get help with my #14 (this is upper left chewing tooth) that was bothering me on and off while eating. Dr Michael Kitsis and I decided on a root canal treatment followed by porcelain crown. In April I did the root canal with endodontist Dr. Charles Backman from Northgate. For about 7-10 days after root canal I've had intense pain . After the pain disappeared, Dr. Kitsis put a porcelain crown on it. Two weeks later I started feeling pain when chewing and even touching the tooth. When I called Dr. Kitsis, he said that I needed to go back to the endodontist, which I did. At the appointment, Dr. Backman checked the tooth and said that he needs to talk to my dentist Dr Kitsis on the phone. When he came back he said that dr. Kitsis had a solution for me, and that I should call him. When I ended up on the street ,I realized and could not believe that Dr. Backman did not give me any expert opinion and diagnosis for my issue and just got rid of me. I called Dr. Kitsis and he suggested to make night guard for me (??). How the night guard could possibly solve the problem? Are those doctors taking us for fools? I understand that dr. Kitsis probaly thought he haven't made enough money on my teeth, but aren't doctors supposed to provide us with help for dental issues as well? I ended up with painful tooth, exhausted insurance. Now I am planning to go for second opinion from a endodontist and general dentist to finally find out what is happening, was the problem with the root canal or with the crown. From what I see in this situation, neither Dr. Kitsis, nor Dr. Backman took responsibility for their work. It seems as if they conspired behind my back trying to hide the possible errors they made. read more

I JUST GOT SCHOOLED about gum maintenance in the best way possible. I learned avoiding areas where the gums are receding a bit makes it worse and that you need to lightly brush your gums everyday! Don't forget to use an electric brush though. Anyway, great dental experience. Doctor Kitsis and his team are wonderful. It would be an accurate statement to say that I fear and loathe going to the dentist. It's more of a phobia than a logical loathing. How strong is this phobia for me? Well, I let the pain and infection of a tooth get so bad that I literally was writhing in pain. My face had swollen, I couldn't eat or drink, and it felt like all of my teeth were in pain. All of this, and I STILL was trying to avoid going in. I was referred to Dr. Kitsis through a friend. From the moment you walk in, you feel taken care of. Every single person that works in that office is friendly, helpful, and caring. Dr. Kitsis is extremely personable, patient, and professional. He had me out of pain, and on my way to feeling 150% better in an hour. I wish I had found him earlier. I mean, they will get the basic job done and the hygienists are thorough but not crazy about the bedside manners...especially if you have anxiety about going to the dentist. They definitely triggered my anxiety pretty badly with their overall judgment and shaming you for things you don't really know. I probably went there a couple of times? Starting from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, the staff are so genuine, friendly and hospitable. The dental assistants ACTUALLY explain everything to you and are very perceptive. Also very helpful when have any questions. Dr. Kitsis is wonderful; you can just feel that you're in good hands. He really took his time when numbing me for a filling, which made it so I actually felt no pain from the injection whatsoever. I really appreciated that. Dr. Kitsis and his team are all really nice and cool people. Most importantly, they do excellent work and they don't cut corners. As a person who has been through oral surgeries, braces, retainers, head gear, cosmetic dentistry, regular cleanings, etc. etc. I am well qualified to say this place is top notch. I recently had a crown procedure at SuperTooth. The crown from the lab didn't fit well and had to be remade. A lesser dentist would have placed the crown anyway and cause me future problems, despite the high cost of the crown. It's great to have a dentist I can trust. Let me preface this by saying that I am terrified of the dentist. It is my least favorite of all check-ups and I dread it for days to months on end (depending on far in advance I booked my appointment). For some, Supertooth may be the perfect dentistry. For me, I'm not sure I will ever give that classification - that's why I'm still giving them a four. Supertooth is clean, has friendly staff and works extremely well with insurance companies. While Dr. Kitsis is a bit different (and has a very thick accent), he is extremely thorough and will not try to skirt around issues or suggest unnecessary treatment. He is very fair and kind, which makes for a more relaxing experience. While I have since found a new dentist closer to where I am now living, I would recommend Supertooth for those in the LQA area. read more

New patients expect 2 hours appointment. First hour was with the dental assistant and doctor, took x-rays, pictures, going over recommendations and concerns. 2nd hour was with the dental hygenist. Hygenist Tanya was thorough, a bit rougher than my last hygenist but I liked it. I feel like she was actually scraping off the plague and tartar from my teeth. Good work! Parking= not free. You can pay for metered parking around the block. Or! I suggest parking at Bartells or Metropolitan Market for first 2 hours free and walk 3-4 blocks to the office. Dr. Micheal Kitsis didn't try to up sell, he gave me his honest expert opinion and I appreciated it. He did recommend me to get a night guard for upper teeth and retainer for lower teeth. Star, dental assistant, and Tanya, hygenist, were great! Thank you ladies! Overall, office is high tech, clean, new, and friendly staff. I would come back and would recommend you guys to this office! Five stars! Every single person in this office is wonderful. From Shay and Mary at the front desk, to the dentist hygienist, to the doctor himself. I always feel like I am treated with such respect when I am in the office, I have never felt like I was being up sold like I have at ever other dentist I have been to. I found my new Dentist! Dr. Kitsis and his assistant Star are awesome; I've never felt more at home and relaxed at the dentist, very friendly environment. Transitioning between the equipment and tools was fluid; it's obvious they are skilled at what they do and make an excellent team, their movements seemed choreographed. Speaking of equipment - I do medical research for a living and was impressed by the gear! I'm no expert in dental gadgets but everything seemed state of the art from the cameras, x-ray unit, the chairs, software used, lighting, tools etc. I got the sense they really went all out furnishing the practice with the best equipment available. Whoever keeps their space clean needs praise, everything looked spotless. Overall I give the five stars without hesitation. I had the BEST cleaning session ever at the dentists - THANKS Cathy! Supertooth Dentistry is above and beyond my expectations. I had a bad experience with another chain dentist place that gave me a bad filling. I go in to Supertooth, Dr.Kitsis makes a few adjustments, and it's night and day. The pain from my filling is gone immediately! He took the time to listen to me, how I was feeling in my mouth, gave me options. It was such a refreshing experience. I loved his assistant, Rachel, as well. She was so friendly! It also sounds a little silly, but she gave me a refresher of how to brush with technique on holding the brush and it's changed me forever! Even with a Sonicare, I wasn't feeling clean on my back molars. The difference is astounding, who knew I wasn't brushing the best way this whole time? I contacted the office if Dr. Kitsis can give me a second opinion since my dentist wants to redo one of my fillings. I heard Dr. Kitsis still has to do a comprehensive exam even though I want one tooth examined, and I had the exam by my dentist (and cleaning by hygienist) only a month ago. I came to Supertooth after having a difficult root canal and poor care from the dentist who performed the procedure. My partner is a patient and I was seen the same day I returned home from a business trip in tremendous pain. The whole staff is professional, warm, caring and reassured me that I was in good hands. They alleviated some of the problems with the tooth that day and gave me a clear time frame for my recovery. I had them take care of my crown and have switched my care to the office. I highly recommend Dr. Kitsis to anyone seeking a dentist. Though I haven't been to many dentists in my lifetime, Dr. Kitsis is definitely the best one I've been to. He and his staff are extremely welcoming and always have a smile on their faces (showing great teeth, of course). They are great about explaining everything thoroughly and providing adequate information so the patient can make an informed decision, which I personally enjoy. I LOVE Dr. Kitsis, Mary, Tanya and Star! The entire staff are kind, patient, informative and gentle. I have SEVERE dental anxiety and was extremely nervous about returning to the dentist, but this office helped calm my nerves and helped me feel welcomed. I honestly feel as if the staff have become a second family to me. Everyone here takes their time to listen to your concerns and truly show genuine kindness toward you. I don't feel pressured and Dr. Kitsis definitely doesn't try to up sale. I love that Dr. K is a perfectionist, haha. He truly cares about his work and wants everyone to be happy and healthy!! My teeth are straight, aligned and my bite is on point. He could've taken my braces off early, but he makes sure that every single tooth is perfect for my wedding, he is awesome!! The ladies are wonderful and funny, a really fantastic team! I always end up staying a little longer than my appointment just to chat with them. I love all of them.
