I ordered a chicken enchilada and a cheese enchilada, because I don't like ground beef.

Best Thing Flopping in Red Oak is an absolute gem! My husband and I always order the fried catfish…read morenugget basket with fries, and it never disappoints. The catfish is always--and I mean always--fried to absolute perfection, and they give you a generous portion that is easily enough to share. Plus, adding a drizzle of their hot jalapeño for that extra kick of spicy flavor on the fish just completely does it for me! Because this spot is so good, it can get incredibly busy, especially during the lunch hour. I typically order online ahead of time so I can just run in, grab our food, and get right back out. If you want perfectly fried seafood in Red Oak, this is hands-down the place to go. Five stars all day!

Ladies and Gentlemen...WE HAVE A WINNER~!!!! 6*****…read more Food - OK, this is what G-d meant fried catfish to be. Moist. Flaky. Well seasoned coating. Crisp outside. Thermonuclear hot from the fryer. Just damn good fried catfish. On the downside...the fried shrimp were a bit on the small side and a bit too greasy out of the fryer...however, the shrimp flavor came through. Pre-fab packets of tartar sauce and ketchup are minor demerits; but, the cocktail sauce is homemade with visible flecks of horseradish. Hidden gem - in the bottom of your container, under the fish and fries, are marinated pickle and carrot slices AND a whole jalapeno. There's a kick here that adds a bit of extra spice to your meal. Warning, the tartar sauce and ketchup may be under your meal container hiding from you as everything is packed "to go", even if you're dining there. Dig deep to make sure you find everything. BONUS - canned sodas only and they're ONLY $1.00 (as of today...your experience may be different) Service - counter service with a pager for when your order is ready. The wait can sometimes be lengthy if the kitchen is slammed with take-out, call-in, delivery service, etc. orders...you really don't know until you get there. Ambiance - you gotta' want it to get it. The location is on the dark side of the fringe of a freeway/bridge construction/reconstruction zone. Once you figure out how to get access, the parking is challenging as there's one in/out and 4 separate storefronts using it...and the construction zone is right there.... All said, be courteous and patient and you'll find a spot. Upside - if you find a parking spot, you'll find a place to sit if you want to dine in. The place is clean, quiet, and has lots of TV's (for the size of the place) to keep you occupied while you wait on the kitchen. I found this place on a random Google maps search and I'm over the moon that I found it and braved the traffic to get inside. The food alone is worth the trip. Stick to what they do best - catfish - filets, strips, or steaks and you'll never be disappointed.

It was flavorful, cooked just right, and definitely hit the spot. The price was great for the portion, and the customer service made the experience even better. It's a very colorful establishment and you can get the New Orleans feel when you walk in by seeing the decorations in the set up. The menu has so many options that it was hard to pick what to get but don't think you can go wrong with anything you pick here. Now for the FOOD! 8 wings (all flats) w fried rice 9/10: instead of the fries, appreciated they had the option to change to the fried rice. It was perfectly seasoned but the soy sauce was definitely needed. Wing flavor was mild buffalo and the flavor was just ok. They were well seasoned and sauced. 8 wings w/ fries 8.5/10: I ordered the Cajun lemon pepper wings and they were sauced up! Great flavor, perfect amount or heat and nice size wings. The fries were nice a crispy. Hush puppies 7/10: these were okay. I wish there was some type of sauce that came with them but you get like 6 small pieces. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside though. I would definitely check them out again!
