This restaurant has great food. I had the lunch burger special, $10 for 1/4 lb burger and homemade fries. Another in our party had BLT with homemade Sweet potato fries. The food was very tasty and fresh. I always check the restrooms for cleaniness. If they never clean the restroom, they probably won't clean the kitchen either. The men's restroom is decorated really cool and worth seeing. I took photos for ideas of future remodels. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us several times. In the way home and hubby wanted a burger. We found Lonestar and figured that we would sit and enjoy our food instead of getting it to go. Erica was our server and she helped us decide. Hubby got the quarter pound mushroom and Swiss burger with tater tots and I got the Philly cheesesteak burger with onion rings. We got the tea and Erica convinced us to add a flavor. I got peach and hubby got mango! It was really good! This is a Mom and Pop looking place that is hard to get to due to construction but it is definitely worth it. You need to try it. read more

As my teens would say..mid. The fries were floppy and greasy, my burger tasted almost like sausage/burger combo. Not sure how to describe it other than that..just off. Kids Mac and cheese was weird and sweet..honestly awful. The tots were aight, the ranch was the best thing about it all. I spent $85 and while I did get a lot of food..it was all just..unmemorable. We sat at the bar and there was a wide array of people- an out of town couple, some newly 21 year old taking shots, to an elderly man drinking Budweiser. This review is for the Lonestar Burger in Midlothian. We took our granddaughter there for dinner and the burgers were delicious! Cooked perfectly, lots of flavor and lots of choices. The fries are hand cut, not frozen, and you can get regular or Cajun. The fried jalapeños were yummy. Service was excellent. I had the patty melt and the rye bread it's served on was very good. Burger was cold in the middle and red, waiter half way took our order, my daughter ordered a chef salad with ranch. No ranch was given. No refills and didn't check on us NOT ONE TIME!! When he brought the food to the table he shoved it on the table and said here. Like WTF? Two different radios going and the base was so bad in the back that the horrible food and service didn't want to stay down. Final bill? 78.00 for three burgers and chef salad. RIDICULOUS! The service was on point and the strawberry Margarita was very tasty. I enjoyed the appetizer Onions Rings, but husband wasn't a fan. Too much breading (which I liked). I was so lucky to be there in a recent Monday, currently the only day they offer the fried catfish plate: 8oz catfish filet fried to crunchy perfection, skin on fries (my fave!), creamy coleslaw with just the right amount of acidity, light and fluffy hush puppies snd the best tartar sauce you ever flopped your lips over! I ate everything save two of the hush puppies only because I was full to the brim! If you are there on a Monday, do yourself a favor and get the catfish! Food and the service were good. It also seemed like a very fun hangout spot. A place you can bring some friends and just relax together.

The food was really good. Came out quickly and to my specifications. It was nice that the waiteess opened my containers to make sure everything was okay. Also, the young lady who took my order over the phone forgot to order the jalapeños, so we had to wait longer. My food was cold, which I absolutely hate, but it was still tasty. My family and I have lived in Red Oak since 1986. When we first got here there was nothing in the form of restaurants or entertainment. After leaving Red Oak in 2000 and living in different places such as Los Angeles and Yokohama, Japan I finally came back home and I am seeing a number of new restaurants that have popped up. I decided to try this place with my mom, who usually never likes any food other than her own. We got the Lemon Pepper wings and the Teriyaki wings and they were perfectly seasoned and really crispy on the outside but tender and juicy inside. I decided to go for the Chicken Fried Steak and there were two options the single and the double. Well luckily I chose the single because it was huge!!! I shared it with my mom and basically she ate a third and I ate a third and had to take the rest home. Amazing value! The Chicken Fried steak had a really nice and flakey crust and just the right amount of seasoning. The Tater Tots weren't oily and gave the meal the right accent. Our Bartender Pam was a sweetheart and I could barely drink half of my root beer before she got me a refill. Overall great food, great service and a nice sports bar on a Sunday vibe. Great find south of the metroplex. Would definitely come back here the service was great and the food was awesome. The 2 times I've been here the Lonestar Burger has not failed me. The tots were money with the burger. The onion rings are great as well. Both times I was here it was clean and the waiter and waitress who helped me were super friendly and great at making you feel comfortable in a place I soon realized had a lot of regulars coming in. It's a bar/ restaurant but I didn't noticed the bar as I was just in heaven with some good tasty burgers made fresh when ordered with piping hot fries or tots. See you all soon.
