Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. I prefer a Buffalo sandwich that is fully coated in sauce, but this one seemed like the sauce was simply added on top. The chicken itself was average, and the bun was noticeably larger than the chicken portion. On a positive note, the fries and lemonade were both above average and helped balance out the meal. The food has never been my issue. But the customer service today was a ZERO! I ordered a 6-piece wing meal, all flats, with fries. I sat inside the restaurant the entire time waiting for my order. When it was ready, the young lady CALLED MY NAME and HANDED ME the order. Since my orders are normally correct, I left without opening the container to check it. I drove all the way downtown, opened the container, and discovered that IT WAS NOT MY ORDER. I immediately called Wings World and spoke with two different people. When I explained what happened, the young lady on the phone asked me, "Did you check the name on the order?" My response was: "NO! YOU CALLED MY NAME AND HANDED ME THE ORDER. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULDN'T READ!" Because seriously, why would I check the name on a bag after I sat there waiting, you called MY name, and YOU handed the order directly to me? I didn't walk up to a counter and grab somebody else's food. I then asked if they could simply credit my card since they gave me the wrong order and I was already downtown. Both people told me NO. Their solution was for me to drive all the way from downtown back to Cedar Hill, return the incorrect food they handed me, and then pick up the order I originally paid for. Absolutely not. I didn't prepare the wrong food. I didn't grab the wrong bag. YOUR EMPLOYEE CALLED MY NAME AND HANDED ME THE WRONG ORDER. Why should I have to spend my time and gas driving across town to correct your mistake? When I asked who I was speaking with, I was told his name was "Mr. Gray." When I tried to clarify his name, I was essentially told, "My name is Gray." The entire conversation felt dismissive instead of anyone simply trying to make things right. Had someone said, "Ms. Spencer, we apologize. We made a mistake. Since you're already downtown, we'll refund your purchase," this would have been over, and I would have remained a customer. Instead, Wings World lost a customer who genuinely enjoyed their food over a situation that could have been resolved with a little common sense, courtesy, and good customer service. Thankfully, I paid by credit card, so I will address the charge through my card issuer. And as for the incorrect order they wanted me to drive all the way back to Cedar Hill to return? I gave it to a homeless gentleman downtown. I hope he enjoyed his free Wings World meal! At least somebody benefited from this mess. Great wings cannot make up for terrible customer service. You lost a customer today, Wings World--and unfortunately, it wasn't because of the food. It wouldn't allow me to post without at least one star.
