I was honestly uncomfortable because it didn't seem like she knew what she was doing, and I could feel my skin becoming more and more irritated as she continued going over the same spots. I understand that some redness and sensitivity can be normal after waxing, but this is beyond the usual post-wax irritation I've experienced. I've had this service done here multiple times before without anything like this happening. I really hope management looks into the technique and training being used. It's eyebrow threading - how can you elevate that activity to the next level? Honestly, I have experienced threading that produced a little tear in my eye - it's almost inevitable since you're getting your hair pulled from the root. Rita works wonders by making the whole process painless. She was so gentle and meticulous at the same time. After the threading, trimming, and plucking, my eyebrows were shaped beautifully. This was a last minute add-on, but Rita was able to remove my nose blackheads with wax. My nose looks awesome!!! I can't believe I've been missing out on this my entire life. No doubt about it - I'm returning soon to get this done again. This may not be as obvious, but Rita also does makeup and hairstyle, including weddings. He asked me to choose a pedicure, and I selected the Pomelo Pedicure. He then directed me to a book to choose a color. Because the selection appeared limited, I asked whether those were the only colors available. He replied that they were the dip-powder colors, although I had never requested dip powder. After I clarified that I wanted regular polish, he directed me to another display. I was surprised to find several nearly empty or dried-out bottles, which made choosing a color difficult. I was then directed to a chair, where my technician noticed nail dust covering the seat and adjoining table from a previous service. She wiped the area with a towel before I sat down. My pedicure was okay, but it felt rushed and did not seem to include everything I remembered from the Pomelo Pedicure description. When I received my ticket at the end of my service, I realized I had been given and charged for the less-expensive Express Pedicure instead. I mentioned it to the associate who checked me out, but I am unsure whether she understood my concern, so I decided not to pursue it further. On the positive side, I now know the Express Pedicure would be a convenient option when I am short on time. I am willing to give this salon another try to determine whether this experience was an exception or the usual standard.
