The new receptionist Danielle was extremely rude to me. I was running 7 minutes late for a 45 minute appointment that only takes about 20 minutes TOPS. I've had this service approximately 6 times at this location with the same cerologist, so I can say with 100% certainty that it's only a 20 minute appointment. Anywho, she called me as I was turning into the parking lot 10:06am. My phone was in my bag and I strained a back muscle the day before so I couldn't reach to grab the phone to answer it. I walked in the door at 10:07am and she ignored me and began to help another customer. After she finished helping the other customer, she began to loudly (in front of the other customer) say that I was late another day and that since I was late again I would be fully charged for the appointment and would have to reschedule. She said "& you didn't answer my call". Mind you, it had only been 2 minutes since the call. I will not pay my hard-earned money to be chastised by a rude receptionist for not answering her phone call that was made technically only 1 minute before I walked in the door and 2 minutes before she addressed me after I walked in the door. I've cancelled my membership and I 100% do not recommend that anyone come here until she is removed from her position or at least gets intensive customer service training. God forbid that you don't answer her phone call while you're driving/pulling into the parking lot or that you get stuck in any sort of traffic. She'll practically curse you out. I've cancelled my membership and that sucks for the cerologist mainly, because she's the one that's truly losing business. Waxing The City has probably lost or will lose a lot of customers due to this receptionist and her disgusting demeanor. read more

Really disappointed. I've been coming to this location for a few months now. The service has been great. There's was a new gal at the front desk, she called me 3 minutes after my scheduled appointment as I was driving, I told we her I was stuck waiting for a train, she said if I was over 10 minutes late I would have to miss my appointment. I was exactly 10 minutes late for the first time. She proceeded to tell me I was 11 minutes late...made me feel like a child. She wanted me to reschedule! Sorry not sorry, but I'm not coming back. Im in the Army and only come here when I'm visiting. This is one of the few places that does NOT give military discounts for their services. Today I was seen by Kortney and although I'm a seasonal customer. she was very thorough and took such care when I was getting waxed. She was kind, sweet and made sure everything was to my liking. I've been going to Waxing The City ever since I moved to the DFW area. So it would make sense to feel "safe" trying the new location closest to my house. Ya, NO. I arrived, checked in, went to the back with Brit. She was nice enough, not super engaging which is fine. Not a personality contest so long as my brows look good, who cares. So she does her thing life is great. Never offers a mirror to look things over, and to be truthfully honest that didn't phase me because again, I've always had a great experience at the one location I always go to. Check out with the receptionist, leave a nice tip. Head home. My fiance was actually the first to tell me something wasnt right. And you know it's bad when the man in your life hits you with "ummmm babe, why does your eye brow look like the state of north carolina?!" So now, it's after hours. I waited and called to explain what happened, I wanted a refund obviously. But instead I was told "no refund, but come in and we will fix it" UM FIX WHAT?! You cant reapply hair and no way am I letting someone take more from the other side! Customer service was AWFUL. Clearly the service provided was disastrous. Don't bother going here. read more

I used to do strip waxing and omg I will never go back to that again let me tell ya. So before Covid happened I was doing strip waxing for my underarms and well.. when we got shutdown I tried self waxing at home kits and the hard wax was the best one so I found waxing the city and I have never been happier. She was so gentle. I have never walked out of a wax appt and felt like I could take on the world. I had no pain during my wax or afterwards for that matter. I've been coming to this location regularly for over 2 years & had switched from EWC. The services are next level & I honestly could never go back! Mariana has been my girl from day one! She's great at making you feel comfortable (super important for first time Brazilians!), is personable & engaging while still being professional. Love this place!! Only my second time getting a Brazilian and it was a breeze! The last place i went to missed so much hair because they wanted me out the door. Sara took her time and made sure every hair was gone, she even offered to tweeze the hairs that the wax didnt pick up. I don't usually write reviews. This is actually my very first Yelp review. The only reason I'm writing one now is because I'm awake & basically just pissed. I went to 'the other place'(EWC) for awhile & wasn't very happy with the consistency of their work. I found this place when I moved to the area & have been coming here for about a year now. I don't consistently wax because I have previously lasered & don't have much to wax & what is there is mostly blonde. I just come in before vacations or special occasions & such. I made an appt for today with Brit who as far as I could see is the best one they have there. No I didn't try many others because I found her & stuck with her. I've referred every person that mentioned waxing around me to them/her & took her cards to work & posted them for others. I'm not a consistent customer but I will recommend them. However I'll also share todays experience now too. I work night shift & woke up earlier than usual so I could make this appt as it was the only time I could get that sorta worked out for me. I got up & got showered because I refuse to go to the gynecologist or my wax appt without being shower fresh. If I were in their shoes, I think I would appreciate the same courtesy of my clients. I hop in the car & take off to my appt. I live super close. Like I could walk there if I felt so inclined but that would also take longer than a quick drive. I'm not usually out & about at this time but of course I take off & I'm met with a line of cars not moving very fast. I make it through the required lights & then end up driving on the shoulder to get to the left turn into their lot as the traffic has slowed me down more than anticipated. I walked in the door at 2:05 & my appt was at 2. I quickly check in & take a seat. I'm told at 2:06 that because I'm late & she has a client after me that I will have to reschedule. I'm absolutely shocked. The 2 services that I booked were blocked for a 60 minute session total. I usually schedule for 3 services & I have NEVER taken more than an hour for my appt. Let alone 66 minutes. Do not read this review wrong-I am not excusing lateness. I am simply bringing light to the necessity to know this facility is not one for leniency or understanding. So there you have it. I'm probably more irritated than I should be given that I'm up on my very rare day off & much earlier than I should be. I'll just schedule at EWC for now (maybe this location will be better than my previous city) & hopefully if I cool down go back in the future. (I tend to hold on to things for awhile) You'll notice from my picture that when I left at 2:07 that the line of traffic was still there.
