AUTOMATIC FIVE-STAR RATING! Okay, besides that, Now or Never is one of the few (if not only) comic book stores in Downtown San Diego. It's actually cleaner and more organized than the ones I frequent, but the relatively small size of the building means they don't have as much in stock as I'd like. Case in point, I wanted to show my appreciation for supporting SDCC by getting a couple of graphic novels of Trese and Usagi Yojimbo, but the ones I wanted weren't in stock. But, given how I was surprised to see a comic book store a few blocks away from the Convention Center, I can see myself probably checking it out again whenever I'm in the area.

Comic Stronghold is a son Gavin, and a Mom Trish and Pop operation. They carry all the current comics, from Patrick Horvath's Beneath the Trees, to all the new Marvel & DC titles. They even have a comfy reading area. Gavin knows his titles and is great with service and offering value to the buyer. For instance, his Ashcans are free and he has set up a table with free posters. Wow. Nice.

Master collection, and still always getting new high quality products in every week. But my favorite part about this store are the owners, Josh and Kayla, a beautiful couple with amazing hospitality and great sense of humor. Radiant people. Highly recommend this spot for those who are collectors, love eye candy, or looking for gifts for loved ones!
