I had a really great experience adopting Lua from this rescue. She was originally called Moe, and she's a 2-year-old Rat Terrier--full of energy, incredibly sweet, and such a loving dog. This precious bundle of fur entered my life and I quickly fell in love. The rescue did a great job at socializing her, gets along with kids/cats and all that was true. I highly recommend Amazing Dogs Rescue if you're looking for a four-legged companion. This is my sixth dog rescue, and first with Amazing Dog Rescue, and I can tell you that they really have their act together! From all of their dog listings, its obvious that they are very busy. Despite this, Gabriel and Cecelia were responsive, knowledgable, patient, empathetic, and clearly care about saving dogs. A lot of effort (and expense) was expended to ensure it was very clear exactly what I was getting into. There was a video call set up to "meet" my new dog, Grant, in advance - part of the standard adoption process. A preliminary medical assessment from a veterinarian was provided as well as behavioral indications from the foster where he was staying. Upon, deciding to proceed with the adoption, a more in-depth medical exam was performed (blood work, test for tick-borne diseases, etc.) and sent to me in advance of the adoption meeting so that I could have my vet review. Among other things, Grant was neutered upon intake into Amazing Dog Rescue's system and also given flea/tick meds and a battery of vaccines - rabies, bortatella, giardia, etc. Very thorough! The adoption fee was in-line with what I've paid for previous adoptions, but I got SO much more compared with the other organizations I've gone through for previous dog adoptions. It was great to have information and related peace-of-mind. Very happy with Grant and the Amazing Dogs Rescue adoption process. A true pleasure to work with pros! read more

We added our newest family member exactly a week ago. Steve (FKA Ronald) is an absolutely treasure and it is all because of Cecelia and Amazing Dogs Rescue. We adopted a dog from Amazing Dog Rescue last year, and they told us she was about 2 years old. We just had a vet check her teeth, and they said she's actually closer to 6-8 years old. Being off by a little is one thing, but being off by several years is pretty ridiculous. Age affects health, training, and long‑term planning, and we made decisions based on the info they gave us. It's frustrating to find out it was that far off. Be aware that this rescue was unable to provide a reliable information and consider other places. I hope they start giving more accurate evaluations, because this was a big miss. read more

I attempted to contact Amazing Dogs Rescue but had no luck with them answering the phone. I began to dig into them further and based upon the information online and on their own website I question if they are really working as a non-profit based upon filed paperwork to attain non-profit status. They want a non-refundable $50 charge to meet with the dog. They state if you adopt the dog in question then the charge will be applied to the adoption fee. The adoption fee for every dog I looked into was $500. That seems a bit expensive coming from a non-profit animal rescue. As you can see from other reviews on Yelp there are numerous poor reviews and other mentioned the fact they want a non-refundable fee to view a dog at adoption event. Other that have posted online have made mention of the dogs adopted from this organization were sick. This would contest the claim by Amazing Dogs Rescue that all the dogs are dewormed, provided all shots and spayed/neutered and checked by their veterinarian. The organization made claims on their site that the cost of all the above-mentioned services was $250, so what is the additional $250 fee? I question based upon other's statements if the claimed services are properly provided by the claim of the organization. This questions the integrity of this non-profit organization. read more
