This place is the worst. I've left a review. I've called the store and left my information for the manager. And have never received a call to address my concerns. Had good experiences at this location in Burke the 2 times that I have been there. Really like the classic lashes that I received both times. Unfortunately I will cancel my subscription as I think I am allergic. The last few times at the Woodbridge location and this Burke location had me reaching for the Benadryl. I was charged hidden fees of over $300 without notification at time of service. I had not been there for a while, I asked the front desk rep what was my charge on the day of service, she told me my charge was $79 because I had prior credit but then was later charged more that 3 times over. Attempted to reach the store , no clear explanation but rep tried to justify the charges with no explanation why I was not notified prior to the services. I feel like they did not state the actual fee upfront because that will stop the customer from proceeding with the appointment. Signing up for membership was a big mistake. Do not come here to get your lashes done. I thought I would come here to get a nice set for a wedding. All I got was a sparse lash set. The lash tech did not speak to me and was very unfriendly. I did not like the set I got and I spoke to a manager and she said I can come in to fix it. She asked me if I would need a full set or a refill. I said it would be for a full set. She said okay. I was unable to make it to my first appointment because I had schedule conflict. When I came in for another appointment the lash tech told me it would only be for an adjustment. I said well whoever I spoke to would be for a full set. At this point I was just frustrated so I just asked for a remova. She said she would speak to her manager. When she came back she said nothing to me. And just did a lash removal. When I went to the desk the manager I spoke to just gaslit me and said oh spoke to you it wasn't for a full set it was for an adjustment. I went there based on the Google reviews. I've had lash extensions 4 times prior , but this was my first time at this location. I rarely write reviews, however this warranted one. Don't waste your money. The tech that was doing my lashes it didn't hurt besides her hands smelling a bit it was a calm process. But I got classic and this is the first time It only took 1.30 min. Usually I'm there for two hours. When I was the final product I was surprised at how little was on. I've had classic everytime I've gotten them done at other places and they're always sooo full this was sparse. After one week and a day (8 days total) almost all on one side was out. By day 9 pretty much both eyes were lash less. I called them to let them know and they said I can come back for a refill since it was "time" I called at the week mark and I told the receptionist it was only one week! I wouldn't ever waste $99+ tip for this service here again. Financially just go get clusters or strip lashes for that. Clusters would last just as long . Smh. Very disappointed read more

I was at Amazing Lash Studio today in Burke. I saw one of the Master Lash experts, Leah. When I was done getting my extensions I took a quick look in the mirror and thought they looked ok. I paid for my service and tipped Leah $20. When I got home I noticed that my lashes didn't look quite right on both sides and the lashes were rubbing on my upper eye lid causing irritation. I called and went right back to see if Leah could pull out a couple of lashes to even them out, so they stopped irritating my eye. After I asked this of her, she raised her voice at me and gave me a major attitude. I asked her why she was yelling at me and she replied, " I told you they were going to look like that". I wondered what she meant, but being a respectful adult, I turned around and walked away and went home. Her behavior was not only unprofessional, but scary. To think that I would be yelled out for asking for a simple tweak seemed crazy!! Obviously, a simple fix is out of her realm of constructive criticism and I didn't even criticize! After doing my own lash lift a handful of times with good results I decided to let the pros do it for me. DO NOT, I repeat, NO NOT get a lash lift here. I paid a premium for literally zero results. The tech who was supposedly a master tech rushed through my entire service (they said it would take around 80 minutes and I was in and out in 45). At the end the tech used a heat curler to artificially curl my lashes (a huge no-no I found out) and when I asked her if I should expect the results to continue to progress confused because I didn't see really any results at the time the service was finished she said yes and sent me on my way. I followed all directions and realized quickly that this service wasn't done properly because my lashes looked the exact same as before I went within 3 hours of the service so I contacted the salon the same evening and explained the issue. They told me this wasn't normal and that they would work with me to get me back in within two weeks. Well they ghosted me and won't return my inquiries to reschedule my appointment. I find this curious since Ellie at their front desk called my phone FIVE times in a 4 hour period to try to get me to schedule my initial appointment but can't get back to me to remedy this situation post-appointment. Do not go here expecting them to perform what they charge you for and definitely don't expect they will stand by their product. I am very sad and disappointed because my initial experience with these ladies was great. My first visit when I arrived the young woman at the front desk was thorough and helpful in guiding me on finding my lashes and being a first time lash extension user she made me feel very calm about the experience. Chelsea has always been my tech and she is amazing she is very careful and thorough and she takes care of me as a customer because she remembers me and small details of previous conversations so I absolutely adore her, but what has happened this last week has really turned me off with this company and I will not be returning. I have recommended them to three people, all of which have had a complaint or were very dissatisfied due to bad service. My sister went in for a lash lift and was charged for lashes that looked extremely wonky, their solution was to credit my account but not after coming down on her for not saying anything about it while paying. Then I bought a gift card for my friend brenda, she went and got them done, she had planned on being with Chelsea as I know she works well, but upon arriving to her appointment she was sent with a different person and her lashes fell off later that night. She was in Texas so she didn't complain she simply asked me why I keep going to a place like this. Lastly yesterday my friend Rachel sends me the above picture because she felt her lashes pulling and pain and she showed me where a few of her lashes were all clumped together into one extension. I get natural extensions so I haven't experienced this but she said it didn't feel right and was not helped much when canceling her membership. So that's three people I have sent that got a bad experience from my referral! I am not sure who did Rachel's lashes but it also was not Chelsea because she said she did not know her. I got my lashes done on Friday afternoon with Chelsea, she's really sweet as always which is why I'm upset about having to post this review but after calling and being shut down with no options this is my last recourse. My lashes started falling immediately after the appointment I got to my car and I noticed a few had fallen but I know that's typically normal, then yesterday I look and there's noticeable spaces between my lashes as more of them fell off, I was a little upset but I kept on my day, thinking I could just be shedding. This morning I see that even more have fallen off and now the spaces are very noticeable and I just look terrible. Before they say it's due to improper after care I only sleep on my back because I recently had surgery and I use absolutely no makeup that's why I get the extensions, so there has been no oil around my lashes. I know some shedding is accredited to my lash grow cycle but upon further inspection of the extension my lashes didn't fall, the extension simply fell. I called at 12:19 for a solution and Leah (who had done my sister lashes) picked up and when I asked to speak with someone who could help me she said there's no one there and there's no manager that can help, they will help tomorrow. I don't need help tomorrow I got my lashes done for an event today, I needed help today. The dismissal and poor attitude to help customers reach a solution is very sad. I am a paying customer I paid for a service this isn't free. If I call because the service was not performed correctly to find a solution and instead I'm dismissed it's really upsetting. I want to speak to someone about getting a refund on my membership as I didn't have August refill and a refund on this full set as it was not at all what I paid for and I'm closing my cycle with amazing lash studio Burke. I'm very sad to go and I hope the owners of this establishment can find a solution to the problems happening because the location is great and some of the girls there are wonderful but small things like customer service are not there and an establishment like this won't operate with bad service. Please do not waste your time, and money. I am extremely understanding and never complain. Being a fellow cosmetologist myself, I thoroughly understand everyone has to start somewhere, everyone's style is unique and a service is still product and their time. However, I did at least a 10 minute consultation before even laying down, showing inspiration pictures, discussing lengths, fullness, my likes, dislikes, past history. I believed we were on the same page for how receptive she was and just how we discussed everything. I laid for like 2.5 hours getting a full set, opened my eyes and I was so excited for how light they felt and to see my results. She didn't even give me a mirror to see my results. Walked to the front and I expected an up charge for the mega volume and the $99 initial set. Paid $164 total for my "mega volume set". I got in the car, looked and immediately was disheartened by my appearance and how my lashes looked. I get (and most people) get lashes to enhance their appearance and feel beautiful and confident. Absolutely not with this set. They were single lashes, maybe 1-3 fans on each eye. As I studied my eyes more I noticed natural lashes with no lashes attached, leaving gaps and my natural lashes clumped together with the false one attached to like 3 of my natural. I am extremely disappointed. She did communicate that I had some breakage and would have to make them "fuller" and I said that's alright because I'd rather have them fuller than sparse. I immediately called the receptionist and she advised me the manager would call me Monday and she'd leave a note. If I didn't hear anything to call Wednesday. Didn't hear anything Monday so like I was told to do I called Wednesday. Spoke to someone and they advised me to send pics to and email and they would respond as soon as possible. It's now Friday and I haven't heard anything back. So I called to follow up, and I hate to be a pest but I would like to get some communication on what's happened and how we can fix this. The receptionist told me that the manager is away now visiting family. Which I sympathize with it's that time of year but my issue is not being addressed. I don't want to inconvenience the receptionist because it's not necessarily her job to fix this. Doing her job she's trying to set me up to come in, but rightfully so I am distrusting and not wanting to waste more of my time laying down for hours to open my eyes and possibly have similar results. They told me I was with a senior stylist to begin with and she did this? Now they want to set me up with a "master stylist" sorry but what is the difference and I again just don't want to waste my time again to not get the results I am desiring. All while having to probably pay for the fix and tip the new stylist. I'm not made of money. At this point I just want to be reimbursed for the service. With the lack of communication, wasting my time, and money. Save yourself the headache and support a small business. At this point I expect nothing else but my money back. This was my first experience getting my lashes done. I can't remember the name of the person who did them but it turned out horrible. There were tons of spaces and the lashes were glued too far out. I should mention that I chose the 6D lashes which were an up charge of $56. As soon as I look in the mirror I see that some lashes were about to fall off and indeed did within 5 mins. When we gave our complaints to the original lash technician, she basically said that it was due to my lack of lashes and made me feel like fixing it was an inconvenience. That's the negative. The pros were that both front desk workers were extremely kind and helpful. Kati (another lash technician) heard what was going on and came to the rescue. She quickly filled in the gaps in my lashes and made them look a whole lot better. Thank God for her willingness and obvious experience she was able to help. Later, Jimmy (another worker) made sure we were satisfied and answered all of our questions and concerns. I have a membership here and usually go in Austin but am living in the DC area for a few months. The experience was nice, but my lashes are NOT good! They're falling out and are sparse after less than a week. I guess I will try the other location in the area before I end my membership. So unprofessional, unreliable, stylists has no true knowledge of lash extensions, stylists and receptionist are rude, my appts have been canceled or rescheduled 5x in the 7x I have scheduled at the Burke location, they confirmed my appt 3x via texts, and email then proceeds to tell me that I don't have an appt at that time but a later time as I wait 20 min in the receptionist area, but when I am 8 min late, they make me sign a waiver for being late. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. The manager spoke with me in May saying that she doesn't have enough stylist and some who are reliable unfortunately. This place cannot keep lash stylist. I will go to the Manassas location even though it is 35 minutes away and the Burke one is 5 minutes away. If you want lashes that look great, actually stays on longer than 8-10 days, I would highly recommend Manassas location. The staff is amazing, the owner is so kind and always there to help out with any questions or concerns, the stylists are all professional, and actually want their clients to look great even if it means to not upsale their lashes, the Manassas location is very clean and makes sure that all clients sanitize their hands when walking in. Most importantly though, is I am trusting the lash stylist with my lashes and eyes which are very delicate part of our face. The stylist today at the Burke location, Chelsea, hurt my right eye as she was "separating my lashes" and I felt my lashes being poled with the tool or being pulled out as I screamed out in pain. My right eye started tearing up profusely and I told her it was hurting. NOT ONCE DID SHE APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT HAPPENED. When I saw how careless she was and didn't care as she proceeded to continue tugging at my lid, I told her to stop and that I was hurting. She stopped and didn't even ask where I was hurting but did argue with me that she didn't do anything except separate my lashes. I asked her then why was my right eye tearing up profusely. She rolled her eyes to me and turned around and walked away. I went to check out with receptionist, she was on the phone and I told her I wanted to make a complaint about Chelsea, and the receptionist ignored me and looked the other way. Mind you, this appt was the makeup appt from a couple days ago when the receptionist argued with me about my appt time. My right eye still hurts(feels like something is in my eye) as if there's blobs of glue on top of my lashes that Chelsea did. read more

I've been a member with Amazing Lash Studios since 2015. I moved to the DC area in 2019, and couldn't go back to the NJ location every month so I found the franchise in Burke. My first experience with Amazing Lash in Burke was ok. This place is my last resort when I don't have time to go back home to Jersey. Every time I go I try to see someone different and every time I go I leave asking myself why did I go back to this place? Nobody has any experience with lash extensions. My lashes are always clumped on top of my own lashes. I always tell the girls please don't put the lashes to close to my lids because they hurt, and not to put the lashes on 2 or more of my own lashes, but then it always happens. I had got a full set done at this place and it was like I got a fill. When I get fills it looks like I got a 30 min touch up. Now that's just an issue with the lashes, this location is highly overpriced. My last visit will definitely be my last visit to the Burke location. I recently placed my account on hold because I have 3 credits available and wanted to pause it. Every other place that I've been to throughout the years told me ( if my account was on pause) that they would have to open up my membership in order for me to get the membership pricing. Yesterday when I went to my appointment in Burke the girl at the front desk told me my total was $90.99 for a 30 Min Touch-Up. I was like wow that's a lot, and paid the bill and figured this place keeps getting expensive, and I asked for a receipt. When I left I looked at the receipt and it said $69.99 for NON MEMBER. so I went back inside and asked them why I didn't get the member price? The girl told me because my account is frozen. I totally had forgot at the time that I did freeze my account, and usually the girls at any amazing lash with let me know that my account is frozen and it needs to be opened back up to get the member discount. Well this girl didn't tell me that. So the girl said she couldn't do anything about it and showed me the agreement that said if you account is frozen you will be charged for non member pricing. Well if I remembered that my account was frozen I would have unfroze my account to get the member pricing, it's not like I haven't been a member since 2015 and I have 3 credits on file. Customer service at this location needs to be monitored. I don't know who the manger is but I never see him/her. People that go to this location don't have any other lash experience to compare with, if they did they would not be going to this location. If I could give this place Zero stars I would. read more

Update: Since my last visit, I have noticed a bump on my upper eyelid and it keep getting bigger. Went to my eye doctor and it was determined to be an infection and told it is caused due to bacteria getting in to my eyelash. I have a discomfort on that eye and been on pain advil for the discomfort; not sure how clean the material is but I was advised not to go anymore and find a place that is clean. I asked the receptionist to have the manager give me a call regarding my concern so they don't do this to others but never heard anything. I have not returned back to this place and will never return here. I found another place to get my extensions. Last month was my first time coming to to this place. I was asked to wash my eyes with their foaming cleanser and came back to the front where I met my stylist who was a very sweet girl Who's name I can't recall. She took her sweet time with me and I left happy. I took away one star that it's a very long process the first time. I went back for my refills and another girl named Woen did my refills. She listened to my concerns and gave her recommendations. Since I am still new to this, I felt lots of pulls and tinny punches but didn't felt them the first time. Kudos to the customer service at Amazing Lash Studio (which I already suspected would be great considering how friendly the girls at the front are -- shoutout to Max!). After my okay-but-not-super-stellar initial experience, Amazing Lash Studio reached out and invited me back free-of-charge to make sure I was completely satisfied with my experience. I appreciated this, and I did have a much better experience the second time around. I had the same technician as last time, Jenny, who did a much gentler job this time around. My lashes look AWESOME -- I explained that I had been looking for a fuller look, and she took the time to talk me through my options more thoroughly. She showed me a bunch of various lash types and lengths, including their Volume Lashes, which involve multiple lashes coming out of one (you can get it in either 3 or 6-strand versions.) There's an upcharge for this, but I decided that going with the Volume Lashes would help me get the more full and dramatic look I was hoping for -- and I was right! My lashes look baller and make me feel amaaaazing. I did the 6D lashes, in length 15, in their Cute style (lol, it's like the Starbucks order equivalent of lash extensions.) The other benefit of these Volume Lashes is that because you get more lash per individual extension, they take less time to apply. Which was great, since we ended up actually removing a majority of my old extensions to apply these new ones, which is a little bit of a lengthy process (it involves a gel solution applied to your lashes, and then waiting for it to dissolve the eyelash glue which BURNS if it gets into your eye -- fair warning! -- and still didn't actually remove everything, lol). So the entire process still wasn't 100% pain-free or 100% comfortable, but the end result this time was WORTH IT and definitely makes me want to continue keeping this gorgeous lash life up. read more

Very poor scheduling. I scheduled online for a lash lift and brow wax for 9am. Checked in only to be told it would not be able to get done because they don't do brow waxes at 9am. Nothing even said about the lash lift. The stylist was too worried about her other client coming in to even try and figure out the situation. And they had around 2 weeks to look at the schedule from the time of my appointment and could have seen it and saved issues all around. Words do not describe the quality service I have received that this ASL location. I had almost given up hope with Amazing Lash. I love in California and I have visited this location twice both while on business travel. I have been to 3-4 lash locations in the area where I live (Sacramento) and they were just terrible. The two visits I've had here is better than the 12+ visits I've had at the other Ca locations. THANK GOD I found Alex, I have not used the other stylists here, but if any of them are like Alex then you're in good hands. This place is new but the owners definitely know the business because they have hired the best. Give it a shot. Horrible horrible time. My roommate goes to the ashburn location, and I was originally booked there, however the stylist called in sick and they could not rebook me for another week. So I went ahead and booked at the Burke location to have my lashes done before I went to the beach. Horrible, TERRIBLE, borderline nightmare experience. They up charged me on all of the extra products i had bought to try to maintain and take good care of the lashes. They up charged me for 6D volume lashes, even though my lash line was very thin, filled in sparsely, and there was absolutely no blending of the lashes into my inner corner. After fluffing them with the wand they have been somewhat manageable. But here we are a week later and I have clumps falling out, my lashes look terrible, this morning I looked in the mirror and started crying because of how awful they look. I have an appointment with ashburn tomorrow to have them fixed, but again that's now more money I have to spend to get the glam lashes I paid for and desired in the first place. After reading the reviews I see that clumpy, thin, uneven lashes is a common complaint about this location. I'm not sure why the franchise owner would not have her current esthetician's go back to training to do better, or hire better esthetician's who can meet client expectations. Today I came in at 10 am for my lash appointment that was rescheduled from the office on Friday because they claimed they did not have anyone to do my lashes on my original appointment on Saturday. I came in and saw (Alex) whom was more than 5 minutes laI first explained to her the way I liked my lashes to look and how the glue on my last visit caused my lashes to fall sooner than normal. She gave me a weird look and said "your lashes look like a mess. I'm going to have to take my time de tangling then and hopefully I can give you a refill" then mid way she stopped and said you need a removal and a full set. Then she declined service. I spoke to the receptionist and she said you can go to Woodbridge or ashburn. Casually telling me to burden myself by driving more than 10 miles to get a refill. At that point i asked to speak to the manager and they declined that as welll. I told them they had literally ruined my morning. Great! After a disastrous first visit, the manager at Amazing Lash Studio in Burke had told me that she would have a complimentary full set saved in my file in the event that I ever decided to give them a try again (as they would not refund me the +$200 I had spent on a 3D volume set before). I was in the area, so I stopped in to see about using that complimentary set this week before an event that I have coming up. As it happens, the manager did NOT make any note about the complimentary full set that I had been offered as consolation for the learning experience that was my first visit. The young lady working the front desk had to leave me to myself for several minutes while she tried to contact the manager to see what I was talking about. When she did finally return, she told me that the manager had given her the ok to schedule a free full set for me, but that it wouldn't be the replacement 3D volume set that I had been promised before. I could get the bare-bones set for free, but I would need to pay a significant amount if I wanted the same set that I had paid for and not properly received before. They already got over $200 out of me with that scam last time. I'll not give them the opportunity to squeeze more money out of me and ruin my lashes again, especially when this "apology set" was supposed to be a chance for them to do what they should have done the first time. read more

I got my lashes done by Kierra right before the grand opening. She was great! She took her time to make sure my lashes were put on correctly and honestly I thought they were going to hurt but she was super careful and made me feel comfortable. I got the natural lashes and I love them! Hoping to go back to her soon! read more

The lashes fell off within 3 days. Each day little by little. I was on travel could not go back. I am still out of the states. I called spoke to someone at the front desk and i have yet to hear back. Awful experience. The customer service is even worse. read more
