I moved recently to Northern Virginia from Philly. I've gotten lash extensions the past 3 years and I honestly cannot find a lash place that has been able to do my lashes like how I normally get them. She did my lashes and my lashes looked FULL and the retention was amazing. I went for a refill (lashes on my eyes were from my philly salon) and she knew exactly the lengths, style and curl my previous tech used. I went today for a refill 2 weeks after because it's my birthday weekend . And my lashes looked super full already and I contemplated whether or not I even needed to get them done. I've been to a few different lash places and this is by far the most customer-centric experience I've had. The consultation was actually a consultation! Ellie made sure I knew what specific length and curve/curl I was going to get, down to the number/letter she would be using in order to achieve my desired look. This is important to me because in the past "not too long" and "not too crazy" was the best I could do to explain what I wanted. Ellie was efficient and actually only took ~45min instead of the 1.5 hours another place took. This is definitely due to her experience as she knew in the first few minutes that my previous extensions irritated me and caused me to rub and lose my natural lashes. I've been getting my lashes done from Ellie since May 2019 and I've been extremely satisfied with my lashes every time! I never got lash extensions until I moved to Korea temporarily for 2 years back in 2016. When I came back to the NoVA area, I tried a couple other places and lash artists before finding Ellie but the quality was nowhere near what I used to get back in Korea... When I had my first appointment with Ellie, she was very thorough in understanding exactly what I wanted. A little background with my eye shape: I have monolids and my lashes become "hidden" whenever my eyes are opened under the hood of my eyes. I explained the situation and she put on longer lashes (C curl) than she normally would for her Asian clients. The results were phenomenal and I couldn't be happier! We tried new lengths and styles every once in a while and I have found my ultimate favorite which are DD lashes. I've never tried/seen DD lashes even in Korea and I am most certain majority of lash extensions place around the area don't have them as options either. Bottom line is I will never go to another lash artist as long as Ellie is available. She's such a lovely lady with full of smiles and positivity. The lash lift and tint itself looks great! It's just what I wanted- a little extra curl and length to my every day lashes without having to apply mascara or curl them. It completes the natural face look :) The only minor "critiques" I would make are: 1) She has back to back appointments, so when I was brought in right after the last girl, she asked me to lay down on the same sanitary pad under my head from the last girl and I needed to ask her to change it. And 2) It turned out fine, but my eye was twitching a lot and she said she was worried I might have an allergic reaction - so I would have felt better if she did a spot test first since I told her this was my first time with these chemicals.
