I have given this place a try for about a month and a half now -- am even a member for the pricing -- and so far I have had consistent issues with MAJOR fallout after about a week that none of my friends have. I have to go every two weeks and even that's not enough. I follow all their instructions -- my current problem is obvious fallout in one eye over another. My last stylist was texting and listening to music and had to majorly rush this last eye during my last fill. I've tried to call and get a new appointment but no one will call me back, I didn't know about their 3 day policy until I stumbled upon yelp. So, my Stylist Desiree became the new Manager and is no longer doing lashes, boy was I disappointed. I switched to Mariah who is a Master stylist, and she is wonderful however her hours do not work with my work schedule. I tried a couple of other Master stylists, and they were okay to me. Upon a recommendation from John, I tried a new stylist named Maria and I must say she is the BOMB. My lashes look amazing even my Husband stated how great they look. The experience getting my full set was very pleasant and I was very pleased with the outcome. Unfortunately, I lost a considerable amount of lashes within the first few days. I was very happy when they offered to fill them for free since it was within 72 hours. Unfortunately, by the end of the week they were once again very thinned out. I followed all aftercare instructions, but I believe they are falling out due to me sweating a lot. I dance/workout 5-6 days a week and my face sweats a lot, so even though I was using an oil free cleanser and have only applied eye makeup once and removed with an oil free remover... they still fall out very regularly. It's been one week since my fix, and they look pretty pitiful. I will probably try to get them filled one more time since I have a bunch of events coming up, but it doesn't seem like this works for my lifestyle unfortunately. read more

The actual lash lift service I received was good, not great. The service, though, is the reason why I will not return here. I was misled with the pricing on my first appointment. I specifically asked what the charge would be and was told "$89." When I checked out, the charge was $119 because "they booked me with a master stylist," which I did not request, and was NOT told that it would be $30 extra. I certainly would have not chosen to do this if I was told the complete truth about the service. No one tried to make this right with me and did not seem to care that I was misled. Lashes lasted for a month! Inquired about a membership upon my first visit and there was a little bit of miscommunication about signing up; however, the lashes are high quality and clientele are skilled and educated, so it's worth the extra buck to sign up. Janelle, the owner, was very accommodating when my first set of lashes needed a correction and also took a professional stance on verbalizing and clarifying the miscommunication exchanged at the Lincoln park location. On the downside of things, I'm a little sad that I won't get the membership refill-price because of my experience with the miscommunication. I've been getting eyelash extensions for the past 5+ years, so I have fairly high standards based on past experience. I recently moved to Chicago and was recommended Amazing Lash Studio from a couple friends. Overall, Amazing Lash Studio is a great studio and staff was always friendly. Perfect location in the heart of Lincoln Park and super easy to get to via public transportation. Another plus is their membership for $130 a month for two fills. Based on other places in Chicago, this is pretty reasonably priced. After a couple poor experiences (top lashes glued to bottom lashes or falling out the day after), Janelle, was more than willing to get me in and fix my lashes. Great customer service! She even called and texted to make sure I was all set. I then started to see Issamar who I haven't had any issues with and always leave happy (recommend her!). +1 star for both of them. Unfortunately, I'm used to wearing silk lashes and the glue they use doesn't seem to work for me. Many times the lashes fall off within the first few days despite being extra careful (I haven't had this issue in the past). I wish this would've worked out but will be taking a break from extensions and hope to find another place that works better for me. read more

I am a member and usually frequent the Streeterville location but decided to check out Lincoln Park. Admittedly, my first experience didn't go great as I was with someone who was a little distracted during the appointment. I ended up letting the business know and I was so impressed with their response and eagerness to make things right! They got me in with Mariah the next day to correct any issues, and my lashes have never looked better. No joke! Mariah literally combed through every lash to find any spots with missing extensions or problems. I am SOO happy with how they look now. I have heard that Mariah's appointments are really hard to come by as she is one of the best in the business but regardless, I will definitely be back to this studio. I don't recommend this studio. The first time I went, I asked for a natural look. The lady did whatever she wanted and gave me what they call a "sexy" look. I was upset, especially since I work in the legal field..which is very conservative. I went again today for a refill and I asked the tech to make my lashes look more natural and not "sexy". I am leaving disappointed. My refill is not good. Furthermore, I called prior to my appointment and asked if I could reschedule for the following day. They said they would need to charge me 50% of the service price even though I was rescheduling. I went in anyway so I wouldn't lose money, but looking at this refilll, I wasted money nonetheless because I'm unhappy with the service. I ended up cancelling my membership. read more

I was so unhappy with how they turned out at the end, one of the ends of my lashes weren't even finshed, my corner eyes were both missing and it looked bad and not filled at all. this was my first time trying eyelash extensions, and while the staff was friendly the experience was uncomfortable. I was assured by staff that my eyes burning was normal but have since learned from others who have gotten extensions that it is not. The most disappointing aspect of the whole experience was that they started falling out less than two days afterwards and have continued to do so everyday since. Also I did sign up for the membership when I was there because it seemed worth it and I was assured that I had until the 31st to cancel it and all I had to do was call, however when I did (in light of my subsequent experience) not only were they unapologetic towards my experience but insisted I have to email in my cancellation request. The cancellation wasn't about the irritation it was about them beginning to fall out less than two days after being applied. Also I did not understand that my cancellation was applied when I called in so I apologize but in regards to the rest of my review it's not so much for you but just my authentic experience of your services for others to use as they see fit. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter to get her lashes done with the "introductory full set". She showed the stylist Mariah a picture of how she wanted her lashes, and they came out nothing like the picture (which is fine). My problem was the +$20 they charged for "volume" lashes and my daughter returned home with spacey short lashes. When my daughter asked Mariah to add more lashes, as she wanted to leave satisfied, Mariah replied "Well I've already added one to each". Poor customer service as my daughter also signed up for the membership. I will be cancelling her membership soon and they fill in the missing lashes she has lost in less than 24hours, and we will be finding a new place. read more

BUYER BEWARE! (See picture) I had an allergic reaction to these lashes and had to seek medical help because it was so bad! I was getting my lashes done for almost a year and kept getting dry skin on my eyes after the treatments. I told the technician and the owner about the dry skin after the treatment. They decided to switch me to their sensitive glue. I still was having dry skin after treatments and shared that with them. They told me to put lotion on my eyelids and to take a Benadryl before treatments. They never once told me to stop getting eyelashes and continued to charge my account and book appointments with me. I recently stopped going to them because I had such an extreme allergic reaction to their glue. I had to go to the doctor and now have medical bills as a result. When I spoke with the owner she agreed to remove the lashes for free but would not give me a refund for the service. I had to get all of the lashes removed a day after getting them and she would not even consider partially refunding me for the service. She was not sympathetic to the situation at all and kept saying they have records of telling me to stop... which is not true at all as she NEVER said that and was happy to continue charging my account. She continued to try to push the blame on me but aren't they supposed to be the professionals and should of stopped the service. So the blame is on them for neglecting to do the right thing. Terrible customer service, terrible product, and terrible business. Don't go here! **Also, the response below from the owner is an excellent example of their poor customer service. The response lacks professionalism as she called my honest review 'nasty' and takes no ownership for any of their wrong doing in the situation. I have never berated anyone on the phone either. When I got on the table, the technician took one look at my lashes and knew I would need a full fill versus than the 30 minute mini fill I scheduled for. I was pushed for time because I was preparing for a wedding the following day and there were no available appointments during the time I could make it to do a full fill. I was of course disappointed and thought I'd just be out of luck but John, who was working the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate me. He immediately jumped on the phone and started making phone calls. He finally reached a client and asked if she could come later in order to accommodate me at and earlier time. To the owners response to the numerous times of attempting to contact me, i was the one who reached out several times to them and the back and fourth with managers. Seems like they need to communicate better. I made an appointment to come in with one of the managers then got a call back saying i have to pay for the last two months of membership i never received a service for ($60/month includes your fills) I am more than happy to pay for a service i received. Even if i wasn't happy with it (last service) i will not pay for a service i did not receive. I will not be visiting this studio again. I never even signed any paper work saying that i had to pay for months that i did not use the service. The manager agreed there is no paper work on file that i signed. So after all the issues i am having they want me to return but pay $120. Thank you for the failed attempt of trying to keep a good client. read more

No where on the website or when booking the appointment did it say I would be charged an additional $20 for a master stylist (mind you the only stylist that does lash lifts are master stylist).
