    Do you see lash extensions?  I don't.

    I'm giving them 2 stars because they made a small attempt to correct the problem. First of all, I understand I have short lashes. Why do you think I get extensions? I have NEVER gotten extensions and left the salon looking the same as when I got there. And after 2 hours of service no less. The poor girl must have been a trainee and didn't know what she was doing. I feel sorry for her because whoever should have been supervising her left her in the wind. After a long conversation about the fullness and style I wanted and $150, my lashes looked the same. When I complained, no one apologized, everyone blamed me for having short natural lashes. I've been getting lashes for several years and no one has ever had an issue putting lashes on me. They offered to have someone more experienced redo my lashes later the same day. When I returned I made sure the technician understood how long I wanted my lashes. She told me what I wanted was too long for my lashes to support and she would never do that. Who is training these ladies?!? 1. Customer is always right 2. Listen to the customer, they are the expert on the work they have received in the past. 3. Remain humble and acknowledge staff mistakes, then correct them. Final result was lashes good enough to last until I found somewhere else. I still was not pleased. Needless to say I will not go back there or recommend any salon in the chain. Btw, the picture of me smiling with lashes is there to show my lashes ARE long enough to support longer extensions without a problem.

    I am so annoyed at this whole experience. I have never gotten my lashes done before and wanted to try out their $25 service to see if I liked my lashes enough to be a regular. The $25 training fee is for a "classic" set which I knew I wanted in "natural". From there it was explained to me that they offer you either a 'doll' (longer in the middle) or cat eye (longer at the ends) look and my stylist and I were on the same page: classic natural cat eye w 12mm lashes at the longest. Zoey was my stylist. The appointment itself was fine, the music they played was enjoyable, and really nothing notable happened until the end. About 2 1/2 hours in some employee just comes right into the room (my eyes are closed the whole time) and my stylist says "I'm almost done I swear." The employee just laughs and says "okay." And Zoey says "5 more minutes". Employee leaves and sure enough 5 more minutes and some last lashes are finished up and I'm looking in the mirror for the first time... Zoey asks if I like them and I immediately say they're really long, and I don't feel like they go out at the ends, like they don't look like the cat eye style I was shown before the appointment. Zoey says she'll put the length preference in my file and I'm out of the studio (after some lash care explanation). At the front desk, they ask how I like my lashes and I say "ummm, they're really long and it's not the style I want" and they say again how they'll put it in my preference for next time. The photos are the result (same day). I'm frankly so annoyed that I wasted my hard earned money on this service that is a result I did not even want. They are all the exact same length and look neither classic, natural, or cat eye. There's gaps in the lashes, some were placed completely sideways, very high up on my eye lid, or are not even 'up' in the outer half of my eye, or straight up don't even reach the edge of my eye! I really feel as though this random employee rushed my inexperienced stylist and I'm stuck with a result I hate. I'm so upset.

    I'm pretty surprised with the low overall ratings for this studio. I hesitated for quite a while before going in. I was pleasantly surprised after my first visit! The studio is clean and comfortable. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful and my lash artist, Valeria, is fantastic. I love their monthly lash plan and signed up on my first visit. The pricing is very competitive with others I've seen in the area. I have only had lash extensions done so I can't speak to the other services offered but I'm very satisfied with my experience and will continue to return.

    I have huge gaps and they still keep falling out.

    Update - the studio reached out to fix my issue which I am grateful for. I will be going back this evening to see a "seasoned" lash girl. Just in time because I lost every lash on the corner of my left eye this morning while cleaning my lashes with the appropriate lash cleanser. I mean it's bare. I have half an eye with lashes. I will update my review after tonight. I was waiting a few days to post my review because my lashes looked good when I walked out of the salon. My stylist Zoey was very sweet and gentle, but unfortunately almost $200 later and having to scramble to fix my lashes, the work is not good and I felt it necessary to review. My usual lash girl was sick and canceled on me but I am a performer and have two weeks of crazy rehearsals and tech before we open our show so I HAD to have my lashes done for performances. I read the bad reviews and like an idiot still booked. My lash girl is amazing. I understand it was what they call a "foreign" fill but it says something that the lashes this studio placed have literally now ALL fallen off. I even asked if they needed to remove and do a full set but they said they could do the fill. It was $130 and I tipped $30. So I dropped almost $200 and look worse than when I first went in. I now have to BUY fake lashes just so I can perform and I can't see my lash girl for two weeks because of schedule. Please do yourselves a favor and find a home based, licensed lash girl, go on social media and look for their pictures and work. It's a fraction of the cost of this place and the quality is a lot better. I will never go back. I'd rather wear fake lashes than go this route again. And before someone comments I didn't visit the Goodyear location. My last name is Rivera and that is the name it was booked.

Even prior to my 1st appointment I had to "pre-pay" which I have never done, not even at high end salons. I can understand if I was a "repeat offender" but just like attorneys, dentists and doctors there are salons everywhere. What a way to keep your client base!!! I do not even do this if a patient does not show up for an appointment at my office. Again, consider the situation?? They didn't ask about the situation it was all about the money. If a repeat offender of course I get it but things happen in life that take more important precedence than a haircut appointment. So if you are new and want to have to pre-pay for your service before even walking thru the door or EVER have an emergency 24 hours prior to your appointment DO NOT GO HERE-find a better salon!!!!!!!!!!

    I've been to Hello Sugar before (particularly this location) and usually had good experiences, but…read morethis last visit was really disappointing. My original esthetician was great overall, but she accidentally missed a very small section on one side during my Brazilian. Mistakes happen, so I called and was told coming back to fix it would be complimentary. When I returned, a different esthetician saw me. The fix literally took maybe 3 minutes total, but instead of simply correcting the issue, she insisted the hair was still there because that area "isn't included" in a Brazilian service. I've been getting Brazilians for over 12 years and have never once had that tiny section intentionally left untouched..... just on ONE SIDE MIND YOU...so the explanation honestly felt dismissive and gaslighting....actually it didn't feel that way. It WAS that way. What made the experience worse was that after fixing maybe 10 hairs, she tried charging me $25 for a "touch-up" that was clearly correcting an honest mistake from the original appointment. The employee I saw around 1 PM on Saturday the 23rd of May seriously needs better customer service training. Customers come back when businesses handle small issues professionally and respectfully -- not when they're made to feel like they're wrong for pointing out a missed spot. Really disappointing experience this time. Train your employees how to handle this better and take accountability.
