I've been a client of amazing lash for a handful of years now, I always recommend everyone to be seen with a master tech, until today. I no longer recommend this location specifically. Highly unsatisfied with my master tech service yesterday (12/2) I requested for the front desk to have the manager give me a call back no call back, called the following day to request to speak to the manager, She was unavailable and to this day I have not been able to get a hold of anyone to inform them of my dissatisfaction with the service. Not only was glue put directly into my eyes multiple times, but lash tech decided to put clusters on me when I have always had the same service for years now- whenever I asked the lash texch if she had used clusters, she denied. As someone with small shaped eyes I've always asked for a natural look, I currently look like I have store-bought last strips on my lashes and enough glue on top of everything to last me the next five lash services. I'm guessing anyone that has some sort of experience (and no training) can be a master tech at this location read more

If I give them a low star rating, I worry they'll punish me, like with forty lashes, perhaps. Lately Barbie has started getting her lashes done, so over the last eighteen months we've been to five or six lash studios, including a couple of independent ones and a few chains, just because they happened to be the closest and cheapest when we needed something done. This is a chain which is pretty affordable and offers pretty good stuff and service is nice as well. So while I would say that we are fans, it hasn't been vastly superior to the locations of the same chain that are near where we live. So while we wouldn't drive up to the Woodlands just to come here, if we ever need lashes for Barbie in The Woodlands again, this would definitely be top of the list. read more

This was one of the worst Lash experiences iv had at an amazing lash studio. I was a member at the lake Houston location which closed down and I was told my existing credits would be honored at any other location. I made an appointment and asked specifically for a senior stylist because I wanted someone with experience and didn't want to be there for hours. When the stylist Allison came out to get me she asked what style I wanted ect she began to do my lashes she had headphones in and I could her hear listing to something the entire time. She didn't say a single word to me the entire time and even walked out of the room 2 times in middle of doing my lashes without a word. At the end of my appointment she asked how my lashes felt and they felt fine nothing was hurting or felt off. I sat up and she didn't even offer me a mirror to look at them so I got up and found a mirror to see the end result. She didn't ask if I was happy with them or had a concerns. She was very short and not personable what so ever. I asked for a gorgeous volume full set which is a $45 up charge of a regular full set. This is exactly what I got for over a year straight at the other amazing lash location and what I left with was no where near what my lashes usually look like. When it came time for me to check out of course they couldn't find my existing credits from the other location and the lady at the front desk told me I could call back at a later time to speak to a manager because she was new and not sure how to go about the situation. It was a few mins before the shop was about to close so nothing could be done with my lashes or my payment method so I plan to follow up today. When I paid I gave her a different card vs the card I had on file for my appointment. She charged that card and upon leaving I got a notification the card I had on file was charged $72 as well. When I went back inside to ask about the charge she said she didn't charge anything for $72. And I'd have to follow up with the manager. It's been 2 days since iv had my full set and it looks like they are two weeks old, half of them have already fallen off. I hope when I call today I can either get a refund or have a different stylist fix my lashes. Paying $145 for this service is unacceptable. I have been going to this location for probably over a year. One master stylist there is great. Anyone else I had there not so much. The last time the master stylist wasn't available after someone entered in the wrong appointment time for me so I scheduled with someone else. As nice as could be but just short of 2 hours later and probably 25% of my lashes fell out that night is crazy!!! And the receptionist comment when I'm done and ask if the girl is mew because it took so long..... her response, yet the last client was really mad. I never leave bad reviews but I am so shocked by the management/service here. Here is my last experience: 1) I arrived for my appointment 4 min late and was told I was 15 minutes late by the manager and that they would do what they could in the time they had because I was so late. I then corrected them and said I was only 4 min late and the receptionist thought my appointment was at 2:50 and she didn't check me in right away so the technician was not aware of my arrival. I mentioned that I waited in the lobby at least 10 minutes she then said "oh ok sorry we have plenty of time actually we have until 3:40" (well that changed quickly you just said you'll do what you can) now we're down to about 40 min for 3D volume lashes ) 2)The tech was nice but they did not look like volume lashes or nearly full enough and there were lashes missing 3) I come in for my correction appointment. She tells me she doesn't have any 3D volume lashes for my correction so she will use single to fill them in. (But I paid for 3D) At the finish tell her I'm happy with them and they look much fuller which they did. But they're still not 3D. 4) Fast forward to manager phone call - Tammy and I speak and she insists that my lashes are full without even asking to see them, and tells me "well my tech Taylor said you told her you were happy if you want a more dramatic look you need to get 6d lashes" I kept telling her I don't want dramatic lashes I just want the upgraded lashes that I paid $20 extra for- All together $59.99 monthly $20 3D $10 Service tip $5 correction tip Almost $100 and still can't get what I paid for I did not get upgraded, I got regular full lashes. All I asked for is my 3D lashes that I paid for. I want a refund or credit for actual 3D lashes. I am a medical professional for a hospital and I am familiar with sanitation practices but I won't even begin to mention anything about that since I tolerated it but I will say my co-worker changed locations due to this problem. I'm completely disappointed with the customer interaction I received today. Abby who has worked here for a year was completely rude and disrespectful to me today. Abby seems to have no concept of making sure your customer is taken care of. The interaction was so bad that when I left I called the non emergency police department and filed a complaint for documentation purposes. I will also contact the Better Business Bureau and the corporate office!! Abby stated she was in communication with Bridgette the manager who also was unable to offer any viable solutions. I have been a loyal customer who tried to comeback for service after Covid to be confronted with this has made me extremely livid!! My lashes I got 1 week ago we're not to my satisfaction so I came in to pay for a redo. The key operative word is pay for a redo at full price because Bridgette refused to offer any discount. I granted was 9 minutes late because I missed a turn on my way there. The service is a 30 minute service. The least that could have been done is to say we will take care of you but your service may be shortened as far as time is concerned. Do NOT go to the Woodlands/ Portofino location. You WILL be disappointed! This has been the worst location I have visited, and I HAVE BEEN AN AMAZING LASH MEMBER FOR 12 YEARS. I say "member" because they sell memberships. You can purchase a 2x per month or 1x per month membership. The 1x per month is more expensive, but if you have a good stylist and are used to wearing lash extensions 1x is all that is needed. At least it was till I moved and began visiting this location. At this location the stylists are not as good. They are nice, and try, but they lack the same level of skills as the stylist at other locations. While I moved, and would have continued to drive to my base location, an hour from my new home, my stylist quit during the forced shutdowns and it didn't make sense to make that drive. While Portofini is 30 minutes from my home, they had a "Master Stylist," and the closer location did not. While I expected the Master Stylist title to be of same skill level, as previous location, that doesn't appear to be the case. They don't measure up at all! While I can still go four weeks, I noticed immediately my lashes shed much quicker than they had at my base location. At my base location I always had over half my lashes four weeks out from a refill. It is important, for reviews sake, to note I have religiously had my lashes done every four weeks for 12 years straight. I took only one break, when forced CV shutdowns took place. Once reopened, and moved, I visited this location. It wasn't the closest, but had a Master Sylist. While all locations sell the same packages, I have noticed this location makes up its own rules. While they have a 1x a month package, they clearly do not honor 1x a month customers. If you dont get lashes done every 2-3 weeks, they automatically schedule you for a full-set which is double your monthly membership rate. Clearly this is their way of forcing people into a 2x a month package. And the management seems to always be changing. I am unsure if the issue is the new manager, that barely looks old enough to vote, or a new policy, but this was NOT the policy at my old location or even this location a few months back. Either way, I am cancelling my 12-year membership after their latest stunt. While my lashes shed more, my stylist and I were working through the issues with skill level differences. I did notice, these past few months, over charges hitting my credit card statement that I did NOT approve. This week my appt was scheduled and cancelled less than an hour before I was to arrive. THEY called to cancel it due to my stylist calling in ill. While they would have charged me a large 50% fee for not giving proper notice, they had no qualms about charging me for a full-set due to their cancelling (and being unable to reschedule me) my appointment and forcing me outside the forbidden four week rule. While I still had over 25% of my lashes, my stylist getting the virus pushed me outside their window and I had to eat the increase. UNDERSTAND.....I WAS NOT THE ONE TO PUSH MY APPT, THEY WERE. BECAUSE I WAS OUTSIDE THEIR WINDOW, I HAD TO PAY DOUBLE. NOPE! Not doing this again! Have already called base location and requested to cancel 12 year membership. Not only did they NOT tell me they were going to double charge me, till after service completed, they took no responsibility for being the reason my appointments were moved past the four week mark. In my opinion, that is not only a sketchy way to run a business, it is a horrible way to treat a very long-time customer. Todays double charge was the very last straw for me. Well, it isnt fun for starters. One eye was rubbed by the adhesive that keeps your bottom lashes down while they do the top and hurt the next day. The chemicals in the glue burn like hell. The lashes clump together all the time so was constantly spreading them back out. Worst of all, they came out in less than 2 weeks. I did nothing that would have caused this. Be Very careful when booking an appointment here!! The receptionist will smile at you and ask sweetly if you want to book early for your draft payment to book a certain day, she conveniently doesn't tell you you will be charged extra for early withdrawals. It happened to both me and my daughter. I also had an issue with the owner not calling me when I asked Three times for them to call me about an allergic reaction I had on my last and final visit. I even went into the studio and asked the receptionist to have them call me, she wrote a note and said she would give it to them. Unprofessional... For the second time in a row, my appointment has been cancelled due to the stylist being out "due to an emergency." I totally get emergencies happen, however it's completely unprofessional to cancel your client's appointments back to back for the same reason. Their only solution was me coming in at a time I had to work, but since they gave me less than 24 hours notice I could not get work to accommodate so I just had to live with being cancelled on again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Came in and got a set of "gorgeous lashes" My technician was coughing during service, complaining that she's been in trouble multiple times for taking her mask off during services (mind you I can't open my eyes to see if she's actually leaving it on or taking it off) My bottom lashes were glued to my top lashes during the service to the point I couldn't open either of my eyes or see at all, which was resolved by the technician RIPPING OUT my bottom lashes, which were then STUCK to my top lashes pointing into my eyeball and I'm now missing patches of my bottom lashes. When I left I noticed half my lashes were laying sideways, downward, glued to my skin and not lashes, multiple lashes glued onto each other all kinds of crooked and it was uncomfortable. I turned down a membership (needing time figure out if this was normal or if the lashes would eventually fall into place when I'm able to brush me) Wasn't given any care instructions by technician other than to not get them wet for 48 hrs, the front desk staff gave me a flyer with the care instructions and told me to read it. Wasn't given a spooly to brush my lashes. I called the next day when I realized my bottom lashes that were ripped out were stuck in all the glue and stabbing into my eyes, as well as the sideways/upside down lashes stabbing me in my eyes. No one answered. I responded to the online review of service in my email with my issues. A week later I get a call from them wanting me to get a membership, I explained the situation and she informed me I should have called so they could fix it, I told her I did with no answer, and that I was out of town for an event. She told me the person who should have responded to my review was out of town and should contact me within a couple of days. It's been weeks and this issue isn't resolved. I want my money back, I have to pay someone else to remove these horrible lashes that are constantly causing me pain and keep causing my real eyelashes to rip out just from BLINKING because they were glued together wrong! I wanted to like this location because I was tired of driving far to another amazing lash to get my lashes done. I paid extra for a master stylist and for volume lashes and my lashes weren't full at all. On top of that half of the lashes on my left eye fell out within a week. I already went to another lash place to get my lashes redone and I plan on cancelling my membership. First time for lashes. Got them here on June 24. Won't do again. Over the next 5 days at least half of the lashes were gone. I didn't wear any facial or eye make up or even wash my eyes over those 5 days. I just wiped face with Neutrogena wipe. At day 10 they were all gone. After they all fell off, my lashes were shorter and damaged. $130 is a lot of money for 10 days of lashes and damage to them afterwards. After the woman finished putting my lashes on, she said, "You washed your eyes with our special wash in the washroom, right?" ... "Um...no, I didn't. No one instructed me to." Not sure if that's why they fell off soon, but I had not worn any make up for a few weeks beforehand since I had LASIK surgery done, so I didn't have any makeup or oil on my lashes. read more

I choose to not give 1 star.. in August of 2020 I terminated my contract and paid for one more month of services as requested in termination contract( which was told this was going to stay as credit and can be used when I rejoin) which won't happen because I'm moving and the closest Amazing Lash Studio is 3 hrs away from our new location. I loved my lashes just wanted to say. I signed my termination request and was continually charged went in again and did it again they said I didn't cancel before. Well I found my first membership termination dated in August. It's like I have to call my credit card and cancel it to get them to quit charging. Couldn't use their website to cancel. Couldn't call had to drive 12 hrs back to cancel. Or say we try to cancel again. They charged through Dec 2020. I really believe I should be refunded oct., nice and dec !!! I used to go to the River Oaks location and I was NOT satisfy because my lashes wasn't falling out quickly. I was going into the shop every 2 weeks. I moved to the Woodlands and I the same thing happened so I ruled it out as the glue is not good so I cancelled my membership. The manager Tammy called me to ask what could she do to keep me happy. At this point I had checked out, but she send me to Sophia. She was so knowledgeable and saw the problems I was having. My first time with lash extensions. I made an appointment a week ago which required a credit card. There are no master stylist at this location. I was a little nervous about that (only because my friend paid extra for a master stylist at another location). Asia was amazing. She's no nonsense and got right down to business. I was a little uncertain of the style I wanted (natural or glamorous) and the length. With her guidance, I went with natural and a mixture of 12 and 11 length. Perfection. No burning or discomfort. Beautiful. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. I expect a great 2 or 3 weeks with these lashes. I'll update if I experience anything unexpected. I've been coming to the Portofino location for just shy of a year. I have to disagree with all of the negative comments based on my experience. Taylor has been my stylist and I'm extremely happy with her service! The customer service at the front desk has also been top notch. When I walk in I'm greeted by name with a smile. No issues with billing, moving appointments, etc. I feel bad that a lot of the other reviewers have had less than the perfect service that I've experienced. This is the absolute worst business I have ever been to in my life as a customer. 1. I came to my appt a Sunday morning and the receptionist was late, so my stylist and I were then standing outside to be let in, causing my appt to start late. 2. I call to book a "mini fill" and am sent to voicemail. You must book these within 10 days of your last service. They took 2 days to call me back and of course it was on my 10th day saying they had something available that afternoon. Welllll it was Wednesday and I of course have a job so I could not make 3 in the afternoon. So no mini fill. 3. I send a appt request online for a 3D fill. I get a text asking if I could come in at 6:10, I say yes, they reply to you still want the 3D fills. I reply yes! And I can go with any stylist this time thanks for getting me in. Then I never receive a confirmation or anything. So I call the day of to double comfirm that I have an appt and what do you know? No appt booked for me. The front desk and reception is extremely rude and unhelpful. I was seeing Asia as my stylist and she did a great job, always in and out quickly, but unfortunately dealing with the rest of the business is not worth the hassle. I was new to the area and had no clue where to go to get my fills. And even after hearing terrible things I decided to give this place a shot only to be really disappointed. I think this is an amazing business module idea, but is very poorly ran. Never once were any of my complaints sympathized or genuine apology given. I am not one to really care about receiving credits or discounts I just like to go to a place regularly hassle free. And this was not it. The techs are great if you can get in to see them. Under no circumstance use the online booking for this location. This is the 3rd time since January that I show up and my appt isn't showing up on their system. The first time, I made the appt at the studio. A few days before the appt I reschedule it to the a different day but same time. I got a confirmation text the day before the appt and the morning of the appt pushing it back 20 minutes. I show up and they tell me I missed my appt. I show them the text. Sorry, you missed your appt. Mind you I live an hour from the studio. Not even a month later, same issue. The text confirmation showed a different time however I called and confirmed the correct time and told them about the issue.
