I've never felt more relaxed in my life! My vision board for 2026 included more self care, and the first step to taking that was going to a professional to get treated and hear their insight into what I should be doing for my skin. I actually booked this appointment originally for November 2025, but had to reschedule twice because I got really sick both times. I was finally able nail down today's appointment, and the process was super smooth! A deposit is taken upon making the appointment, and the rest is paid after the service. I booked for the Personalized Facial + Manual Lymphatic Drainage (1.5 hours). There is a consultation form that is sent a few days before your appointment so that Nicole can better understand your skin type and routine. I am a combo skin girly with literally only 2 steps to her routine (cleanser and moisturizer, and an occasional toner), but I want to improve my tone and texture. During the facial, Nicole talked me through what she was doing and what products she was using that were tailored to my skin to target my concerns. In the end, she recommended a few products that fit my needs for both my skin and the simple routine that my lifestyle requires. She is incredibly knowledgeable. The massages were also amazing omg, I definitely fell asleep a few times during the facial! It was so relaxing, especially the Manual Lymphatic Drainage at the end of the facial. And Nicole has a super relaxing voice! I am so excited to try out the products she recommended and will definitely be coming back!

And it was sensational Nicole was super attentive, sweet and professional. So easy to talk to super friendly and gentle. The space was very inviting and very welcoming. She thoroughly explain her procedures her steps on how she's going to you know cleanse your face first and then pick away any extractions and then how she goes about with the lymphatic massage part. Love the initial calming lavender spray that she sprays first before starting to you hope you relax and gave a bunch of great tips for aftercare and showed me tips how I can also do gua sha at home. Booked a Tuesday appointment for a back facial, because I've been searching everywhere for one in…read morethe East Bay and I was so excited when I found her website listing one for $120 for 60 minutes! Booked through the website, Paid my deposit and everything and was super excited for the experience. The description is: "Treat your back to a luxurious Back Facial that improves elasticity, hydration, and texture while stimulating collagen production for firmer, more youthful skin. With deep cleansing, exfoliation, and nourishing masks, this rejuvenating treatment revitalizes dry or uneven skin on your back, leaving it smoother and brighter." Got the confirmation text and email and confirmed everything. When I got there, Jenny very kindly informed me that she actually no longer does the back facials, she only does face facials now. I was definitely disappointed, but I had already driven there and had the day off, so I opted for the 10 step Korean facial instead ($199 before tip). She said that she was currently doing an offer for $199 instead of $300+, so I figured why not. This one is 90 minutes instead of 60 minutes. If it's your first time coming, I would recommend getting there 5 mins ish before your appointment so you can park and find the entrance to her room - there's a lot of other businesses here so I did have to take a lap to find the right door in the hallway. Pros: The whole facial experience was actually pretty great - the whole place is clean, easy parking out front. And it's very involved, in a good way. it includes massage to the face, shoulder, neck, arms, as well as all the regular facial stuff like extractions and a mask. She also uses the Plasonic machine (which can feel hot like it's burn/zapping your skin) but you can tell her if it feels too hot and she'll change the settings. She got rid of my blackheads with an ultrasonic skin scrubber and extracted all my whiteheads. There's also red light therapy. The studio is super clean, and Jenny is super sweet and nice, definitely easy to trust the Korean lady. I definitely would not mind coming back for another facial - I left there with my skin feeling super soft, she gave me some skincare tips, and it's a great location if you live in Castro Valley or San Leandro. I would definitely recommend wearing comfortable and thinner pants, because it gets pretty hot in the room with all the treatments. My highest praise would include that the extraction part wasn't as painful as other facials I've had, and the shoulder/neck/arm massage was surprisingly really helpful in relieving some pain I had from work! Cons: - I think it was really hard for me to give a 5, since I feel like I fell for false advertising thinking I was coming for a back facial. Things worked out in the end and I was due for a facial anyway - but I would have done some things differently (like not washed my hair beforehand, since it got a lot oilier after the scalp massage) if I had known I wasn't getting the back facial. Her service is great and I would highly recommend her for facials - and it sounds like her microblading is well appreciated too - but just be aware there are NO back facials here.

Just had my first experience yesterday with Massage Envy Castro Valley and it was good. The front…read moredesk staff is friendly and welcoming, the ambiance for being in a strip mall makes for a nice oasis amid some chaos outside, and the facilities are clean and well maintained. Overall a really nice experience. My massage was well performed and addresses all of my needs. Now, the one area for improvement was the general demeanor and approach of my massage therapist who was cooly professional, but nothing more. When he got me from the lobby he asked "How are you today?" while walking away from me. I replied, and then asked him and got no reply. He then did my pre-massage check in, and then told me he would leave so I could undress but told me to keep my underwear on (This will be important later). Once I was positioned, he retuned, assured me that my add on treatment was present, and then in silince attended to my massage. Once he got to my legs, he realized that my under wear was now in his way and had me sort of turn my boxer briefs into a pair of briefs. Now I'm fine with keeping my underwear on, but once on a table laying on them, trying to relax, having to figure out how to roll and bunch them in a way that is comfortable for me was a challenge. That resolved he finished the massage, and at time said "Okay Timothy, that's time." He then asked if I would like some water and left. No inquiry into my enjoyment, nothing. And let me be clear, I get that this is a transaction, and there is nothing technically wrong with detached cold clinical professionalism, it's just a tad more warmth and genuine curiosity would have made the experience a five star over a four star. Luckily, the front desk staff asked a some great questions after and have now scheduled my next massage with another therapist. Looking forward to many repeat visits.

I've been here a couple times for eye brow threading. I naturally have thick eyebrows with a nice…read moreshape, so I really don't need much, just a clean up. However, every time I went I've noticed that the clean up itself is done messy, the shape is resined, and it's much more painful than other places I've gone to. Additionally, I was left with bleeding scars around my eyebrow, I don't mind it much because I know in a couple days they will heal. However, since the shape and look of the threading was not up to par I was really disappointed to have both pain, scabs, and a result I didn't like. The vibe of the place is nice though: very calm music and the workers are very kind.
